Amazing place to stay! Location in Tzfat is great, place is very clean and homey. Our hosts are friendly, welcoming and very attentive to our needs. Each room is differently decorated and comfortable. I highly recommend the Artist Colony Inn. And I agree with our hosts, Shlomo and Leah, Tzfat and the roads to get there, are safe.

Everything at this beautiful place is comfortable, up to date, clean and pleasent. The manager is helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, a short from historical sites and from the central station. Wish I could have stayed there longer.

WE loved this place other than our phone service was "SOS" only in our room(not their fault) but their internet didn't work in our room which was across from the main building. We we told the internet there was spotty at best. I wish they would in the future set up internet in those 3 room over there. Breakfast was GREAT with GREAT service. 4 out of 5 only because of the internet.

This is a charming hotel in a great location in the picturesque village of Safed. It is a very intimate hotel with only a handful of rooms and a small dining room for breakfast. Our room was beautiful: clean and fresh with everything we needed. The owner, Susan, welcomed us personally and all the staff we met were eager to ensure that we had everything we needed during our stay.

Totally charming bed and breakfast, right in the center of the artists colony. Susan, the owner, gave lots of helpful advice, and even got us to their parking area. Quiet secluded gardens with fresh fruit trees and amazing views looking out over the Kinneret and southern Galilee. The building was built in a different era, resulting in every room being different. But old doesn’t mean old. The Arab style ceililngs and arched windows are a joy to see. The rooms are clean, comfortably appointed with modern furnishings. Nice comfy robes to relax in. Bed was great for sleeping! Hot breakfast was plentiful, quite delish and we were in season to pick the oranges for our breakfast juice. If you are looking for something that is not big, uniform, and utilitarian (think name brand hotels), right in the center of where you want to be, this is the place to stay.

We had three rooms in this small inn, each of which was of good size and well appointed. Ventilation was a bit stuffy, but manageable, and there is A/C for hot weather. The daily clean up was rather limited during our 3 night stay, with towels barely picked up and bath facilities not really tidied up. The rooms were not dirty by any means, and looked very tidy and with charm when we arrived. But for the price, we expected some general tidying up on a daily basis. The breakfast was variable, in part due to some limitations on the use of their usual kitchen. The owner was there the first night when we arrived, but not thereafter - perhaps a reflection of some personal changes which should stabilize. We were anticipating a bit more pleasure in our stay of three nights and using three rooms, than we had.

We had a fantastic stay at the Artist's Colony Inn! The room was suprisingly unique; my two kids (ages 13 and 11) loved sleep upstairs in the loft area, and the whole space was comfortable and cozy. The best part, however, was Susan, who was incredibly friendly, kind and helpful. The homemade breakfast was fantastic, and the place began to feel like a home away from home after our first day. We were on a three week trip to Israel and stayed in six or seven different hotels, and this one stood out. We really loved it and highly recommend it for anyone traveling to safed!

This property was beautiful in every way and the perfect setting to enjoy the mountain views. Breakfast was spectacular. Susan was very attentive and helpful. Our suite was big, romantic and clean.Better book this one if it is available.
