W Ibiza

The hotel is located in the more relax and quiet area. Good for families to enjoy. Their breakfast is very good quality and lots of options. Service team are attentive and friendly. We got a basic room which didn’t really a good view but it doesn’t matter too much if you spend more time by the pool or the beach.

We had the opportunity to stay at the W Ibiza - what a great experience. All the associates from the front desk, rooftop bar Glow Bar, STEPS restaurant to the breakfast team, were very accommodating and offered great service. The food/service at STEPS was exceptional especially the pizza and lasagna. Jose and Sam at the Rooftop offered great service. Our experience at the Beach club was excellent - Cesar was very attentive and the food was wonderful - thank you W Ibiza for making our stay memorable.

We stayed here for 5 nights in a cool corner room. The room was small, but decently comfortable. The air conditioning struggled to get below a certain temperature and it seemed the thermostat did not actually reflect the room temperature. The huge ocean front deck was amazing! There was a large outdoor couch, coffee table, lounge chair, and arm chair. The lamp that was provided did not work (apparently the plug outside was broken) but they brought us one of those portable table lamps from the restaurant when we decided to order room service and eat out there. Service is friendly and definitely well-meaning but it seems they are either understaffed or just need a little more training to be up to 5 star standards. It wasn’t a dealbreaker though. We had a chance to try the new beach club and it’s great! Food was excellent and so was the service. The beach itself was okay (a lot of seaweed floating and rocky). The location itself was really great! The town it’s in has a lot to see and do with a lot of shops and restaurants. There is a boardwalk along the beach that’s super popular for strolling along and runs the length of the town. We had a car so we were able to easily drive around to visit the other towns on the island and visit the different markets. It’s not the best W hotel we have stayed in but I think there is a lot of potential. If you are going to be in Ibiza it’s a good choice!

The staff was so great especially Leandro de manager, Juan door man and the concierge , The hotel is worth it the price, is great location for santa Eularia but very far from ibiza port so rent a car or just consider it will be sometime to get back and forth. The honor my reservation as spoken and that made me very happy some hotel can’t guarantee conenected rooms but this did.

Find somewhere else. It’s like staying in a college dorm. Many places far more considerate for the money. And now for the poorest experience I’ve had I have to add random numbers of letters to justify it. And now we keep going.. no concern for your welfare

Once, W was a brand denoting chic, decadent style, and exceptional service masked under a veil of effortless coolness. Now it seems those days have long passed. After Marriott's acquisition of Starwood, all of the above were simply replaced by corporate coldness and profiteering. If that was a slow decline, with numbers squeezing out lifestyle and experience, then what happened at the W in Ibiza is an example of arrogance, incompetence, and apathy. This was supposed to be a short break with my wife, getting some sun and visiting her friend for her birthday. Our plan was also to have the party visit us at the hotel, have an aperitif on the balcony, and enjoy the beach club. As a 6-year straight Ambassador Elite Member with Marriott (the highest tier possible, requiring 100 nights per year to maintain), I asked my ambassador for an upgrade to a suite with a large balcony (which were available) and confirmed arrangements. I initially booked a cash rate but then switched to points. Upon arrival at the hotel, the following disasters occurred: 1. We had to literally haggle for an upgrade. 2. We found out that, despite the mention on the website, the BonVoy app, and Instagram, the beach club was actually closed. All our plans were ruined. 3. Amenities in the room were just water, ham, and cheese. Long gone are the days when a guest staying 100 nights a year with a minimum spend of $20K would receive a bottle of champagne. 4. When we finally changed rooms, the hotel did not inspect the new room. The shower was not working properly, leading us to go to the birthday party (the whole point of choosing this location) unshowered and an hour late, as the hotel debated whether to fix it or give us a replacement room. 5. There was a fire alarm, which, once taken under control, continued to switch on every single light in the hotel until 3:30 am because the staff didn’t know how to reset the lights. They offered to knock EUR 100 off the bill. 6. The hotel sneaked in a “no show” charge of EUR 340 because I switched the reservation and it didn’t work properly. 7. The hotel double charged our card. At check-in, they requested a deposit for incidentals (as usual), but during a rushed checkout, they kept the deposit and charged the bill all over again, unnecessarily blocking over GBP 1000 for no reason. They basically stole the money. I have tried to resolve the issue through the ambassador, but the hotel has decided to simply ignore my requests for an explanation of why they are taking liberties with my credit card and sneaking in charges out of the blue. The hotel offered a measly 10K points as an “apology” for a disastrous stay. My worst in a W hotel ever. The ambassador has been quite helpless in providing assistance so far. This stay has opened my eyes to the degradation of service at Marriott. Before the merger, something like this would have been unthinkable and is making me seriously consider taking my business elsewhere. A definitive never-again f

The awnings are my only complaint about this property. I wanted to have a cigar on my west-facing balcony but the sun was making it unpleasant. I lowered the awning to provide a bit of relief, but it would automatically retract after a matter of 60-90 seconds. No matter how many times I came inside to lower it again, it would automatically retract. Beyond frustrating. I decided to open the door to the breaker box to see if I could remove the power. Voila. I lowered the awning again and tripped the breaker before it could automatically retract. I was able to enjoy my cigar in comfort. I’ve attached photos below for anyone who would also like to enjoy their balcony without a seemingly arbitrary awning retraction. I truly don’t understand why there is an awning control if we don’t have the option of keeping it down. I am uploading photos of the breaker box and adding red numbers to the photo for your reference.
