We stayed one night in this Premier Inn and glad we only booked the one night... 1. We had blood stains on our duvet, which we noticed at 11pm and since we didn't walk down the long corridor & floors to get to reception (as the lift was broken & I have a knee injury) and decided to take the duvet out & sleep on the cover alone (luckily the room was extremely hot) we did not report at time and waited till the morning, so this is not covered by the good night's sleep guarantee! I was given a piece of paper by reception to ring guest relations but struggling to talk to them. 2. The Brewers Fayre next door... Is by far the worst restaurant we have ever been in. It was dirty, inside, sticky tables, ripped wonky chairs and the outside area was so run down, empty drinks lying about tables, broken seats, weeds etc.. We ordered 2 main meals & just before 8pm went to order desserts, we were told the kitchen was closed as the chef had been working all day. We then overheard a waiter asking a couple if they wanted desserts, we stopped to ask him, then another waiter came out saying no more food was being ordered and the couple he had asked would not be getting a dessert, this was at 8pm on a Friday evening. So they were happy to serve us main meals but no desserts, so we could not finish off our meals. 3. Breakfast.. Unfortunately this was also at the Brewers Fayre next door. We walked past the outside area, still covered in the dirty glasses from the night before! There was one young waitress on & she told us just to sit anywhere, that's the only service we got. There was hardly any food on the hot plates, no bread for toast, no one around to ask any questions, it was a total shambles! Other guests were walking around too wondering what was going on. To top it off there was a huge board, clearly for staff in front of all customers, saying Sell, Sell, Sell.. For desserts, sides, upgrades, onion rings, Morretti etc! Whoever is the Manager of this site, needs to be let go, it was the pits!! I will say the reception staff at the Premier Inn were both friendly enough but the cleanliness of the hotel rooms and the restaurant next door were both extremely poor. This has certainly put us off staying at a Premier Inn in the future.
