"Two buildings across the street from the north. The bed room in the north is mainly close to the rails, which is relatively noisy, but the room, bathroom and public space are relatively spacious and tall. Coffee is served all day, and the kitchen of the cooperative youth hostel next door can also be used. The room lacks tables, chairs and hangers. Good location, walking distance to downtown attractions, supermarkets and a mall."

"Lovely place but confusing to find your way around. I arrived after midnight and no porter to show the way. Great breakfast but coffee machine in my room not working!"

"Unexpectedly liked the furnishings of this hotel. Although there is no air conditioning in the room, there is an electric fan, and San Jose is not hot at night. Although the room is not big, it has everything. Although bottled water is not free, there is a coffee machine to make free coffee. The room needs to take the stairs on the 2nd floor. Breakfast is simple and delicious, with bread, eggs, rice, fruit, coffee, tea, and hot milk."

"If you're looking to explore San Jose, or have a basecamp for exploring the rest of Costa Rica, this hotel offers a great central location, situated right in the middle of San José. Good for walking to restaurants or shops in the city, or joining one of the several sight-seeing excursions which can be easily arranged by the hotel. The rooms are nice, though the decor is a bit dated. The common areas are also well designed for lounging while reading a book or getting to know your fellow travelers staying on the same floor. The breakfast buffet was fairly common for a hotel offering breakfast in Costa Rica, but good, and the area also doubles as a bar at night. Other amenities include a gym with free weights and a couple machines, along with two saunas, one dry and one steam."

"Book only one night needed to be closed to the airport prior to leaving Costa Rica. I arrived too early to check in so I left my backpack in the storage and went sightseeing. Rooms were cleaned however my issues was with the cleanliness of the bathrooms I wish they were cleaner . Shower’s didn’t have any hooks or shelves and I didn’t have anywhere to but my stuff other then the floor. I found a very cockroach in the shower which was also gross. Bathrooms could definitely be cleaner and furniture could be less broken done. Definitely more on the budget friendly side."

"The location is good, breakfast is average, the surrounding transportation is convenient, it is far from the airport, the lobby is large, it is close to the entertainment city, there are convenient restaurants nearby, there is a large supermarket, shopping is very convenient."

"Place is about half an hour taxi ride from the airport. We originally booked it since the listing here said check in was 1400, but were later emailed that check-in was actually 1500 and when we arrived at 1500, the host said they aren't finished cleaning it and we had to wait in the lobby. The room was nice, although we didn't find the bathroom to be entirely clean. Included breakfast only consisted of coffee, fruit bowl and toast with jams."

"The hotel in the photos looks better than it actually is. Our room did not have any windows and you can hear everything from the hallway and the other rooms. The breakfast can be greatly improved. At the price-quality level, it recovers a little since it doesn't cost that much."
