Magical little gem in the most perfect spot in Santa Monica. Incredible staff (Lenny and Dan are just 2!) with elegant contemporary interiors. Lovely little luxury touches and even poolside live music for the guests with a perfect restaurant. Family friendly my son loved. Very personal and private. Will for sure make this a regular visit when possible!

The staff at the hotel could not have been more friendly and helpful. Whether the valets at curbside, Dan, Lenny and Nester, or Rigoberto who checked us in, their helpful and upbeat attitude made our stay special! The vibe of the property is very relaxed and accommodating. Literally every staff member we encountered was so pleasant and looking to help in any way possible. We can't wait to return to this wonderful little gem.

This is a magnificent hotel and we had a magnificent stay. My wife and I are very well traveled and have very high standards and Oceana Santa Monica met those standards. The ability of top notch hotels delivering top notch guest experiences always comes down to the staff and every single person with whom we had an engagement were just perfect. Friendly, accommodating, and very professional. From the personal greeting at the front door by Lenny (rock star), who gave us a mini-tour of the hotel (to include its unique history) and an introduction to our room - we were off to a good start. The food at the hotel was great. We had lunch by the pool while we waited for our room (for which we still received an early check-in) and saw some A-list celebrities; and both dinner and breakfast at their Sandpiper restaurant. Very good food - very good service. The room was great...well designed....well appointed...clean... comfortable bed....top notch mini-bar... quiet. Nice to be able to open the window especially as our room overlooked Ocean Avenue with a clear view of the ocean. The walking paths right out front of the hotel are beautiful and the walk to the beach - down stairs to a pedestrian bridge across Palisades Hwy/Pacific Coast Hwy took a scant 5 minutes. You are a 15 minute walk to the Santa Monica pier. Everything about this hotel was just wonderful. But again - a super nice property with a very interesting history in a gorgeous setting - we have all stayed at places like that and had a less than inspiring stay. It always comes down to the people and this particular staff was exceptional - and made our stay one of the best hotel experiences that we have had.

Beautifully hotel and great service! We found our stay at this hotel to be relaxing, with a great location and impeccable services. The staff was attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent. Our room was spotless and they did an excellent job with cleaning each day. The gym is small but the equipment is well maintained and it was spotless. IGNORE the negative reviews - there are always some of those people and it is surely them and not the hotel or staff.

This June was my second time staying at Oceana and it was again wonderful! I will continue to come back to Oceana. Oceana LXR sits right on the quiet little Ocean drive and on the other side are beautiful tree line walking paths and of course steps down to the beach, but both times I have stayed here I have never made it to the beach because I love this property/hotel so much. I just want to be at the hotel enjoying the pool side, order a drink and chill. The staff is another reason I love my stays here. They go above and beyond to accommodate you. My young adult daughter was traveling with me and had an interview and they brought in a proper desk with office chair and configured it so that she could have a professional look in the back of her Zoom interview. The particular room we were in had gorgeous lounge area instead of a desk, which is why they brought in a desk for us in the first place. I absolutely appreciated the kind and wonderful service Lenny gave us during our stay. He is incredibly friendly, accommodating, and helpful in every way. His personable nature made our second stay even more special!! Rigo at the front desk was wonderful and accommodating as well, and so professional! I cannot say enough kind things about this place except for - see you next summer! I'm already looking forward to it! Please see my Google review from last year for extensive photos. Only have one exterior shot from this visit as I spent max time relaxing. 😁

Excellent hotel! Service from the beginning to end was amazing. We loved the location and the hotel was beautifully decorated. Linens were all high end and room very clean. Very easy to get in and out of the hotel due to the smaller size. Always offered watered bottles and room with water.
