El hotel nos ha encantado. Tiene una cama grande. Cocina con electrodomésticos. pero lo mejor el jacuzzi q es muy grande.la piscina está también muy bien . El desayuno fueron 10€ a parte, y me pareció que estaba bien. En general Recomendable. Lo único q no nos gustó es que se nos quedó una bolsa con ropa y en vez de llamar a avisar la sacaron de la bolsa y no hubo forma de recuperar todo el contenido xq ya estaba mezclado con otras cosas

Excellent place to stay. The staff is pretty nice and is a nice and cheap place to stay. I love the experience. Rooms are tidy , clean and safe. I could make a lot of Friends here, they speak English and Spanish and you can feel like home in this place 🥰

My Mum and I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton for 4 nights as part of her birthday celebration and it was perfect! The rooms are so comfortable and the bedding is sublime! The team who work there are so fantastic - nothing is too much trouble and ever so helpful. There are beautiful towels by the pool which don’t slip down and you get two as standard so not everything is wet when you get out! There is even suncream at the pool so you don’t have to bring your own! Wifi is brilliant throughout the hotel. Cocktails are beautiful, about 17-18 euros each but worth every penny! Absolutely delicious. My only criticism was the lack of food choices in the hotel by the pool - not a huge amount to choose from, very fish based (I don’t eat fish) and the service was a little slow for drinks but that could be the time of year. But there was fabulous popcorn cones and fruit kebabs which were shared in the morning which was great. When planning you’re trip, just be aware that there is nothing around without a taxi from this hotel - there’s some lovely local places nearby but you will need to get in a taxi. The beach area is incredibly well set up - the little train takes you there, there’s a full bar and restaurant, toilets, suncream and sun loungers. Overall it was a brilliant stay and would recommend the hotel for sure - would be even better once the refurbishments are done and there are a few more pools and the restaurant with a view is open again! Overall nice hotel, friendly staff and spectacular views. We stayed all inclusive which is a little confusing at first. You have the choice of only 1 restaurant for breakfast and evening free of charge, there is a alacarte Italian restaurant available with 20% discount to all inclusive guests in the evenings. Lunch you can dine at restaurant or pool bar which has snacks including, pizza, burgers, chicken nuggets, chips, toasties, salads (all included with all inclusive). Evening food did change each night with chocolate fountain on 1 night of stay. Some cocktails included with all inclusive but not all, same goes with spirits and liqueurs only local spirits included. All soft drinks ie, Coke, Fanta, Sprite, fruit juice (not fresh) included with all inclusive. There is ice cream pots available from pool bar included but branded ice creams you still need to pay. Location wise, spectacular views just slightly remote for those wanting lively atmosphere. Shuttle bus very reliable and free to take you into town. There is a nice shopping centre over the road but will cost around €10 to get to due to road layout. It’s the same to get back from centre of town in taxi also. Lots of bars and restaurants in Puerto de la Cruz. Towels are available to hire with a refundable deposit for the pool if tokens returned at end of stay. Gardens around pool area are immaculate however the Pool doesn’t allow inflatables which didn’t please my kids, you can however take an inflatable ball. It was easy to get a sun bed no need to reserve beds and we were a group of 9 and we all got a bed easily. Room layout we had a sea view suite which had a lounge which they converted sofa to a single and placed another single in for 2nd child, seperate bedroom with very large bed, large bathroom with whirlpool bath. Aircon only worked in bedroom, lounge was broken, same was the case for other rooms booked which wasn’t great. Our room was 320 and view was amazing. Will say the pool had very sharp surroundings believe it’s to stop slipping over but not the most comfortable to sit on the edge of the pool. They have a larger adults only pool for over 14 year olds which is the one with the large waterfall.

If you're a wheelchair user, please make sure to let the hotel know with plenty of notice. I use a wheelchair that doesn't fold and I couldn't get into my room without taking the wheels off as there's a wardrobe immediately as you enter the room. Fortunately, I am able to walk and only use my chair for longer distances.l, but for others, this could be a real issue. We stayed in that room for one night and they were happy enough to swap me into a different room in the morning. That first night was awful. There were concerning dips in the floor and the noise from being next to the ocean was so loud, plus the wind rattles the windows, it sounded like I was lost at sea. The receptionist was lovely and upgraded us to a family room, no issues, though I hope for the sake of others that there are double rooms available that are more accessible, not just family rooms. The family room was luckily on the other side, so it was totally silent. The breakfasts were quite stale and the milk for the cereal was warm so stuck with the crepes every morning. We did have dinner here one evening but unfortunately, when I got to the dessert stand, there was a cockroach crawling on the food. They were very apologetic and gave both of us a glass of wine as an apology, but then still had to pay full price on the meals. Fortunately, we did bring an extension cord as there weren't many sockets and not all of them even worked. There were no ceiling lights, just plug in lamps, which made it quite dim at night. The pool is barely heated but it takes a few seconds for your body to acclimatise. The mattress is quite firm and I found the pillows were far too high. Also beware that the hotel is on a VERY steep hill. Luckily, I can actually walk quite well in hot weather but I was definitely out of breath when I got from the bottom of the hill to the hotel. The WiFi is awful and I ended up just using my data. The zoo is well worth visiting though and it's a very short distance away. As you come into the hotel, it's got a huge lovely lobby which was lovely to sit in, so it really surprised me how poor everything else was. I have no ill intentions and the staff were lovely but I have to be honest.

Super hotel, trip.com had niet de juiste kamer geboekt slechts voor 2 personen terwijl ik 3 had opgegeven maar het Hotel heeft dat voor ons opgelost. Super schoon en mooi hotel, ontbijt is top, diner moet je ding zijn want dat is een buffet maar ook daar is er voor ieder wat wils. Faciliteiten dik voor elkaar, aanrader!!

Appartement une chambre très confortable, avec balcon et table, table à l'intérieur, tout confort cuisine. Ménage fait presque tous les jours. Très propre, personnel très gentil, y compris à l'accueil. Nous étions à côté du restaurant au rez-de-chaussée, donc un peu de bruit le soir, mais à côté pour profiter des animations. La résidence est bien placée pour se déplacer à pied en ville, voiture garée à l'extérieur à 5 minutes maximum dans les rues adjacentes. le personnel explique d'ailleurs comment s'y rendre... Très satisfaites de notre séjour.

Hotel Monopol is a fantastic and historic building in a perfect location in Puerto de la Cruz, close to restaurants, shops and the sea front. Perfectly situated. Very clean hotel, lovely breakfast with plenty of choice and staff were all very friendly. En-suite room was spacious with lovely views. Don Carlos Tapas y Vinos is the hotel restaurant and worth a visit, lovely food. Couple of minutes walk from the hotel is the free land train to Loro Parque, lovely zoo and worth a visit. Will return again to Monopol as had an amazing holiday.
