Casajomo Art & Food B&B

This place is a real gem. Dacia and her family took excellent care of us and CasaJOMO was absolutely perfect for 3 days of relaxing. The area is super fun and Dacia had lots of fantastic recommendations. There's plenty to do in Santa Teresa, and it was easy to walk to Rio Centro, but we ended up taking lots of time just enjoying the lovely pool terrace and enjoying the scenery. We had dinner there on our first night and it was fantastic, as were each of the breakfasts. I can't recommend this place highly enough and I hope we'll get to return someday!

We absolutely loved the place. The rooms are very clean, the breakfast is outstanding and the location is perfect. Bars and Restaurants are all in walking distance and it is a 15 minutes walk to the Metro station. Dacia and her mother will do everything to make your stay fantastic.

I would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone coming to Rio. Dacia and her mother are amazing hosts that instantly make you feel extremely welcome and are always open for a warm chat. In the morning they serve an amazing breakfast, which changes everyday and gives you a perfect start of the day. My favorite part is the delicious fruit and vegetable juice which instantly brings you in the rio vibe. The hotel itself is really beautiful, with an outside terrace with pool where the breakfast is also served. The view from the terrace is amazing, both day and night. There is also a patio on the first floor with yoga mats free to use, a hammock and chill space. On the ground floor there are also nice tables in between the beautiful plant garden, where you can relax and cool off in the shade. Another big plus for me is the Santa Teresa neigbourhood. I would recommend any tourist to stay in this neigbourhood, it is the safest and this is really something that makes your vacation in rio feel more relaxed. The best place to stay in Rio, without question!!

Casa Jomo is a true find in Rio de Janeiro. Built in 1930, the architecture alone is worth the visit. The rooms are cozy with comfy beds and much-needed air-conditioning. Plus, the WiFi is reliable—a big plus for travelers. But what really sets Casa Jomo apart is its peaceful pool area where you can spot monkeys and birds while you relax. The daily breakfast is a pleasant surprise, always different and delicious. Dacia, the owner, is a gem herself. Friendly and multilingual, she's full of interesting stories and helpful tips. During Carnival, the hotel's location couldn't be better—right next to best the blocos we experienced in Rio. In short, Casa Jomo offers a perfect blend of comfort, charm, and convenience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Rio, especially during Carnival!

This was by far one of the most relaxing vacations that I’ve done in a while. Casa Jomo is vibrant, relaxing, and refreshing. The best part is the fresh foods prepared for breakfast — all while enjoying a relaxing atmosphere. The owners are extremely kind and thoughtful, I really enjoyed their hospitality. While visiting, I was able to immerse myself in the culture while I learn about Brazil through an on-site cooking class, on-site samba class, and a sailing tour which were all arranged/booked through the owner. In addition, I was able to book a on-site spa day/massage as well as a vibrant photo tour. If you need tips for anything, Day is eager and ready to help. Casa Jomo is the place to go to relax and unwind in a home away from home.

I took my son to Brazil to see Taylor Swift. We stayed at Casa JOMO. I highly recommend this B&B. The villa itself is breathtaking. We felt safe the entire time. The owner Dacia is one of the kindest person I have ever met. She made it a priority that we had everything we needed to not only be comfortable but to have an excellent experience. She got a taxi for us so we could be on time to the concert when all other transportation wasn’t an option! She and her mom made our breakfast from scratch along with fresh squeezed juice. It really was paradise!

After a month long trip to South America, I finally came to the review of this cozy and lovely B&B. The owner Dacia is a wonderful girl who gave us lots of tips for what to do in Rio De Janeiro. We chatted like friends and spent some great time with her, her Mom and two lovely boys. The room is spacious, clean and with all amenities. Breakfast was excellent and was cooked just for us. It was in Santa Teresa, an area with cobblestone streets and many old style buildings. It is quiet and within easy walking distance there are restaurants and bus stops. The tram is also close by. You can walk to see the Escadaria Selaron. We walked at night a few times and feel quite safe. Thank you, Dacia! We will come back as we plan to see the Carnival in 2025.

This place was amazing! The host was really friendly and helpful. She helped me with some great recommendations and the other guests here were so cool. I loved my stay and will definitely book again. Oh! And the bed was realllly comfy 💤

My experience here was everything I could hope for. The views are beautiful, the host is kind and easy to communicate with, and I was always comfortable in the residence. I would definitely book at Casa Jomo again!
