Sowell Hotels la Plage

We had a lovely few days in Sowell la Plage. There is a beautiful beach a few meters from the hotel that is perfect for swimming and has paddle boards available for 15 euro. The roof top pool over looks the beach. The staff were all very friendly ,particularly Mihal in the bar. The hotel has an excellent bus services outside the door that brings you into the town center of St Raphael.

I loved the location and the views. The room we got ended up having a little, equipped kitchenette, big bedroom and beautiful balcony. The pool was really nice too. Great to hangout and take in the incredible views. Did I mention it’s also on the roof top? Staff was friendly and helpful as well.

Just returned from a week at the hotel and would definitely not go back and wouldnt recommend it to anyone. Shame as the potential is there but it misses on so many counts. All Inclusive is limited in that its not available all day - the ONLY Restaurant is shut from 13:00-19:00 and there is no where to get other food from such as a snack bar. The bar closes at 22:00 and only serves beer and wine in the afternoon. The food was average with little imagination and the same thing just rotated on days. Overall the worst All Inclusive i've stayed in. On a positive side i suppose the rooms were nice and air conditioned , the staff on the whole were pleasant and the cleaners were lovely. Local bus stop just outside the front of the hotel means at least its easy to get out of the hotel and go and spend money on decent food and drink in St Raphael or A*** or further afield. Just very disappointed

Good rooms, lovely views and location. Poor all inclusive and awful drinks in bar, served in glasses I used to have at school dinners! It closes at 10pm. Restaurant is closed from 1pm to 7pm, bizarre! Restaurant has no air con, so all doors wide open, baking hot in there, and consequently, there are always flies on the food! One of the group had food poisoning whilst there. Food is not great and a very limited choice. One of our group is Veggie and she could only have potatoes and some of the salad stuff! The croissants were the nicest thing to eat! Some of the staff were lovely and some miserable! Cleaners in the rooms were excellent. This is an honest review. With a few changes the hotel could be so much better.

All inclusive limité Plage de gravier de l’autre côté de la route. Buffet quotidien le même pendant 8 jours. Piscine petite et mal entretenue. Accueil plutôt froid On sent un groupe hôtelier plus sensible à son profit qu’au bien être de ses clients. On est pas dans l’hôtel de la plage?

The hotel room was verry small and dirty. We didn’t have shower gel and when we took shower, the water was everywhere. The water from the shower came also into the room.. We also found hair on the towel and a clip on the chair. During the night, we couldn’t sleep beacause of the sound of the ventilation from the bathroom..All night I heard the ventilation.

1 étoile car on ne peut pas mettre moins!!! Un seul conseil à vous donner, PASSEZ VOTRE CHEMIN ET FUYEZ!!!! Nous avions réservé dans cet « hôtel 4 étoiles » pour sa piscine dite « chauffée »… dépassé le bruit de la machinerie qui est intenable cette dernière est chauffée entre 18 et 20 degrés!!! Une plaisanterie!!! Nous avons réservé une chambre confort avec terrasse et nous nous sommes retrouvés dans une chambre standard avec balcon!!! On nous a gentiment expliqué que les terrasses étaient « réservées » aux habitués!!! La qualité du buffet est pitoyable et de la, on nous explique que le buffet ne fait pas partie de la partie hôtellerie et n’est donc pas considéré comme un 4*!!! Impossible de rester dans cet établissement, nous avons demandé à être remboursés mais comme ns sommes passés par voyage privé, ils battent en touche! Aucune négociation possible! Je passe sur le fait que le responsable a demandé à la société de ménage de ne plus faire notre chambre car nous étions en litige!!! Bref nous n’allons pas en rester là et allons saisir les organismes compétents pour faire en sorte que cet établissement cesse ses pratiques!! Souvenez vous bien de notre réservation car la procédure ne fait que commencer!

Hôtel bien situé, chambres propres spacieuses, literie confortable, personnel agréable et serviable. Seul bémol la qualité de la restauration tant pour les repas que le petit déjeuner hormis les Crudités tout est industriel, les plats cuisinés sont de qualité très médiocre. Après une semaine on en a fait le tour. Pour un 4 étoiles c’est juste à ce niveau là !

Accueil très bien. Chambres confortables, propres. Par contre, restauration pas à la hauteur…buffet chaud pas cuisiné, plats froids très pauvres, réassortiment long…tables pas dressées sur la terrasse. Distributeurs de boissons chaudes pas toujours disponibles (entretien pendant le service) Clients de Sowell depuis longtemps, nous mettrons tous ces problèmes sur le compte du début de saison pas encore rodée. Ayant réservé en juin en famille, nous espérons une nette amélioration…
