Hotel berhampiran La cascada del Río Chico, San Pedro De Los Milagros

I stayed 7 nights. Starting positive. Rooms are very spacious, nicely equipped and clean. Most of the receptionists are welcoming, attentive and helpful. They fulfilled all my requests, including waving a (50% daily!) rate for a 4 hours late checkout. The chef is very talented: I can vouch for his pizza and dessert. Now, for the problematic aspects: location, noise, breakfast, and inconvenience. Location - I picked this hotel for personal reasons, aware of this disadvantage. The hotel is located a 15 minutes walk from, in one direction - the nearest metro station, and in the opposite direction - carrera 70 (center of life in Laureles). Noise - there is a wide atrium from bottom to top of the building; its fourth side isn't a wall, but a net/screen;all the staircase side facing the street is just open shutters. Result: all street and sky noises are LOUDLY heard all the time, including at the back side (where I requested a quiet room). The windows aren't noise-isolated. neither are the doors. Breakfast - A) service is unbelievingly slow. I once waited 40 minutes for my eggs and hot drinks. Reason: there are only two (nice but forgetful) waitresses. B) guests need to ask again and again for re-supplies at the buffet..... C) .....which is VERY basic and unvarying. There is a for-pay menu of additionals. Uncomfortable bed environment - A) Night tables are 50 cms from the bed, and unmovable. B) No USB sockets. There's an elec socket on only one side of the bed, 1.5 mtrs away. Result: no cellular recharge possible while lying in bed. C) No master switch for room lights near the bed. PS - in order to open the windows, one has to climb on a chair. Taken with the open-noisy structure of the building, it really seems as if human comfort was deliberately ignored in internal design.

Tuvimos una experiencia llena de circunstancias desafortunadas, se fue la energía y no tenían planta. No tuvimos aire acondicionado en la noche, los trabajadores de la construcción comenzaron a las 6 am a hacer ruido. La piscina estaba absolutamente sucia y llena de lama verde, no pudimos disfrutarla. La música estuvo intermitente todo el día. Todo el día manifestamos nuestra inconformidad con las diferentes situaciones en recepción, cómo nos quedábamos dos noches queríamos irnos pero no fue una opción. No recibimos ningún descuento, ni ninguna contraprestación por todas las afectaciones que se nos presentaron. Un huésped inconforme es fácil de llevar desde que haya disposición y respuesta, pero en este caso no recibimos ninguna respuesta positiva. En general con los huéspedes que tuvimos contacto había demasiada inconformidad. El lugar es hermoso, pero el precio no se compensa con la experiencia que recibimos ni tienen una respuesta oportuna a los imprevistos que se presentan
