Lovely hotel, very well located in Santander with everything in walking distance. Immaculately clean, very nice rooms especially the superior doubles and the staff at reception were very helpful. There is a really nice breakfast room and a small bar, with a lovely outside area of seating. Unfortunately the aircon was off for the whole hotel (broken or switched off we didn't quite get to the bottom off) for the full stay and it was unseasonably very hot especially for the upper floors that caught the sun. To be fair we were compensated with a price reduction. Take care if you catch a taxi from the airport (c.E20) as we were all initially delivered to the wrong location as there are other hotels with similar names. Make sure you give the taxi driver a clear note of the name & full address. Overall a nice stay and we would go there again.

Ticks all of the boxes. Location, secure underground car park on site, reasonable rate, very friendly staff, excellent clean and comfortable rooms. We didn’t look at so many other options when looking for an overnight stay (we were on our last night of 17 in our camper van). Silken Coliseum jumped out, looked like it was what we needed… and it was! We had lunch in the restaurant as it was a little too hot to go for a wander. It was excellent, as was the hostess. Bit of a language barrier as our Spanish is limited. But the food was as good as we had eaten all trip.

MALÍSIMA EXPERIENCIA. No me han mandado directa al HOSPITAL porque se han alineado los astros. Os cuento mi fatídica experiencia. Llegamos anoche, 30 de julio al hotel y, el momento del check-in con la chica que nos atendió fue bueno, pues nos explicó bastantes cosas. Le preguntamos si en la cafetería había leche sin lactosa (puesto que soy ALÉRGICA) ella me dijo que sí y que tenían todo tipo de leche (sin lactosa, soja...). La mañana del 31, bajamos a desayunar, y después de esperar, no exagero, 15 minutos para dos cafés, mi pareja ha pedido uno normal y otro SIN LACTOSA, pues como ya he dicho, soy alérgica. El camarero debe ser que no sabe lo que es la leche sin lactosa, y ha decidido poner leche DESNATADA, (debe ser que al ser Desnatada pues él piensa que no lleva lactosa). Yo estaba fuera, en las mesas que tienen en la entrada del hotel, y no me he dado cuenta de lo sucedido, pero mi pareja que estaba pidiendo en la barra, y suele estar muy pendiente de esto (pues ocasionar un shock anafiláctico a una persona alérgica puede suponer poner en peligro la vida) se ha dado cuenta y rápidamente le ha dicho al camarero que eso no era leche sin lactosa y el camarero le ha contestado: es desnatada. En fin, he tenido que preguntar a la chica de recepción ( esta vez era otra) y le he pedido una hoja de reclamación. La chica me dice que su compañero no ha debido entender el significado de sin lactosa, pero que no lo ha hecho con mala intención. Yo le he explicado que no dudo que lo haya hecho aposta, pero que un error como este en una persona que no puede tomar LACTOSA puede poner en peligro la vida. No pago 90 euros de hotel por una noche y 9 euros por un desayuno que no han podido ponerme ni leche sin lactosa. VERGONZOSO Lo sucedido hoy en el hotel San Millán. NO RECOMENDABLE.

We have stayed numerous times at this hotel on our return to the UK by ferry....the hotel is always clean with good twin rooms and ensuite; the rooms may not be the most spacious, but very acceptable for an overnight stay. Very friendly reception staff and car parking both open and closed but under surveillance. Close to some restaurants and bars and a 10 minute walk to the main shops alongside the sea. Pet friendly. Breakfast is good. Charges apply to parking and pets!

Hotel situato in una posizione eccellente, vicino al centro della città dove sono i negozi, ristoranti e la vita notturna e di fronte al mare. Le spiagge sono raggiungibili facilmente anche attraverso bus (fermata di fronte all'hotel). La camera molto carina, pulita, con tutto il necessario. Unica pecca la camera singola è veramente piccola, il bagno invece è ampio e con una bella doccia ma manca il bidet (presente invece nella doppia).

This was a great little find! We stayed at this hotel on a Wowcher deal and couldn’t be more impressed. It’s everything you need for a couple of nights away. Room was spotless and bed were comfy! The supermarket across the road was perfect for snacks! There are plenty of nice restaurants in the local area to walk too if you don’t want to go into Santander. The sports bar across the road is perfect for an afternoon beer! Easy to get into Santander … we hired a car but also got Taxis in the evening.
