The bathroom sink took over an hour to drain. Other than that, it was a comfortable stay. I would rate the front desk staff a 5 out of 5. Very friendly.

Camera pulita, non viene però sistemata ogni giorno. I recently spent a week (second week of April) staying at this property and knew when booking it that I had to keep my expectations in check. The location was great for access to the car rental agency, airport and downtown locations I planned my week around. There is a Denny's, McDonalds and a killer good Mexican restaurant all with in a block or two. The property is worn and dated but all common areas are clean and without any musty or overpowering smells. The rooms are surprisingly large and I was quite comfortable with my bedding and pillows. The unfortunate thing was that during my visit they were unable to provide any air conditioning as their system was still set for winter. After returning to my room on the second day and finding it at 85 degrees I had to discuss options with the desk. They were very understanding and were able to move me to a cooler room that I was able to deal with after buying a fan from the local Walmart. I did note that the toilet paper holder was askew and partially pulled from the wall. The metal towel holder had at one time been ripped from the wall and reinstalled without any concern for the resulting sharp edges from the resulting damage. My smoke detector was not mounted to the ceiling but instead resided on the shelf inside the closet. For me these were all little things, excepting for the air conditioning, and inconveniences I could handle. If my wife had been with me the place would not have worked and I felt for those guys that were checking in with their female partners. This is basically one of those places where traveling construction crews utilize (at least during my stay it was). The staff is friendly, accommodating and left working with what they have do deal with the best they can. I almost got what I expected when booking this chain, however I have had excellent past stays at other Comfort Inn locations. Salt Lake City is very easy to maneuver and knowing that now, I would not hesitate to look for a better stay a little further from the central city. Would I stay again? Only by myself and on a tight budget. It was not terrible, unsafe, or dirty and did what I needed - just don't expect too much with the price.

Then you are likely to get a room that has stairs to access, even though they do have rooms with ramp access. Then the rules - oh my word! They will charge you if you have too much garbage. Or if you sweat too much on their sheets (body oil), even though they control your AC with a setback to 73 degrees. Even when you ask them to turn the setback off, it still resets to 73 degrees. Try not to sweat overnight at that temperature. Broken handle on two cabinets, broken supports on two chairs, a recliner that doesn't recline unless you hold it in place the whole time, just a few things that needed repaired. I rated service as average because it was at both extremes, those that were friendly and helpful were VERY good and the others were VERY bad. Hence average. The elevator lobbies were nice and they did let me leave my mobility scooter there (since I couldn't drag it up and down the stairs to my room). As noted in my title - mixed feelings, but I won't be going back to the Kimball any time soon, or ever.

Winter blizzard weather kept us from traveling east so we decided to hole up in a fun town. We found this hotel close to restaurants, the mall & the Clark Planetarium. Rooms were good sized, everything was clean, the sheets were comfortable and the bed was on the firmer side (no sagging ) and comfortable for most types of sleepers. Room had a mini-fridge, (i think a microwave too) a good sized closet and a separate toilet-shower area from the sink. The breakfast area has comfortable seating and a long bar-style peninsula with handy USB ports for charging your electronics as you work. The best thing about the hotel was the staff at the front desk. Lola and the other women I encountered were warm, welcoming and professional. They exemplified a spirit of hospitality that’s missing in other hotels. I commend Hola Hikila for hiring the right people for the job. The only negative is that the guest laundry needs some work. One washer had an out of order sign on it and the other one needs to be cleaned up. The dryers need to have the lint screens replaced. This was the only area I found to be lacking. Thanks for the chocolate chip cookies, too!

Great location, everything else - not so much. They say limited accessibility, but really mean no accessibility. They do have accessible rooms, but check in is not accessible. You need a friend or family member to go up and down the stairs at check in to get checked in. Then you are likely to get a room that has stairs to access, even though they do have rooms with ramp access. Then the rules - oh my word! They will charge you if you have too much garbage. Or if you sweat too much on their sheets (body oil), even though they control your AC with a setback to 73 degrees. Even when you ask them to turn the setback off, it still resets to 73 degrees. Try not to sweat overnight at that temperature. Broken handle on two cabinets, broken supports on two chairs, a recliner that doesn't recline unless you hold it in place the whole time, just a few things that needed repaired. I rated service as average because it was at both extremes, those that were friendly and helpful were VERY good and the others were VERY bad. Hence average. The elevator lobbies were nice and they did let me leave my mobility scooter there (since I couldn't drag it up and down the stairs to my room). As noted in my title - mixed feelings, but I won't be going back to the Kimball any time soon, or ever.

If you're looking for somewhere in the heart of downtown, this is it. For the price you pay, the service is great and the room feels spacious. Beds were comfy! Only down side is how the bathrooms were on the smaller end. But otherwise, no complaints!

The only problems I had were the comforter and the bathroom sink. The comforter had rolled up little stuffing in each square. It was strange and they probably should replace the comforters. The bathroom sink took over an hour to drain. Other than that, it was a comfortable stay. I would rate the front desk staff a 5 out of 5. Very friendly.

Das Zimmer war soweit okay. Die Möbelstücke etwas veraltet. Aber insgesamt war alles befriedigend sauber. Leider hatte ich etwas im Bad liegen lassen. Ich hatte sofort angerufen, dass Sie mir das bitte zurück legen, weil ich gegen Ende meiner Reise erneut ins Hotel komme. Das Reinigungspersonal hat es aber leider an sich genommen, anstatt es an die Rezeption zu geben. Es war verschwunden. Sehr traurig! Der Mann an der Rezeption wirkte auf mich genervt und dadurch unfreundlich.

Not as bad as the other reviews go. One of the cheapest options in the area and it's acceptable to me who's just looking to spend one night for the flight layover. Yes the hotel is dated and doesn't feel clean. Good thing is they offer simple breakfast and there's free shuttle to the airport.
