Hotel berhampiran LED MANIA, San Jose

Из плюсов в отеле- персонал на ресепшн и большие номера. Завтраки очень скудные. И да, могли бы хоть одну маленькую бутылку воды в номер поставить бесплатно, а то 3 доллара за маленькую это уж слишком!

Waktu sarapan adalah sangat singkat dan berakhir pada jam 9:00; bilik adalah suite, sesuai untuk perjalanan perniagaan keluarga atau berbilang orang, tetapi terdapat banyak nyamuk di dalamnya; hotel ini tidak mempunyai lif, dan ia menyedihkan jika anda mempunyai bagasi.

I really loved my stay at Posada el Quijote. It was my final night in Costa Rica before catching my flight back home and it was a brilliant place to relax and rest before the long journey. Fernando was really helpful and friendly, as was the other gentleman on reception in the evening. The pool has a brilliant view of San José, and being that bit higher up, there was a lovely breeze so it was a nice temperature for sunbathing. It was a 12 minute walk to a Fresh Market when I wanted to pop out for lunch and get supplies. The breakfast included had a range of options including gluten-free pancakes! There's a lovely dog called Perla on-site as well as seven cats. It felt like a nice homely place to stay. The pool could do with a little bit of TLC, as it needed a bit of fixing and cleaning in places, but it did the job for me as a final place to stay in Costa Rica.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The amenities, the service, the price, the food, the views, entertainment, everything will make you feel like royalty! You are met in the lobby with a warm smile & greeting from Alexander Bell boy and checked -in by Margoth. In the lounge you are personally greeted by Ronald day serve and Miguel Angel(night serve) who were very personable. Breakfast was deliciously prepared by Gaudy the cook. Even the housekeeper makes the toilet tissue decorative. Ezequiel, the concierge, was very helpful and all of the staff seemed to never forget a face or name. I must say.. I really enjoyed my stay at the Sheraton.

The staff was super friendly! Liliana was the first one that I met at the airport to guide me for the shuttle to the hotel. Luis was the driver that gave me a really good welcome! Really good to have the shuttle included, nice staff & breakfast available.

PROS: Very clean, air conditioned and modern for a good rate. Wifi and decent breakfast included. The stromanthe triostar plants in the lobby were very nice. CONS: Staff is miserable and takes no accountability for customer service. Stephanie literally lies to your face and tries to overcharge you. Examples: -”oh your safe is broken? just reset with code 123456.” nope. the safe code was set by a previous guest and left open so this didn't fix the problem. We had to take all our valuables on a 13 hour tour because of this - very inconvenient. -”oh, you need another towel because we only gave you 2 despite 3 people in the room? we'll send someone up right away”. no one ever shows. when you call back, if they ever pick up, they say the same thing. -”your shuttle from the airport is confirmed and the driver will have a sign with your name on it” nope; after a long trip we had no one to pick us up. The driver didn't have my booking (he had another name on the sign), so he called the hotel and they confirmed nothing had been booked for us. -”well there's no booking because you obviously have to book it in advance; how would we know you need a shuttle?”. Excuse me? Yes, in fact, I did book it in advance and showed them the email chain (7 emails) with her own confirmation 3 days earlier! -”ok so you found the driver, perfect”. No, not perfect as we've been searching in the sweltering heat, walking up and down through the crowds for 45 minutes with a small child after a long trip. An apology, not a dismissal would be more appropriate in this situation. After speaking to the driver and Stephanie (we are still in the heat outside the airport), Stephanie who confirmed the booking by email then blamed her colleague who in fact didn't book it, And, they still charged us $16 USD for it - which was like rubbing salt in the wound. -”it will be an additional $20 USD for the shuttle” - when they previous told me $16 USD (thankfully in writing) -”it will be $16 USD to have a child in the room” - when my confirmation clearly shows children stay free (thankfully in writing) -guests aren't ”allowed to use the stairs”; long wait for the elevator

We were prepared when booking this hotel from existing reviews by others. What happened turns out disappointing. The room on 2000 series on second floor seems an old unit, no shower floor towel, bath tub a bit old but functional, no fridge and so on. We were prepared for all that considering the price and location. At bed time, we found two bugs on bed linen but dusted them off. It's tropical atmosphere, what one expect! The next morning after breakfast, however, I found a few more on my bed. I pulled out a one of my credit card and killed a few. When pulled up my bed cover further, more showed up ...... See the bug in the video clip. I called front desk who sent a room services personnel to look at it. The personnel seems surprised to see the bugs as well. The front desk lady was nice and quick to act and changed my room to the room on 6000 series and okay with us. I requested to talk to their manager. Once back in late afternoon that day, I approached frondesk rep who went to backroom to fetch for the manager. The manager showed up in a while and apologized lightly, and started to push back by saying it's tropical weather here,bugs are normal, and many more. I told him that the room is infested too bad and need a thoughrou cleaning to eradicate the infestation. The manage then went on to explaining the same. I feel disappointed. For this hotel, I do not recommend this hotel until they do a good job. Or if you do like us, not exactly though, do make sure to ask the right question to avoid such a room. Good luck next time.
