The Grand Hotel Robertson

From the welcome to the departure the service was warm and welcoming. Our rooms were beautifully appointed. Lovely spacious bathrooms with excellent branded products. The linens, pillows and towels were amazing. We had dinner and breakfast and they were both perfectly executed. Delicious and well presented on the plate with the freshest of ingredients. Mandy and her staff hit the right notes of friendliness and professionalism. I will recommend this little gem to all and will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We were in the honeymoon suite, arabella, and the room was incredible, the bed was super comfortable, there’s a fire place in the room, as well as the bathroom, which has a huge bath. The fittings and accompaniments are perfect, modern and you won’t find yourself lacking anything. The kitchen has brilliant food, and the wines that accompany it are unbeatable. The staff are super attentive, especially Paul, he’s brilliant and attentive. Trevor and Mandy, the owners, are so great in terms of hospitality, heart and soul! We were recommended some small boutique wine farms and trips, (those I’ll leave for you to find out) and I can truly say that some of those experiences are so beautiful and unique that if I went back again, I’m sure it wouldn’t be the same. I can not recommend this place enough, it feels like home on every level! Do yourself a favour, if you do go to Robertson, get to the grand Hotel!

This was a once in a lifetime trip! What an incredible hotel – Mandy and Trevor are the absolute greatest!!! Every single detail was extremely well thought out, and the service was excellent. The spa was spectacular, and lounging on the daybeds with a glass of South African rosé will be one of my favorite memories! I will 100% be back!!!

We stayed here to meet with my brother and his wife fa few days to enjoy his birthday. Reception at the hotel was delightful and with a complimentary glass of wine. The rooms are spacious and include most items you could need. We all enjoyed lunches and dinner each evening and on the birthday evening they did provide a special meal which was excellent. As other reviewers have mentioned, all the meals are very good, and the proprietors Mandy and Trevor are very helpful in arranging something special if you require it. Good hotels are scarce in Robertson, so it is wonderful to see, a new venture in Robertson doing very well. We wish them every success and we are sure that they will be rewarded for all the effort put into this substantial venture. These few days have been memorable, the facilities are excellent, the pool and the Spa have been well used, and the ladies in the Spa are excellent at their profession. What is not to like, nothing.

When you travel on the R60 this hotel is a must to stay over. The small town of Robertson has a lot to offer with good food and wine and while you explore, the Grand hotel offers excellent accommodation. The hotel owners are hands on and take interest in their guests. The atmosphere is homely with very friendly staff..The rooms are neat and clean and the food excellent. I will definitely go back.

WOW!!!!! Unfortunately we did not experience the accommodation at the hotel. We had dinner at the most relaxing and super amazing restaurant. The food is just sooooooo amazing. The quality and freshness is in every taste. The staff and owners welcome you as old friends. The menu prices is reasonable and you get so much more than you pay for. Definitely worth every penny. The ambiance is fantastic. As a local I will be going back. The best restaurant in town by far. Thank you to our server Margaret for all the smiles and professional service.,The kitchen staff for their dedication of preparing amazing food and the owners who welcomed us like old friends.
