Holiday Inn Salem (I-93 at Exit 2)

Jordan at the front desk was professional and courteous. She definitely made me feel welcome. My server Denise in the restaurant certainly went the extra mile and really enhanced my stay. There is a restaurant in the hotel "margaritas" which is very convenient. In addition, Jordan at the front desk made available several recommendations for quality restaurants in the area.

I spent two nights at this location the house keeping was great ..we especially love the attached mexican restaurant, however we were disappointed the outdoor pool was closed.i will recommend this hotel but check first to find out if the outdoor pool is open if this interest you ....just a short distance from canobie lake park

Staff were friendly and check in was fast and easy. Arrived later than planned due to our delayed flight in. The room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Room was a bit stale smelling but we opened the window a bit and let some fresh air in. Plenty of hot water and water pressure is great. Will sized bottles of toiletries too which was nice. Plenty of parking available and it’s easily accessible from the highway. They have a restaurant attached to the hotel which is also convenient. Would definitely stay again if we are ever in the area in the future.

We got 2 rooms on New Years Day so family could get together. Kids did swimming. Adults enjoyed the hot tub . We were so very happy with our stay . Front Desk girl was so pleasant and helpful. I really wish I got her name . Housekeepers were so busy from night before but all made sure to say hello and make sure to let us know if we needed anything. To let them know. Thanks Again great staff and hotel

We stayed at the HI after a long and arduous flight into Boston, Flight was delayed over 2 hours that put my arrival at the hotel 3am...The auditor Patrick was awesome and understanding, we checked into the room and upon entering the spacious room we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room, clean bathroom, comfortable living area with a studio style kitchen, the bedroom was clean warm and inviting, Ate in the restaurant in the morning, Jackie the server was amazing. Food was quick and delicious. I will definitely be back.

Called the front desk the morning of our reservation got told we can check in early got there an hour early thinking we could check in and got told we couldn’t check in, front desk lady was very rude

As the "headquarters" hotel for a destination wedding, this hotel was very convenient. The room was clean when I arrived. I did not stay sufficiently long to receive housekeeping service. There was hot water -- eventually. The breakfast was good, but expensive. I would stay there again if it was convenient to visiting my family.

My stay here was mediocre at best. Upon arriving there was no place to park near check in, only handicapped spaces. Not ideal if you have a lot of luggage. The rooms appeared clean and the beds were comfortable, however, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. When I called the front desk to request some, no one answered. After multiple times of trying I was finally able to get some after I came back from eating dinner. I got it from the front desk and took it up to the room myself. My daughter and I went to use the outdoor pool earlier that day and as we got close to it, we could see that there was green stuff all of the bottom and inside of the pool. It looked disgusting, so we opted not to go for a swim later on we saw a notice at the front desk that they had closed the pool. Before heading up to our room, we grabbed a package of gummy bears and twizzlers which were charged to the room. when I saw the receipt after checking out, I was charged nine dollars a piece!!!! Completely ridiculous!!!! While in the room for the evening we tried watching TV and we’re unable to stream anything by using an app. The next morning, when going to the breakfast Café, we were behind nine people. The hostess sat five adults and four children down for breakfast. Then she came over to me and my daughter, looked at us and said “Ugh, more people? I said “yes, there are only two of us“. We got our own table and waited for 20 minutes without any recognition or service. We decided to find breakfast elsewhere. We went to the front desk to check out, explained to the clerk what had happened and she apologized, but did not rectify, nor did she give me a credit for the breakfast voucher that was paid for and included in my hotel stay. I do not recommend this hotel. You would probably receive better service and quality staying at a lower end facility.

great place to stay if you are going to canobie lake, only 7 min from the park. This was our main reason for staying, well actually the Marriott didn't have any availability. We are now a rewards member and will be staying at other holiday inns. The over all stay was good. The rooms or at least the suit we were in needed a little TLC. Little thing like a hole in the wall from the bathroom door towel hook banging into the wall (poor design) The baseboard in the corners needed some touching up, Stains on the ceilings, all minor things but also all things easily fixed for little money. They would not affect me staying here again, but as someone in the trades things like this stand out. The staff was very friendly on affival and when we requested some bedding for the sleeper sofa again they were very nice. The first morning of our stay we went to the free breakfast (around 8:30). A women came out and said it would be a little while so we took a seat outside of the area. I peaked in and there were tons of seats but we were not in a rush so figured no big deal. After about 15 min another guest came out to get some coffee and said they waited about a 1/2 hr we were and then she sat herself. Another 5 min min or so without being seated we decided to go to IHOP. 50.00 for breakfast is what it ended up costing me and a 10 min trip each way. I guess I could of waited but when we arrived back at the hotel the same women and her family was STILL in the breakfast area. She had 6 total people but it seemed a little excessive. The second morning was a complete 180, we were seated quick, food came quick and just as fast we were on our way. Day 2 I would give it a 8/10. Even though the food was included in our stay we left the kid a good tip. Something was off on day one for sure. The pool and hottub area was nice and clean and they had a maintenance worker there checking chemicals on both days. We went to see the outside pool but it was a little to cold to take a dip. Dinner at the on site restaurant was a 7/10. I ordered a berries and cream margarita (I think that was the name) I tasted zero alcohol, I even asked did the drink have alcohol in it and was told it did. It wasn't a big deal and I wasn't looking to get buzzed but I would stand firm on I just paid 15.00 for a frozen drink with nothing in it. Even had my wife try it that doesn't drink much at all and she said the same. The food came quick and children ate for free. I wasn't overly hungry so took the steak quesadilla back to the room. For the price of about 400.00 for 2 days with breakfast in a suit. I feel it was a fair price. I would say it felt more like a 2 star hotel than a three even though I don't know how they are actually ranked. They beds were average, the bathroom supplies average (dove), again not great or bad just about average
