Wow. Where do I start. Firstly let’s talk about what you are expecting from your stay. For us, it was purely a business trip. We were using this place as somewhere to get our head down as we were going to be out most of the day. Location: the location of this hotel is awful. There is nothing around. The food they were offering on the menu was so little we decided to go out and find a restaurant. That was impossible! We were walking for 45 minutes (with no Road but I will get to that in a minute) only to find a time town with few cafes and pharmacy. No food anywhere. Now, to get to this town was the scariest walk of my life. There are no pavements. We had to walk on busy roads around bends and everytime I heard a car come, I just tensed up, expecting to be knocked over. The Pool: it was green, dirty and very very small. The food: after our 1.5 hour round trek we decided to come back to the hotel to get food, we were starving. We had been travelling all day. I settled for a vegetarian pizza, would have been nice if it was cooked, it was cold in the middle and hot on the edges. Whatever my husband wanted wasn’t available (burger, pie, meat pizza) so he settled for duck rice. Omg this was the most awful thing I’ve ever seen. The rice was microwave packet rice and the duck…. Well, check out my pictures and judge for yourself. The staff: I have to say, the staff were lovely. Friendly and eager to help. Drinks: there were probably, a choice of 4/5 drinks to choose from. Great if you like whiskey or gin. The room: the room was small, basic and mostly clean. Just very dated and very old. Overall: I know this is a 2 start hotel, so my expectations really weren’t very high but I at least expected it to be in a location where we could walk to get a drink / food somewhere.

Hôtel de qualité Service et propreté très bien ,personnel parle plusieurs langue très appréciable . Chambre spacieuse et confortable Petit déjeuner correct ainsi que le restaurant bon rapport qualité prix Deux points négatif le stationnement des véhicules parking pas facile d accès au sous-sol et la vue et quartier pas très accueillant.

When we arrived on our bikes, we were greeted so nicely before we even went inside. The staff here are invested in your every compfort 100% and 24/7. The hotel and our amazing beach front room with balcony is very upmarket. Someone has gone to alot of expense and effort to provide everything you could possibly need and with no costs spared. We would highly recommend the Furodouro Botique Hotel for your next beach holiday getaway.

From the moment I arrived, the staff was stellar, super professional, and demonstrated great ethics. I want to especially commend a key member of your team, Bruno, for promptly identifying that I had overpaid by £30 during check-in. I was impressed to find a missed call and a note under my door just a few hours later, letting me know that Bruno had identified the mistake and wanted to return the excess payment. This level of honesty and integrity truly speaks to the attitude and values of your leaders and professional staff, and I believe they have great careers ahead of them. Beyond the exceptional service, the SPA was a great experience that exceeded my expectations. The room was large and welcoming, and the bed mattress was as comfortable as clouds. The breakfast was delicious and complete, and even at checkout, the staff was sensational. I arrived at the hotel on 20 November 2022 for a 5 night stay. The stay was business related and with so many hotels to choose from, I decided to go with the Porto Palacio. What an excellent choice! The hotel is absolutely brilliant - I cannot find a fault. Check-in was very smooth and on arrival to the room - wow - very modern, crisp clean sheets on the bed and a spacious room. In terms of food, the Breakfast experience was the best part of the stay for me. I have stayed in many hotels around the world - both on a personal basis and a business basis - I can honestly say that the breakfast staff at the Porto Palacio are the best I've ever come across. On arrival, I was seated quickly. On Day 1, the staff members memorised what I had that cannot be chosen by the buffet - for example, a tea and two plates (as I like two plates) - on Days 2 and for the rest of the trip, I didn't even need to ask. I was called by my Title and Surname on arrival. The whole experience was brilliant. I would like to mention a lady called Rosa and another lady (they both greet staff members at the door) - their hospitality skills are great and they are always smiling - nothing is too much for them. I didn't eat at the restaurant in the evening but had room service as personally, I like to relax after a day at the office. The food was of good quality and was tasty and piping hot. I used the gym during my stay - the gym is open to members of the public, therefore is not your usual hotel gym. It's huge - there are loads of machines and I was never waiting for someone to finish using something. Staff members are friendly. All in all - a brilliant stay and is a genuine 5 star hotel! I will return to the Porto Palacio both on a business basis and also on a personal basis - Porto looks like a great city! It's a shame that I didn't have time to look around as I had a busy schedule but I will certainly be back! Thank you!!
