Ulasan Amsterdam Hostel

Just a regular hotsel. Staff members look exhausted and wasn’t welcoming. Not a bad place to stay though.

I chose this youth hostel because it has a kitchen, a great location, and a good price. It's also not far from Chinatown, so I can easily buy Chinese groceries and cook my own meals. The room was decent, but there was some noise from the outdoor air conditioning unit. If you're a light sleeper, you'll definitely need earplugs.

It was a great stay! I enjoyed a lot. All the receptionists very helpful and friendly. Thank a lot!

The location is perfect. The staffs were helpful with late check in. The room has good amenities but heater may not be working as the room was cold at night.

The hygiene and facilities were just okay. The dorm room wasn't well-ventilated and had a strange odor, and the mattress had stains. The only upside was the really good location, very close to Union Square. For this price in downtown San Francisco, you can't really ask for more. There's no dedicated parking, but there are street parking spots right outside, and it's also very close to the cable car route. Plus, the hostel itself organizes some activities if you're interested in joining.

The rooms are great, but your experience really depends on your luck with roommates. If you get a bad one, you'll be furious, but if you get a considerate and polite one, it's a good experience.

7/2 @830am, First day when my check in receptionist very rude and unwelcome feeling. Quite simple maybe rate 1 star only hostel.

Even though I booked a room with a private bathroom, it was still hostel-standard. I had to get the bedding from the front desk and make the bed myself. For check-out, I had to strip the bedding and return it to the front desk to get my deposit back. There's no elevator, so I had to carry my heavy luggage up myself. The room had no table or chairs, many of the bedside USB outlets were broken, and the room heater was faulty and never properly fixed. In short, it's not suitable for families.

The window-side room was a bit cold. You have to pay a $10 deposit at check-in, but the front desk is 24/7, so you can get your deposit back no matter when you check out.

The location is good. The room is not clean enough but it’s okay for us. The light should be brighter. We still hear some noise from outside.
