Bugs in the bathroom. Very noisy. Overcharged for previous stay. I don't know if the deposit was used or not, but I was charged $146 for a one night stay, two people. No parking...unsavory clientele. Beds were comfortable and clean. It was hard to get the TV to work.

Many of the rooms that are ”no smoking” have been smoked it. Seems like that's the clientele this motel attracts. Front desk staff makes excuses, but if you don't get what you booked, go complain and get it straightened out or just don't book here to begin with. This is not worth the money. For a few $$ more you can get a much better hotel room nearby or downtown. The room was clean, but no maid service for any of the days (3) I spent there. Bed mattress a bit worn, 2 top sheets and a very thin blanket on the bed. The first night the AC unit was set to 64F, and changing the temperature didn't change its operation (cooling too much). Unplugging it stopped the freezing cold air, and noise (typical wall AC unit). Plugged it in the next day and set it for a reasonable 75F, and it seemed to work ok. Its right next to the freeway, so its a bit noisy, unless you get a room in the back building. Rooms are remodeled but not being maintained very well. Parking fills up and then there is no nearby parking on the street. Skip this one and choose better.

I recently stayed at Motel 6 on Clairemont Mesa Blvd and was pleasantly surprised by how clean the property was. The room was spotless from top to bottom—fresh linens, a tidy bathroom, and the floors were immaculate. It’s clear that cleanliness is a priority here, and that made my stay much more enjoyable. The location is also quite convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants and the freeway, making it a great option if you're exploring San Diego. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the pet-friendly policy is a nice bonus for travelers with pets. If you're looking for a clean, affordable place to stay in San Diego, I highly recommend Motel 6 Clairemont Mesa Blvd!

This is now my go to place! It's always a pleasure to go there and stay, I'm a regular there and the staff is absolutely amazing, I've gotten to know quite a few of them and there always accomating to my requests! They never bother me while I'm there and any time I've asked the maids for something I needed, they give it to me without hesitation and always a smile! I so appreciate how nice everyone is and the fact that I know them on a first name basis and them as well no me by my first name! Always a chill stay and comfortable! Thank you so much you guys!
