Hotel berhampiran Kalnciema Quarter Farmer's Market, Riga

Everything was excellent, very clean hotel, cleaning every day, changing towels every day, so convenient location, a few meters beautiful park, where you can do walking, city center just 3 stops by tram, we bought 3 day travel pass for 8 euros, enjoyed our time, breakfast is amazing, thank you Chef and hotel management, it is worth 10 star hotel, it is true, amazing service, I will recommend and will come back again P.S. Room we booked was very small standard :) asked for upgrade, but they couldn’t as high season and hotel was full

Stayed at the HGI Riga Old town for 2 nights and had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is very well situated on the edge of the old town by the House of the Blackheads and right by St. Peter’s church with it’s viewing deck. Airport bus 22 (€ 1.81) drops you off minutes away from the hotel – get off once you cross the river and use the underpass to get to the other side of the road to Grēcinieku Street . The lobby was large and very welcoming. Checking was quick and friendly, offered a welcome glass of fizz along with a city map and allocated a room on the 4th floor which was very spacious and clean. Bed was a king and very comfortable, extra pillows should you need them were on the top shelf of the wardrobe. The temperature was easy to control should you want the room to be warmer or cooler. Wifi was fast too. There was also a fridge and kettle with tea & coffee if you wanted to make a hot drink in your room. The bathroom was also a good size, large walk-in shower and plenty of soft towels and Crabtree & Evelyn soaps & shampoo attached to the wall . The mirror was excellent, it was large and well lit and plenty of counter space by the sink for your toiletries. Breakfast was great, super choice of cooked items , delicious smoked salmon, mini hot dogs, cheeses, cold meats and fresh fruit. Plenty of breads and croissants, the cottage cheese pastry was especially good. You could also order fried eggs or an omelet if you did not want the scrambled eggs which were on offer. Tea / coffee machine was easy to use. There was also a glass of fizz for €6 if you wanted to splash out ! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. There are lots of places to eat and drink nearby so you are not far away from anything. Do ask for their list of dining recommendations from reception, it's quite useful. If you fancy a trip to Jūrmala for some sea air, the train station is a brisk 10/15 walk away. An excellent choice if you need a place to stay in Riga and reasonably priced accomodation.

The hotel was amazing from room to the breakfast to the Spa. The location is also very convenient with old town walking distance and the boat tour stop right across. Marvelous view from the riverside. Lots of eating options in the breakfast buffet. The Spa was really fun both for adults as well as kids.

We booked a room with a city view and didn’t get it (but paid for that). Hotel shows that have a parking, but if You will go to the hotel by car you will receive a ticket from police man, so you need to find a parking place. Was loud music till 11 pm. The swimming pool experience was horrible, a lot of man had drinks and food from the local shop, nobody was there to keep on eye what’s going on, so we just left those drunk people to keep parting there.

Stayed one week in small double room. Two twin beds, wardrobe, desk (a plus), bathroom with shower I call a rotisserie as you have not room easily to bend over, heated towel rack. Room is very clean. Breakfast is buffet and predictably boring. Nothing stands out. Staff at the front desk are all excellent and patient. Many parties come through. Few Americans. Mostly other Europeans. Great location in the old city. Recommended. Riga is worth seeing 2-3 days. Significant history and visible evidence of both the Nazi and Soviet occupation. Old influences such as Gustavus Adolfus’s Sweden, old Poland, the Hansestic League can be seen by the discerning. Dining is affordable. Food is hearty. Beginnings of a cafe culture in some spots. Workmanlike service not effusive. Too stolid for that. Friendly in a Baltic register. Contrast? Italy. Worth the trip.

A well designed large hotel, centrally located but surrounded by parks. Service at the front desk and SPA was very courteous and friendly. Breakfast buffet had ample choice. SPA was on the small side, enough for an hour long relaxation session. I’d be happy to stay here again.

This hotel is very well-located near the railway station, so it is walkable from there if you take the bus from the airport. Our room was comfortable and quiet, and we were able to leave our luggage before we checked in, since we arrived early. The breakfast was excellent, with many choices. It is easy to walk to the main attractions and historic center from the hotel. We would stay again if in Riga!

The hotel is conveniently located 20 min walk from the old city, just in the center of Riga with a lot of restaurants and cafes nearby. The gym in the hotel has stunning view to the city , well equipped and you can access it with your room card at your convenience. Nice European breakfast. The stuff is very well trained, attentive and accomodating,

I recently stayed at this hotel for my birthday, and it was a wonderful experience. We were upgraded to a room with an old town view, which was truly stunning. Additionally, they offered us complimentary spa entrance after checkout, which was a delightful bonus. The room itself was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable, situated on the 19th floor with an amazing view. The spa was also impressive—spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service and amenities.

This is such A convenient location in Riga! One can walk to Old Town and other sites. The service is so very accommodating. Breakfast has the European breads and pastries and Western hot eggs and bacon. Don’t confuse this hotel with the other Radisson hotel which is also on Elizabete street, two blocks away. The other property is much larger and accommodates conventions. This Radisson Blu is smaller and more personal.
