Overall: would stay again! Nice hotel, room, bar, food, very convenient location.
LOCATION: Convenient! Right next to DOCO and the Golden 1 Center. Old Sac is a few minutes walk away. Public transport nearby.
HOTEL: The decor was a lovely, sophisticated, modern take on various historical periods. Music is a theme, nodding to the historic past of the building.
Balcony bar - Art Deco. Clean, eye-catching, charming. Emerald velvet chairs and gold-toned metal accents, whimsical 1920’s & ‘30’s music playing overhead, and servers dressed in simple roaring ‘20’s attire. Menu: Small bites. Phyllo baked brie, oysters, ahi poke, short ribs, Asian lettuce wraps, and more.
1st floor restaurant - “7th Street Standard”, is the name. Bright & elegant with simplicity. This restaurant can be a standalone; it’s better than a “hotel restaurant” in food quality, artistry, and presentation. Didn’t eat here this time, but have before. I recall everything being good! Great drinks last time!! Had happy hour drinks this time ($10), still great! Handcrafted, fresh, subtle sweetness for balance, nothing syrupy or fake-colored (reg price $15). Happy hour food and drinks available 3-6pm. Full menu includes trout, salmon, pork belly, and other goodies.
ROOM: I like the decor. The lamps were cool: gold dipped bulbs, bronze-colored cones, retro meets are deco feel. There’s a handy motion-censored light under the bathroom vanity when you don’t want to turn on a bright light at night, light-framed mirror for easy getting ready, spacious bathroom. Views from my particular room were not worth seeing. Good blackout curtains in-room, lots of natural light when open. Bathroom basics included: shampoo, conditioner, lotion soap. Not included: q-tips, cotton balls, etc. The mini fridge could fit some small leftover food boxes. Plenty of outlets near the bed. I don’t recall any food snacks offered for sale. $5 Fiji. Open rack closet, and drawers available. I believe my room was 320 sqft, with enough space to roll out a mat and do a room workout, if that’s your thing (or gym on 4th floor).
AREA OFFERINGS: There’s a Starbucks Reserve steps from the hotel and many places to eat, drink & entertain within easy walking distance (steakhouse, bowling alley, movies, rooftop pool bar, beer vault, and SO much more!). While it’s a nice area (million-dollar condos and attractions next door), another block over in one direction becomes a not-so-nice area (homelessness and refuse), so just be mindful of what direction you’re heading, if that bothers you.
PARKING: There are unattended daily parking lots right next to the hotel ($13-$16ish/10hrs), hourly metered parking, attended hourly/daily lots, valet ($40 seems to get you 2-day parking with in & out privileges; I valeted early evening, pickup needed before 2:45-ish a.m. on the third day). Valet had a very easy texting system. They texted me my valet ticket with a clickable link to call my car when desired. The link let me know the progress of my incoming car (“requested”, “on the way”, “ready”), so I knew exactly when I needed to head out and could enjoy my time until then. You can tip through the link, too.

My husband & I recently stayed overnight to see KISS at the Aftershock Festival at Discovery Park. We were very pleased. The Hotel is clean, modern & bright. Hotel is next to the Freeway but we hardly noticed any noise. The complimentary breakfast was good, something for everyone, fresh fruit, toast, bagels, cereal, eggs, potatoes, sausage, make your own waffle station, juice & coffee. We felt very safe as it is near an industrial area and we noticed a few unhoused individuals nearby. The property is fenced & gated. You must scan your room key at the front door to enter the Hotel at night. They also have a security guard from 6pm-6am. There was a nice looking pool but we didn't get a chance to use it. The only downside was there's no food/restaurants nearby and they do charge for parking, $8.50/night, but that's not bad. They do offer snacks & beverages for purchase in the Lobby and there's always UberEats. Another Hotel is being built nextdoor, so maybe a few food places will be built in the future. We will definitely stay again. Farrah & Lorena at the front desk were awesome. The were very welcoming, friendly and answered all our questions regarding ordering an Uber, parking & breakfast hours.
Daily Mandatory Charge includes: City Tourism Assessment, City Infrastructure Assessment, California Tourism Assessment.

