Arotron Santorini

Not what I expected — disappointing experience My stay at Arotron Suites was unfortunately below expectations. The property did not match the online photos or descriptions — it lacked charm and did not offer the advertised sea views. No receptionist on staff in the evenings like in a normal hotel, so I was kinda scared each night, cos I was alone; the Door has no automatic key card, just a single long key. But the rooms were cleaned every day by a housekeeper. On my last day, I noticed some of my belongings were missing and had to file a police report, which made the experience even more unpleasant. The police stated they will follow up. Transportation was also challenging — several drivers refused to pick me up because of the hotel’s difficult location and layout, leaving me to walk under the hot sun. Although my suite was described as the largest, it only had a jacuzzi, while smaller suites had private pools. This felt misleading and disappointing given the high temperatures (over 90°F) during my stay. Overall, I did not enjoy my time here and would not recommend this hotel to others visiting Santorini.

This place is perfection. The suites are quiet, comfortable, and romantic. The private pool is a wonderful way to start, spend, or wrap up a day. The staff, led by the wonderful Nadia, is ever accommodating and discretely attentive. The breakfast is as large or small as you’d like and VERY tasty. Pyrgos is off the touristy path of Fira and Oia, but close enough to get there quickly and easily; but, has its own unique charm with great food and history, and several wineries nest by. I heartily recommend the Arotron Suites. It is a hidden gem. It is one of my most memorable stays in decades.

Cannot fault our stay at Arotron in September. The Villa was immaculate and stylish with fabulous views. Breakfast was delivered each morning to enjoy on the patio. The villa is very peaceful and many lovely restaurants 5-10 minutes walk. The staff were friendly and helpful and Nadia In particular went above and beyond to help us when one of us needed medical care. Would highly recommend this hotel.
