Hotel Cuevas - Adults Only

Amazing experience! Attention to detail in everything. Perfect place for a romantic trip. The official website was very useful, it was full of options and extra services. Definitely going back and thank you to all the staff, we felt very welcomed. It’s very hard to find a place nowadays with a genuine personal touch but your hotel definitely exceeds all expectations!

Everything about this hotel is perfect - location, the outdoor facilities, the comfort of the rooms, excellent breakfast, friendly and very efficient service. Nothing more to be said. We stopped here mainly because we wanted to be fairly close to the ferry home, but were completely charmed by the town and the hotel. Great place.

My darling young wife and I enjoyed two nights in Santillana del Mar staying at the wonderful Hotel Cuevas. The location is great, close to town centre but readily accessible by road (the historic town centre understandably has some vehicle access limitations). The hotel has a few on-street parking spaces and a secure on-site undercover car park; the latter is very secure and accessible but is a small extra cost(well worth it!). Reception was great and immediately offered us an umbrella as it was raining on arrival, thankfully that soon cleared. Our room was superb! It had a great shower with rainshower and handheld spray. We had a jacuzzi in our room which was fabulous. The gardens and pool were great. There is a VW Type 2 (bus/van) based Pool Bar which was very attractive. The main bar was also very pleasant and I enjoyed several chilled beers there. We had breakfast both mornings and this was excellent with a varied Continental Buffet and hot items (eggs bacon etc.) cooked to order. WiFi was good throughout the property. The best aspect was the staff. Everyone that we met was friendly, efficient and cheerful. If you are visiting this area, I could not recommend this hotel enough, it is excellent!

Very friendly, helpful staff . Lovely hotel , beautiful rooms , highest standard of cleanliness . The outside terrace was amazing , a lovely treehouse with great views . A little walk into the town , parking right outside the hotel . The food was delicious , try the apple pie . Would definitely stay again

We stay at this hotel a few times a year. Needless to say we stay here because we love this hotel. The staff is absolutely amazing, welcoming and warm. Each stay feels like coming to visit really close friends. Hotel is clean, comfortable and beautifully appointed. Beds are super comfy which is a must for me. Great breakfast. Parking on site available. Easy to get around. If you stay here you will not regret it you will fall in love with this place like we did many years ago. Thank you to all hotel staff for yet another great stay with you!

We have just returned from a trip around the Picos de Europa staying mainly in Paradors. When we got to our last stop at Santillana de Mar we had to find our own accommodation and chose hotel Cuevas…..what a great choice. The hotel is adults only and it is stunning with well equipped beautiful bedrooms. We had one looking over the front of the hotel, the ones at the rear have balconies and overlook the pool in a lovely quiet setting with a bar made out of an old VW camper van “tres chic”! We were in an open topped car and used the secure garage under the hotel. The hotel itself is immaculate with very tasteful decorations and furniture. The restaurant is very nice with a good choice of menu though we ate out both nights whilst walking around Santillana which is just a 4/5 minute walk away to the centre. We had breakfast both days in the restaurant which was excellent and cooked to order. Anywhere is only as good as it’s staff and this is why we give it 5 stars, they were all amazing from start to finish and could not have been more welcoming or helpful. On the day we left we were presented with some food and drink for our journey in a Cuevas Hotel canvas bag! If you are wanting to visit the beautiful town of Santillana you will not do better than staying in this hotel👍👍

We stay there for 2 nights and It's a real first class hotel in this historic area. Offer a very large breakfast options. The site is spectacular specially the pool area. ( since we were a bit off season it was calm and temp of pool too cold to enjoy) Room are a bit small but modern . Special note for restaurant for diner

What a find...... We had 2 wonderful days here would have loved another day but there is always next time. We loved the layout of the outside...chill out areas everywhere. The staff were so attentive and so very helpful. They went above and beyond what was expected to make our stay wonderful and we so appreciated it. We loved the breakfast,what a feast and nothing was a problem for the fantastic staff. Well done to you all and we will be back.