-There was trash outside of the rear entrance of Folsom wing, like a homeless person lived there. -The wing rear entrance door needed to be forced shut to lock. There were serval shoe prints on the outside of the door where people kicking it to close and lock. -There was trash in the parking lot that had been there for days judging by a package of tilapia that had been run over several times and was infested with maggots. -The cable TV in my room did not work. -I asked the front desk for breakfast vouchers because the TV did not work. They said yes, but when I went to get the vouchers in the morning the front desk said no and that there was no manager on duty.

Room is new and large nice cooking touch i wish i can staying longer
PPengguna TetamuThis is a great place for the money to stay close to the Sacramento airport we always stay here when we go to the airport very clean neat and fairly large room
DDANThe room had a strong smell that we had to crack the window and turn on the air for the smell to go away, the place is old, so for the price of $130 a night is ok right? Well..
So I booked this room using trip.com app and because of that the front desk girl required me to pay $250 as a security deposit.. if not I had to leave, so if you add it up, to stay a night at this place in a so so room, I had to charge $129+$250 security deposit +10 parking = so after $390 I could have a night of sleep. I just hope I can get my deposit back as soon as possible.
They said 5 to 7 days.
So just you know before you go!
WWesley AtkinsonThe front desk attendant was very polite. The lobby was very clean and hade a nice aesthetic. So was (and did) my room. I was surprised that they had pump bottles for the shampoo, conditioner and bodywash. A little bummed that they weren't all the same scent though. Other bummers were that the curtains let in too much light. Easy enough to fix by rolling over, or putting a pillow in front of my face. It wasn't THAT bright. And the mini fridge was really loud when trying to cool off. This was also easily fixed. I just turned the thermostat to it's lowest setting. It was silent the rest of the stay. And not a bummer, but the heater is apparently controlled by the wall thermostat that I completely missed. Took longer than I'm willing to admit pressing the off button on the A/C unit.
So all in all, I early enjoyed my stay!
Oh, almost forgot the breakfast! It was your standard continental affair. Eggs (scrambled or hardboiled), sausage patties, toastable breads, griddle, yogurt, juice dispenser. All self serve of course.
I was not able to review the pool. If it was ever open, it wasn't while I was there (I left before 9am and got back after 10pm every day).
PPengguna TetamuI was not expecting the Ritz- it is an old boat. But for the price, this is a definite no. Positive: all the staff were friendly and attentive. We used valet, check in (complimentary “upgrade”) and ate dinner at the restaurant. Matthew was a great server and food was fresh and tasty. Fun drink menu. We didn’t opt to use our “free” breakfast voucher and ate hot breakfast instead. Good service and plenty of food. Negative: there are nice bistro tables on the top deck where normally you can enjoy the sunset… that is until the random street “performers” decide to blare Bob Marley thru a speaker for 5 hours non stop. Not even joking. You will get constantly harassed by “nomads” The room was tiny which was fine, but it wreaked so bad of chemicals it burned our eyes and throat. Left the door open for a bit but it didn’t help, Towels took a layer of skin off they were so scratchy… Bed was terrible. You just sink to the middle. No support. No extra blankets just a very thin duvet cover. Slept like absolute garbage. Ended up leaving after one night even though we paid for another night. Wasn’t worth our sanity. I do not understand how these rooms can be over $200. I like old charm but this was one of the worst places to go for a weekend getaway to relax. There was none of that on the menu.
PPengguna Tanpa NamaBig room. Has full kitchen amenities and dining ware on hand. In need of sprucing up and update, hopefully soon. Have to request for extra toilettries as only one set was provided for multi-guests stay. Bedsheet slightly old and torn.
Has coin-operated laundry facility on-site. Parking is free and breakfast is provided. Just stayed for 2 nights and room did not housekeeping so not sure if service is provided on daily basis.
Location has a lot of shopping options nearby.
PPengguna TetamuThe rooms were very clean as soon as you walk in, accommodations are available upon request so I was able to cook during my stay & felt at home! The customer service provided by Roxette & Richard was lovely. I arrived early and were able to have a room available for me despite check in not being until 3.
