Universal Hotel Aquamarin

AMAZING - could not recommend more if I tried! This hotel and area gets 10/10. The hotel itself is gorgeous, the interior fits the area and vibe. The rooms are great, nice beds (and I am a fussy sleeper! Mattresses are on the harder side, you get two pillows where one is memory foam, and you also get a proper duvet). Bathrooms are great and have fabulous showers (I was in both standard and superior rooms). If possible, book a room with sea view just because it is mind-blowingly beautiful. But I also stayed in a mountain view room, and you get the sunrise over the mountains, which was a pretty good second best. STAFF: Cannot express enough gratitude for every single person we've been lucky enough to meet. Everyone is so incredibly kind, funny, attentive, sweet and professional. Can’t fault the service mindedness. Thank you for looking after us like this! HOTEL AMENITIES: The hotel has a gorgeous sea view spa with steam room, aromatherapy shower, pool, sauna, sun terrace, massages, and other treatments. Super clean, always someone there to look after the place (and maybe even bring you an ice water). There's a gym in next to the spa, also with sea view. It is not huge but has everything you need. And if you just avoid pre-mealtimes, it’s quiet. The hotel also does excursions, so enquire about that! Wifi worked seamlessly. Also, special shoutout to the hotel’s offerings around recycling and their filtered water filling stations, which saved the World plastic and me money. Great initiative! BREAKFAST: I am very fussy when it comes to hotel breakfasts. I like my fresh juices (the properly squeezed kinds, not the foamy blended-with-water kinds), fresh fruit (none of that mushy or tasteless stuff), great produce and varied stuff. Here, it exceeded my expectations. There was FRESH juices, FRESH fruit, and there were new items on the buffet daily, which kept it from getting boring. There's also a menu that you can order from. You won't go hungry! Either as vegan, vegetarian or all-consuming. BEACHES: You have direct access to two beaches from the hotel. You have a bigger one to the right, and a smaller one to the left. They're both amazing and I recommend you spend time on both to see if one takes your fancy more. AREA: Sant Elm is a gorgeous little area of Mallorca. It has everything you need and more. Personally, I think it's the perfect holiday spot. There's a load of fabulous restaurants to choose from (personal favourites: La Casita Del Mar (!!), Cala Conills, Sa Calma, Arasa), and the hotel for breakfast and sundowners in the outside bar area. There's a great little pharmacy, and different "kiosks" - one especially worth a mention, Vell Marí Supermercado, which has a load of exclusive items and lots of organic options as well. There are also great clothes shops, and I personally bought a few dresses from Itsy Ibiza. You will also find great hikes around the area that you can access on foot from the hotel. It's worth going for a walk in both

This was our first visit to the hotel (but not the area ) but was impressed with the refurbishment .. A lovely room (4th floor ) and with views to die for .. waking up with the view is like no other .. absolutely stunning ! Very comfy bed and lovely shower in room - nice and roomy and separate toilet with a wonderful balcony to watch the sunset as well Main areas were lovely and spacious and very clean.. the breakfast though was somewhat of a disappointment .. coffee from the machine was barely drinkable .. asked for a cappuccino as had a lovely coffee machine but had to pay extra .. hot breakfast buffet just ok .. staff not forthcoming offering omelettes etc and no menus on table Reception staff were helpful and would recommend booking the sun beds as soon as you arrive as they get v booked up.. also not sure about paying E20 pp each day for sunbed if you staying at hotel - I know it’s a public beach but still.. would a wristband not suffice to acknowledge you are staying at hotel ? Overall a pleasant stay in the most beautiful location- the choice of restaurants 5 minutes walk away are also excellent as well and would recommend

Lovely hotel in a fabulous location. Staff very helpful and accommodating...nothing is too much trouble. Our room was well appointed with views over the bay. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the selection was varied and you could also order from the breakfast menu for further items freshly cooked.

We loved our stay at Universal, Aqua Marine, wish we had more time here! such a stunning hotel with all the amenities. They have truly thought of everything! The staff are beautiful so friendly. The view is spectacular. The food is on point, could not recommend this hotel more highly! Thank you for a beautiful stay we will be back all they way from Australia

Had the best experiences at Universal Hotel Aquamarin! The hotel is so beautiful and the view is just perfect. Everything you need is there, from the amazing dining experience and view, crystal clear beach, spa, pool & sauna and to top it of service was fantastic especially from Sergio 👏🏼 Can’t wait to post all about it on my travel page @megistraveljournal

This hotel is an ecxellent place to spend your autumn holidays. Here some remarks: really friendly staff (e.g. Ismael at the larg breakfast buffet, Sergio at the sunbed service), tasty and very varie food, fashionably equipped room, stunning view over the sea (during breakfast). Some points to improve: less expensive sunbeds, car parking for free at the main parking area, a better Wifi connection, a bit more vegetables (cucumbers, ….) at the breakfast buffet. But overall a great experience and a lovely hotel and village to visit again.

Can’t say enough about this place…everything was fabulous (staff, room comfort and cleanliness, amenities, food, etc). I love that it is just far enough away from the “city” life of Palma but close enough if you feel the need. And the beach area and view from our room was 😍! I wouldn’t hesitate to go back and stay.

Room was clean and tidy, massive tv with YouTube and Netflix, beds were very comfortable, would have liked tea making facilities, and only 2 coffee pods were given. Sun beds on the patio a little expensive (18 euro a day) but two lovely beaches either side of hotel. All the staff were brilliant and helpful, always smiling and and nothing too much trouble. The resort itself is breathtaking, plenty of eateries and shops, and some lovely walks. All in all a very pleasant experience, would gladly visit again.

We stayed in the penthouse suite for a week- absolutely incredible. We were treated like royalty, I cannot say enough good things about this place and staff. Pablo, the general manager, personally greeted us and checked in every day to make sure everything was perfect. Catia at reception is very friendly, always ready to help with anything (and fluent in 5 languages!). The suite is lovely and the large terrace views are stunning. Property is gorgeous and spotless. Sunbeds are very comfy and Sergio took exceptionally great care of us. He always went above & beyond and is one of the best servers we have ever come across. Breakfast buffet was wonderful and Ismael is very pleasant. There is the best freshly ground coffee/cappuccino machine. The meals and drinks are fantastic, and the outdoor seating in the restaurant is beautiful- great to watch the sunsets and live entertainment. The beach sand is soft and the water is clear blue, excellent for swimming. There are the cutest shops and restaurants to check out within walking distance. We will definitely be returning!
