We were there to celebrate our daughter’s engagement. Contacted the hotel weeks prior to make arrangements. My first contact was with the front desk, answered by a man who was not helpful at all. I finally found a name of someone to email, and Rebecca…then later Jenn, were extremely helpful! We arrived too early on Friday to check in and left our number after being told we would be called when our room was ready. Four hours later we came back and were told our room had been ready for 2 hours. Kiel is the person who promised us a call and left for the day without letting anyone know. Enjoyed dinner there that night with Dave as our waiter…amazing server! Met Kaitlyn at the rooftop bar later and also amazing customer service. Also, every single valet we came in contact with was just awesome!!! Our problem was with Kiel…the hotel is under construction and on arrival we approached a make shift checking desk. He was almost unwelcoming, not very helpful, and when asked to email us a receipt of our stay by note (he wasn’t at desk when we left) and with a call later that day, we never received it. We later tried several ways to reach the general manager, and when we called were asked “why we needed to talk to her” and given the third degree. Never heard from her. This hotel, when completed, will be quite lovely…but until something is done about the staff who your guests will come in to contact with initially entering, it will never be the boutique hotel that customers expect. We travel often and leave a lot of reviews…I’ve never left one like this. There’s a saying, “one bad apple spoils the whole bunch”. Welp..there’s a rotten apple on this staff. Because the whole bunch is really great!
