Hotel berhampiran Passeggiata Lungomare Marconi, Salerno

Let me start by being positive. The location is fantastic! A few minutes from the train station, about 8 min to the ferry terminal to catch the ferry to explore the Amalfi Coast towns. It is on a pedestrian street with lots of shopping, cafes, restaurants and bars. It would get 5* for location. We stayed in the “family suite” for two weeks. You have to let them know when you are checking in because there isn’t a front desk. Someone comes to let you in. The “suite needs to be refurbished as there were curtains that needed to be replaced. The kitchen was sp****ly equipped. No sharp knife or cutting board. No kettle. Backsplash covered in grease marks. The shower head was on the floor of the shower so we had to tie it with dental floss so we could use two hands to shower. No exhaust fan in bathroom. Bathroom next to the kitchen with about a 12” step to get in it. We did not have daily housekeeping. I wasn’t looking for luxury but this certainly wasn’t as advertised.

Personale gentilissimo e professionale, sia alla reception che in sala colazioni. Un particolare grazie ai ragazzi della reception che hanno esaudito le mie richieste. Camera moderna, pulita dove non mancava nulla. Colazione discreta ma croissant e in generale i dolci da migliorare (in Campania ci si aspetta qualcosa di artigianale). Parcheggio un po' piccolo in proporzione alla grandezza dell'hotel ma abbiamo comunque trovato sempre posto nei 3 giorni di permanenza. Hotel nel complesso moderno e ben tenuto. Internamente si nota la cura nei dettagli della hall e non solo. L'hotel si trova a pochi minuti di macchina (o treno) dal centro, che non è raggiungibile a piedi. Nelle immediate vicinanze si trovano invece negozi, ristoranti e bellissime strutture con piscina e spiaggia. Di fronte l'hotel è nella via vicina ci sono palazzi nuovissimi e belli anche da vedere. Siamo stati molto bene. Consigliato. PS: L'hotel ha anche una zona ”residence” (palazzo dietro). Non capisco davvero il motivo di molti voti bassi dati all'hotel e deduco che dipenda da questa struttura residence appunto e non dall'hotel.

The hotel is ok, some weird rules around the pool where you are obligated to wear a cap in order to access it. The safe guard is very persistent on keeping this rule. The restaurant was surprisingly better than expected. It takes about 1.5h to reach amalfi by the car from hotel. Hotel has a parking lot which is def a perk. The rooms were ok and clean.

Value for money. The check in was a little weird. Also the walls are like paper. One can hear everything. Very clean tho.

Such a great stay away from the crowded places. The house is located slightly uphill , with a very nice garden. The host was such a lovely guy that tried to help all our needs. I highly reccomend this place if you have a Car to move around. In less than 10 mins drive you are in the city center or the beach. Thanks Tonio for letting us stay at your lovely house

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in Hotel Raito in vietri sul Mare! The hotel has a great pool, a well maintained garden and a restaurant where we used our breakfast where nothing was missing. Our room had a beautiful view over the Gulf of Salerno, both daytime and nighttime. We were very glad with this service! Beside this service, the staff of the desk, in the restaurant and near the pool were very friendly and willingly help us when we asked for it. We used the penddle bus a couple of times and that was an extra service to go to the city or to the beach of Vietri. We highly recommend this hotel!

Ottima accoglienza, chiara spiegazione delle attività. Locali puliti e ben tenuti. Personale gentile, competente e non invadente. Abbiamo usufruito anche di una trattamento per il viso e abbiamo sentito la differenza. Il relax si è sentito eccome e ce lo siamo portati fino a casa. Plauso alle temperature nei vari ambienti: perfette sempre, aspetto da non sottovalutare. Straconsigliato per l’ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

The hotel is nicely located in the center of town and next to a pharmacy which makes it nice to get around. There are lots of food choices, but just know that most establishments do not serve dinner until 7:00 pm. The front desk staff are very unprofessional and the least helpful people we found in Italy. Beware of the lady with short dark hair as she is not helpful! The fifth floor banquet facility is beautiful but beware of the bees and pigeons that land on your food. The wait staff upstairs are very nice though! The Buffet itself is nice with fresh fruit assorted fruits and pastries. Eggs are runny with lots of milk added which I didn’t care for so much. Breakfast should start at 7:00 am as most tour groups need to be out the door by 7:30. Beware of the shower. Make sure the shower head is pointed downward otherwise you will flood your floor which happened on the first night!! The water view is the selling feature but, our crew were not impressed! My husband works in the hotel business and customer service should be top and foremost! This hotel does not have it!!

We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay here and the place as well was nice in Atrani. It is only a 10 min walk to Amalfi. The rooms were of a decent size and bathrooms weren't too bad either, providing you with the standard shower gels and hair/body washes, along with a hair dryer that was slightly better than the average hairdryers that barely dry. Our first night we had a hiccup - we were asleep and the fire alarm in our room went off! We do not smoke and had no electricals in - we still aren't sure what happened. It went off several times and the hotel staff apologised when we went down to complain. We still are not sure why it went off, and this was not since mentioned by any member of staff - not even a note or acknowledgement about our sleep being disrupted, which we were really disappointed about. Thankfully it was just the one night and it must have been a faulty alarm, however we were disappointed that nobody checked on us the next couple of days of our stay and didn't apologise for the inconvenience. Breakfast buffet had a nice selection of mostly cold foods and some hot items too, and we were able to request our coffee of choosing i.e. cappuccinos. A lovely selection of food to fill yourself on. It took us over an hour to find the place which was very tiring and stressful! Essentially do not follow google maps, When you find the route it is so straightforward. You need to go down to the beach level and you will come across a restaurant with ”Palme” in the name. To the left of there is a small archway with a sign to the hotel - you just follow up the stairs. That is the only place that has the hotel sign posted. The hotel also has a spa with sauna etc however we were told it was an extra 80 euros to access the spa, so we decided against it. Overall, the hotel was nice, decent food, decent room sizes and nice staff.
