A cute hotel, I only stayed there for a night. Checked in late at night and checked out early morning. The staffs there were nice.

Booked a two queen bed room. Comfy bed. Good hot shower. Overall pleasant stay for overnight stop in San Simeon.

The Morgan Hotel is a comfortable hotel, perfectly situated for visitors to the Hearst Castle. The room and bathroom were clean, bed was comfortable, and amenities adequate for an overnight stay. The breakfast was basic but appropriate for the price.

Located next to Highway 1, with convenient transportation, the hotel is a bit old, and next to the Pacific Ocean, you can watch the sunrise and go fishing. There are check-in attractions nearby, such as Walrus Beach and Hearst Castle.

It is indeed very convenient to book a hotel on Ctrip, but it is also very troublesome to cancel the reservation if there is an emergency. In other words, if you encounter an emergency, there is no way to cancel the reservation. The original plan was to drive 2 hours from Monterey to San Simeon on Highway 1. As a result, sea fog started to rise at 2 pm on Carmel by the Sea, so we hurried to get on the road. We had already passed Big Sur, but we found that the road was closed, so we turned back to Monterey. There was fog all the way. Visibility was very low, and it was sunset, and the sky suddenly became dark. We were worried about driving safety, so we kept contacting Ctrip to cancel the hotel and change to a nearby forest hotel. Ctrip said that it would give me a reply whether it could be refunded at 21:50 at the latest on the same day. When we saw that there was no definite news, we changed to Highway 68 and took Highway 101. It took 5 or 6 hours to get to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, it was already time. We were very tired. The experience was extremely poor. Ctrip's information is relatively lagging, and it cannot solve problems for customers in time. This is an area that we hope to improve.

The hotel we stayed at on the second day of our 3-day trip on Highway 1 is about 10 minutes away from Hearst Castle and Elephant Seal Beach. The hotel is two-story and there is no elevator, so it is a bit difficult to carry luggage, but the front desk will ask you in advance which floor you want to stay. Dinner was at the Mexican restaurant in the middle of the hotel. The dishes were large and tasted good. The hotel provides breakfast, which is basically everything, including fruit, yogurt, coffee, bread, and boiled eggs, which is pretty good.
