"The restaurant terrace is absolutely magnificent. The view from our bungalow's terrace was also stunning. The bungalow itself was spacious enough. We appreciated being able to wash the sand off our feet at the beach, thanks to a tap at the entrance. The breakfast buffet was perfectly adequate. The receptionists were very kind in helping us organize our return to Banda Aceh (taxi and boat), as well as a visit to the old colonial buildings in Sabang. However, we were disappointed, given how highly touted this establishment is as one of the best on the island, for several reasons: the restaurant isn't as good as its reputation suggests, which we think is somewhat exaggerated; the overly obsequious staff seem to have just graduated from hotel school and feel compelled to ask a barrage of questions, some more intrusive than others: where we're from, where we're going... it must be part of their "hospitality" course (?). The lack of air conditioning in the bungalow was the main drawback, which made our stay quite unpleasant; we were happy to leave after only two nights; the beach bar-restaurant, mentioned in some reviews, no longer existed or was under renovation; finally, coming from the Banyak and Iboih islands, the snorkeling seemed quite bland to me."

"You cannot swim as the beach is rocky and full of litter. There is absolutely nothing here in walking distance. Bungalow is modest and clean with nice view. The water is coming in the door in case of heavy rain. Menu is limited to fried rice and noodles. The staff is friendly but they do not speak English so it is hard to order anything."
