Hotel am Siebersturm

Room was small / tight which was kind of expected. View is great but carrying luggage up and down the steps is a bit difficult if dealing with a large bag. Towels are not the best and definitely need to be updated, especially for the rate paid due to the DB strike and last minute booking which was double what it normally would have been according to what Travelocity is telling me. Owner was friendly enough.

We had three double rooms booked through booking and have told them one month in advance that we have three kids with us that sleeps in our beds except one that needs an extra bed. They wrote ok. We got a text through booking that check in was from 14-23.59 When we drove to the hotel we got car problem on autobahn. We let the hotel know that we probably wouldn’t be there until almost 12pm. He tells me no. The check in close at 9pm. I referred to the text about check in till midnight put he proposed that was only digital. Well. Can you put keys outside I asked. He tells me no. Sorry. After a few text about the fact that check in time says until 23.59 he aggres but not a minute more then he close. Even when he knows we have kids with us, the room is payed and we have a spare tire on that we can’t drive fast with. So stressed we arrive 11.45pm and he is so rude. Angry about that we have kids with us and haven’t told him (well, you said ok on booking…) Tell us to only whisper and put our children to sleep immediately. He doesn’t let us know about that they don’t have breakfast until we ask. And don’t tell us where we can eat. Just unpleasant and rude. When I leave a bad review on booking he starts to call me like crazy. Several times a day and I don’t answer. I wrote through booking that I want him to stop then he answers that maybe he was a little bit rude but that I come with kids that I haven’t booked for and that he will lose guest of my review. When he already ok the kids and don’t think he didn’t do anything wrong. Unbelievable.
