this is the second time staying at this hotel. both time, receiving the good service. the staff is very friendly and helpful. the room is spacious and clean. the bed is very comfortable. will definitely come back again. Hokke is not a hotel, it is an experience. We've stayed in Hokke Hotel three times since 2015 and we had best experience each of those times. Whether we went with kids or just by ourselves, it is a place that soothes and calms your days. This may not be a place to go if you if you are looking for a fancy, hyper-active and 'happening' place, but Hokke happens differently. This is a place to slow down, sit on the ground and immerse yourself in the Japanese themed minimalist environment. We always enjoyed the grander Lumbini vibes retained by the Hokke hotel. Best thing about Hokke is that it is located inside the greater Lumbini master plan and the World Peace Pagoda is just 10 minutes walk from here. We had a peaceful visit to the pagoda before it got crowded. Core of Lumbini, the Mayadevi temple is around 10 minutes auto-rickshaw ride plus 5 minutes walk. Staffs are friendly and helpful, food is great, and the rooms are super comfortable.

Piccola struttura, a gestione familiare, che si sviluppa intorno ad un cortile interno. Lo staff è stato davvero molto gentile e mi ha fatto sentire a casa. La camera che mi è stata assegnata era pulita e confortevole (considerato il prezzo). La posizione della struttura è su una delle vie principale del piccolo villaggio adiacente al parco di Lumbini, a due passi dall'ingresso numero 5 del parco stesso. In zona sono presenti diversi ristoranti e minimarket (di cui uno annesso alla stessa struttura). Il cortile interno avrebbe bisogno di manutenzione ed, in generale, di essere tenuto meglio. Quando ho soggiornato io c'era una pensilina pericolante ed i tavoli e sedie in cui veniva servita la colazione in brutte condizioni. La zona è un po' invasa dalle zanzare (ma i letti sono provvisti di zanzariera).

Rumbini Buddha garden resort is not only a hotel but also a beautiful garden with lotus pond , surrounded by lawns and forests, I really appreciate staff members of the hotel, they are so kind and sincere, helping me a lot in many ways, ready to offer what you need instantly. The room is clean, spacious and good light with morden facilities like Ac, hot shower, fast WiFi. It has two baconies where you can watch views and relax and dry your clothes. They are very considerate when cleaning rooms, even helped to fold my messy clothes and shoes, and to put back the clothes you dried in the bacony into the room, keeping everything tidy and nice. The food was very delicious too, I asked them to send to my room, they are very patient, packed the food carefully and delivered with the whole set of delicate dishes, glasses, spoon, knife and so on. In the morning you can hear the birds singing and the staff are diligently doing gardening, cleaning, washing. They even bow down to wipe the bricks of the road leading to room buildings in the garden which touches and impresses me. I am really grateful to all those who have served and helped me with warm hospitality and patience. I highly recommend Rumbini Buddha garden. It's a wonderful choice when you you are in Lumbini.

I stayed here for three nights. I think the location is good. In addition, the rooms were clean. The food, including the breakfast, was average or worse. For all the three days, they served almost the same breakfast. Why do I think it was a terrible experience? While some of the staff were hospitable and attentive, many I think were rather cold, insensitive and uncooperative. Let me give an example: during one of these evenings, I wanted some medicines. I called the reception, and I am pretty sure that the staff taking the call knew that I was sick. I asked him if he could get me some medicines to which he responded positively. I waited for almost an hour, but I was told later that it was too late to get medicines. Shockingly, they could not get me the medicines the next morning too. I later googled for the nearest pharmacies, called one of these sellers for the location (which was almost next door) and then sent a hotel staff to get it. I think there was still a degree of reluctance to go out and get the meds. Was this due to say a policy that the hotel staff does not go out? Not sure. But imagine yourself as solo travelers, receiving this kind of treatment? I almost felt I was dealing with robots rather than humans. Let me also bring to light another disaster: they hosted a late-night party at their bar which was adjoining my room. For nearly six hours between 9 pm and 3 am, there was way too much noise for me to be able to sleep. While they did offer me a room change after I complained several times, I was sick and did not feel like packing things to move to another room. What was the hotel response to the issue and how did they try and address/compensate for the issue? Well, they did nothing. In other words, these guys seem to only know 'business' in its crudest sense. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
