We were blown away by the hospitality of the Malawian people, the team at Blue Zebra went above and beyond! We had a truly relaxing holiday. Our greatest “struggle” was figuring out how we could fit all available activities at the lodge into one trip!

Went with a friend and we had a lovely time, we were also so lucky to be upgraded to an amazing cottage by the water which was absolutely fabulous! The staff is so lovely and accommodating and food served is delicious. You get really relaxed on the island and I wish I could have stayed longer, hope to be back again some day!

A wonderful experience in nature all round! Book early to avoid disappointment, as there are only a few tents and cottages on this idyllic, peaceful island. The staff and service were superb, food delicious, experiences were fantastic and mostly included.

We had an excellent experience at Blue Zebra. The staff is well trained and the hospitality at the resort is amazing. The property has maintained high standards of tidiness and systems. We congratulate the entire and team and wish them all the very best.

Just perfect. From communication, transport and reception to rooms, pool, food and service, everything was a delight. Very friendly and adequate staff. Excellent cook. We stayed in Cormorant, a chalet on the calm west side of the island. Beautiful!

We had 3 days on Nankoma, at the end of a month of safaris, to wind down before heading home. The lake was high, from rains to the north, which affected a few things (eg. too dirty to snorkel with the fish or kayak unfortunately ). However we enjoyed 3 lazy days, with a daily walk around and up the Island, far too much food and lots of reading. Special thanks to Abassee (I have probably spelt that wrong), who transferred us from Mvuu Lodge and afterwards took us into Lilongwe. We really appreciated his knowledge of the countryside and answering the myriad of questions we asked! Also thanks to the team at Blue Zebra for looking after us so nicely and facilitating a room change when asked. We did appreciate that.

We had an excellent weekend stay at blue zebra . Food was brilliant for anll courses and staff were so helpful . Beautiful sunsets and lovely accomodation , would reccomend pitta cottage and the walk around the island . Reasonable drinks prices and lots of activities

This is an excellent resort. Set in a lovely island, the place is unique in a lot of ways. Besides being tranquil & set in an incredible lake, it also has this lovely trail that we loved walking around & to the top of the island. I did it 3 times and didn't get bored. The facilities and friendliness are also topclass. They're super professional and I really cannot point to any one aspect of this place I didn't like. Highly recommend you go there, though getting there takes a bit of going (the directions were crystal clear)

Our experience at Blue Zebra on Lake Malawi was simply magical! Taking a boat out onto the tranquil waters to witness the sunset was an experience beyond words. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting its warm hues across the sky, we felt utterly captivated by the beauty of nature. The serenity of the lake, combined with the vibrant colors of the sky, created a scene straight out of a painting. It was a moment of pure bliss and tranquility, one that will be etched in our memories forever. And to top it off, the dinner at the restaurant and a refreshing dip in the pool added an extra layer of enjoyment to our already incredible days at Blue Zebra. This place truly knows how to create unforgettable experiences!
