We recently stayed at Santo Mine Oia Suites and were thoroughly impressed by our experience. From the moment we arrived, it became clear that we had made the right choice for our vacation. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the Sunset and Sea View Jacuzzi room, which provided an incredible view of the famous Santorini sunset. The private jacuzzi was the perfect way to wind down after a day of exploring, especially on the slightly colder evenings. It added a touch of luxury and comfort, and we couldn’t imagine our stay without it. Santo Mine Oia Suites is a relatively new resort, and it certainly lives up to its expectations in terms of the rooms and amenities. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. The design is fresh and modern, with an attention to detail that made the entire suite feel special. The spaciousness of the room was just right. We received a complementary beach bag, daily water cartons and sometimes our towels were replaced twice a day. The resort’s newness, however, does come with a small downside. Because it's still relatively undiscovered, there were moments when we felt a little lost, particularly upon arrival. We were dropped off directly at Santo Mine and had no idea where the reception was. It turns out, the reception is shared with Santo Pure, a sister property just five minutes away on foot. However, exursion transfers tended to pick/drop off at Santo Pure. A heads-up about this from the resort would have been appreciated. Another thing to note is that Santo Mine's location means there is quite a bit of walking involved, which may not suit everyone. The scenic walks to the town center and Ammoudi Bay are about 10 minutes each, but they are uphill and downhill, so be prepared for some exertion. Alternatively, you can take a cab, but it will cost you around 30 euros for a relatively short distance. If you’re ready to explore on foot, though, the walks are beautiful and worth the effort, offering stunning views along the way. On the dining side, breakfast at Santo Mine was pleasant but repetitive. We were there for several days and noticed that the menu didn’t change much, expect for one or two items. The standard offerings like scrambled eggs and bacon were consistently available, but the lack of an omelette station was surprising for a resort of this caliber. A bit more variety would go a long way in elevating the overall breakfast experience. There were a couple of other small drawbacks as well. The pool, while gorgeous, was not heated, which made it less inviting on cooler days. While this wasn’t a major issue as we had the jacuzzi, having the option for a heated pool would have been a nice touch. Additionally, we requested a late checkout of just 30 minutes but were declined due to the resort being busy, which was a little disappointing. That said, the staff were friendly, warm, and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We were welcomed with complimentary wine and fruit platter in ou
