Awesome place to hold a party or just go with family or friends. Welcoming, friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, close to the town of Saint Remy and Les Baux. Breakfast was healthy, pool clean and large enough to swim laps. Plenty of parking available

We just returned from a weekend celebrating our birthday at Domaine de Valmouriane and words cannot express how absolutely wonderful it was. Our expectations were exceeded in every way. From the moment we started planning our party a year ago, we were met with a rare combination of warmth and professionalism by all the staff here, especially our main contact Charlene. Everyone went out of their way to accommodate us, and the result was an epic weekend that all our extremely well-traveled guests agree will be remembered forever. If you are looking for a venue for a special party or just a weekend getaway, look no further! It is the most beautiful place with exquisitely maintained gardens, luxurious modern rooms, a great pool and fantastic staff. For our party we had privatised the whole domaine, but we have also stayed here before on a family holiday with our kids, which was equally enchanting in every way. Truly a rare gem!

We loved our four day stay at Domaine de Valmouriane. We had a beautiful room with three windows facing out to the gardens. The bathroom was particularly stunning - a big soaking tub, dual sinks, a rainfall shower. We used the pool twice - it was lovely. Service was top notch. Jean Luc made our daily breakfasts very memorable and the offerings were solid (very reasonably priced too). We had a lunch and dinner at the hotel during our stay and they were delicious meals - some of the best we had during our 10 day trip throughout the South of France. They even made us a late night hamburger when we returned from a long day of winery visits. We felt taken care of and like our money was well spent here! The only things 'missing' for that full resort feel were a spa and slightly more substantive gym - but I know they offered in room massages for a reasonable price (we just didn't get around to taking advantage of that). We'd definitely recommend Domaine de Valmouriane to friends and family.

I went to the domaine last night with family and friends for the wine tasting and diner / barbecue. And it was not worth the price we paid €90/pers. They served can corn with half dead lettuce, the choice of veggies and salade with pitiful. The potatoes were not kept warm. The barbecue was very average. They did not offer a plate of cheese as we were expecting since we are in France. Let’s talk about the desserts. Pana cota with mango purée or with berries , honestly I’m surrounded by chefs and pastry chefs and this was really not tasty. My Nona was Italian so I recognize home made and store bought , this was definitely not home made. Then they offered a brownie that was dry with no presentation what so ever. The 2 girls that were serving us the wine during the tasting were very nice and outgoing. We got to sat down at our table , let me tell you this domaine charges minimum $600 a night and this diner did not meet our expectations. The outdoor dining room was filthy , I was truly unhappy to pay this price for a very poor in quality diner. Then the bill comes and they charge you for an espresso on top of the €90. So this was the very first and last time I will visit this domaine. Last year I went to the domaine de Verchant and it was fabulous so I highly recommend it. I am all about boosting good quality and great service but THIS WAS NOT IT !!! I work hard and don’t get to spoil myself often so I am really unhappy to have spent this much and to end up behind very very disappointed. The best part of my night was the singer and guitare player. They were perfect

Here is what I wish I'd known before booking at this hotel... THE GOOD: - Really, really great staff. Very attentive and friendly. They are the hotel's biggest asset. - Nice common area (but not useable if you don't like the strong room fragrance). - Design of rooms is nice. Nice bathrooms. - The pool is heated and doesn't smell like chemicals. THE BAD: - The hotel and property are fully under construction, and we were given no warning. Should not be open yet. At least 4 large and loud tractor trucks, digging, drilling, electric sanding, construction workers everywhere, piles of construction crap left sitting all over. - Very loud. I expect it won't be done until 2024 or so, since they still need to build a whole new building for a spa and gym, by the pool. - No room service at all (!!!), and not near many restaurants. This was really a pretty big inconvenience. - Pool closures due to construction (or they will open it, but you will be surrounded by noisy construction workers drilling and making a new spa and workout building.) - Severely understaffed. - Many rooms don't have a nice view (parking lot, construction, overlooking another room's 'private' terrace, etc). - All the rooms are smaller than expected (we saw 3 and all were definitely much smaller than the m2 claimed). Great, large bathrooms help make up for it a bit. - The outdoor common areas and breakfast areas are not cleaned properly (or at all?) and look dirty. - Super, super strong chemical perfume smell ("signature scent") throughout the hotel and in all the rooms, that's impossible to air out as it comes in via the vents. It made us sneeze the entire stay, even with the windows open. - The restaurant is quite overpriced for the quality, compared to others (at 5 star hotels) in the area. - No privacy on 'private' terraces. - The bed was uncomfortable, too hard and could feel ridge/gap down the middle and sounded like it was covered in plastic, which was noisy when shifting position at night. - The doors don't latch shut fully unless you slam them hard several times. As you can imagine, we were woken up at night by this, and from one of them constantly slamming due to wind ------------ Suggestions to the owner: - Close until the construction is done, or be honest and give a big discount on rates. - Don't leave junk everywhere. Clean up the construction stuff and try to hide it. - Landscape to hide the parking lot. - Put organic latex mattress topper on beds. - Sweep and clean the breakfast area before people arrive. - To be unique, change from a regular hotel to an eco / sustainable one and focus on wellness. Make a healthy menu, serve detox drinks, offer yoga, etc. Everything organic. Create a food garden, etc. Go after the GOOP crowd.

We have enjoyed so much our stay. All the staff was great! Katherine who received us very warmly and everybody during the dinner. Great restaurant experience! We highly recommend the chocolate dessert…….. Philipe helped us to start the morning very energized with the amazing breakfast and his enjoyable chat.
