Insotel Club Tarida Playa

Just returned from a wonderful stay at this hotel. Was pleasantly surprised at how lovely it was. We stayed in one of the beach view apartments so only a few steps away from the gorgeous bay beach. Had read reviews that the stairs were tricky to navigate in the dark but there was outside lighting & the steps were fine for us & 2 small children. The bar staff were great. Lots of drinks options. Our girls were also thrilled with the slushy machine. Me & my husband loved the food and a different selection every night. We always found something yummy to eat. Our picky eater children struggled a little though with options. What we thought were chicken nuggets one evening were actually battered artichokes. The only time we came across chicken nuggets was during breakfast on our last day which seemed very bizarre, lol. The pool was very cold as said in other reviews but once you were in it was fine(ish) & our kids were in it every afternoon so they weren't too bothered by it. We took a taxi one day to San antonio which the reception ordered for us. It took 2 minutes to arrive & took about 20 minutes to get to San antonio & cost just under 20 euros each way. Great big shop up the road if you turn left out of the hotel. We enjoyed some of the evening entertainment & our girls liked a few visits to the kids club. All in all a great stay!

We stayed for a week in June 2024 and prior to going I read really mixed reviews and I now understand why. The hotel is nice, the rooms spacious and clean. The food was really good. The pool area was not crowded so getting a bed wasn’t an issue and the beach nearby was really beautiful especially at night. However there are bad points too, the beds are really hard. The glasses in the buffet are tiny so you literally are having a few mouthfuls of a drink before getting refills. The entertainment is poor and the area where it’s held is desperate for refurbishment it’s literally rows of pulldown seats in front of a bare stage I think I saw a maximum of 10 people watching. The kids entertainment is very basic and no real effort was made to involve the children in anything. I found some of the staff quite rude(most were nice) but the lady who checked us in was very abrupt and really got our holiday off to a bad start! The checkin is at 3pm which is so late especially when you arrive at 9am. Is you have any mobility issues at all I wouldn’t recommend it as it really is very hilly and there are steps everywhere even in some corridors. The location is also very isolated with a few shops within walking distance but again up very steep hills not great for kids or pushchairs! I think if I hadn’t been to hotels which were so good for family’s I may have thought that this hotel was great if you have kids but I really don’t think it is, it’s a shame as it could be so much better. Just to add as-well that we found on occasions our balcony doors were left open by the cleaners we even had our front door left open the one day I’m sure it’s just mistakes but it could have been a bad outcome (you need to pay for the safe by card) ensure your valuables are locked away. Overall if you are due to visit I am sure you will have a great holiday as it isn’t a bad place to stay but for me personally as someone with young children I won’t be returning.

Warm friendly helpful welcome very clean comfortable hotel good food amazing staff all so friendly and helpful would definitely recommend for a family holiday in the sun room very spacious and quiet ideal location for a family holiday and relaxation

We spent a week here at the beginning of the month. Myself, my husband our little boy who is 2 and my in laws. We had booked a family apartment and a studio apartment. Arriving at reception we were told my in laws had been “upgraded” to a family apartment to be closer to us. The family apartments are located in the original hotel annex building which is across the road from the newer hotel building. I’m afraid to say the annex is quite tired looking and the accessibility with prams and luggage is zero!! There is no lift, at least 2 flights of stairs with heavy suitcases, a pram and a toddler! Not ideal!! Not to mention to get into the annex building you have to navigate down 2 flights of stairs to begin with! We mentioned this at reception and were told there’s nothing they could do regarding the accessibility and couldn’t move us as they were fully booked. I will mention here that the guy on reception is quite rude and not friendly in the slightest! My husband had a rental car key snatched out of his hand by this “gentleman” who clearly didn’t want to be there! Onto the positives.. the food here is very good! The buffet is small in comparison to other larger hotels we’ve been too, meaning there is less to choose from. But everything we tried was very nice especially during lunch and dinner. Breakfast needs improving! It was regularly cold on most days and the choice was minimal. Go for the fresh stuff would be my advice!! Fresh eggs and omelets made to order were much better than the stuff laid out! There were always beds around the pool, the pool area is kept clean and we enjoyed being there. The pool is cold!! But on a hot day it warmed up quickly. The beach is great, I recommend going right to the far end of the beach you can walk straight into the water here (no dips, good for kids) The entertainment was good, we enjoyed the Superchiks and the rock band guys (sorry can’t remember their name) drinks are good and the snack bars both pool and beach were great too! I’d definitely think again about booking here if you have small children with prams as the accessibility is awful. All in all it was a nice hotel in the middle of nowhere, not much around outside of the hotel so it’s very remote. If you walk out of the hotel and turn right up the hill is a small supermarket, if you turn left and walk up another steep hill there is a large store which sells little Niknaks and souvenirs.

We loved this hotel. Perfect for young families and couples who want a relaxing holiday. It was lovely to never have to queue or worry about not being able to find a table / lounger. We stayed during half term so had expected it to be busier but with a beautiful beach on the doorstep a lot of people also spent their time there. Staff were excellent, very professional and polite. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Cleaned to a high standard daily. Food was tasty and drinks choice excellent. Entertainment team were great and the shows in the evening brilliant. Our children enjoyed the kids club and mini disco. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and have already looked to return.

The rooms were very spacious and really clean.beds comfortable. We requested a top floor but we did not get it. So was spoilt with family above making noise not the hotels fault.The hotel got very busy towards the end of holiday. Round the pool and bar ect.

We really enjoyed our short break. The site is amazing not far from the beach. Walking distance. It’s a nice and clean and quiet area. Modern. Staff is good Ideal for family and suitable for wheel chair and pushchair. We lived the bar area. Food is ok

Great Hotel directly at the beach of the Cala Tarida. Our room was in the annex with a beautiful view of the ocean. Rooms were clean and comfy for Spanish standards. The buffet restaurant had a good selection. The staff were courteous and friendly.

Staff were excellent, Jessica was exceptional. Everywhere in the hotel was clean and comfortable, the pool and bar area were great and the nearby beach was superb. We had a fantastic sea view from our balcony and our room was clean and comfortable.
