We arrived at the hotel and got a warm reception. They took our breakfast order for the following morning and completed the check in process. Our room had a sitting area at the front door and balcony. Bed was comfortable and room had all the necessary amenities. The hotel is very service oriented with friendly and accommodating staff. They delivered a yummy breakfast to our room, on time. If you don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars per night for a room over looking the ocean, but close enough to shopping and restaurants, this is the place. We would definitely go back and recommend to others.

Great service. Nice room, inspire of the low roof where we bumped our head all the time. But the best ever in the Katikies Hotel is the staff. The people you are. From the warm welcome the moment we arrived at the hotel, we knew this we were going to have a very special stay at this property. The hotel is located in the dead center of Oia -- making it an easy 10 - 15 min walk to get to anything in the area and easily accessible to the taxi stand, bus stop, restaurants, shops, and more. The views are second to none -- literally everywhere you look is another postcard perfect photo opportunity. The suites are not only beautiful and spotless, but well maintained, charming, spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The outdoor spaces are comfortable and are the perfect place to enjoy a beverage, dip in the pool or hot tub, or your daily breakfast. I wanted to especially thank the housekeeping staff for their outstanding job keeping our room so clean (twice daily service) and Georgia and Kim for taking such good care of us. No stay is perfect, and even when we had a few very minor glitches, they both responded with care and lightning speed to go above and beyond to surprise and delight us. I can't wait to return to this fairytale property. Do yourself a favor and look no further -- you've found the perfect place to call home on your visit to Santorini!

The website and pictures are misleading. Whilst our room did have a view of the Caldera, you had to stand to see it as the ****s in front of the room were so overgrown and could easily have been cut back. One of the 2 rather poor quality outside chairs was actually broken and the outdoor concrete seating and no cushions. There was some kind of access plumbing hatch in the middle of the seating with the door broken. The place smelled of cat urine because the feral cats were using the overgrown area to live in. The tiles on the floor of the shower were all broken and I cut my foot on them. I did ask for a different room but the alternative was no better. The day before I left I sent a complaint by email at 2pm and got a call at 7pm asking did I want to move rooms, when I said no as we were leaving the following day they left a bottle of wine in the room. The porter Stefan was really good though, very helpful and carried our bags. I would not book this place again as felt it was more a 2* than the advertised 4* and you don’t know what your getting until you get here. Having said this, I don’t think it would take much to make this place presentable. It is a good location and the bed was good quality and comfortable and I found the staff ok.

Ok so be prepared for some uphill walking to get from the drop off/parking area to the hotel. However the porter met us off our bus and helped with the bags. The pros were the lovely views beIng up high, the quiet location meant it was slightly cheaper then staying right in Oia which was a nice 15ish min walk from the parking area and the breakfast was delivered to the room in the morning at our requested time and was lovely. When we arrived we were a little disappointed as the terrace didn’t look as nice as the photos, the whirlpool was tiny considering there were 3 of us and the loungers had no cushions so were hard wood. The room itself was nice although there were quite a few ants coming in which wasn’t the nicest experience for me as I was the one sleeping downstairs and kept finding them. We wanted late checkout which we were willing to pay for. The manager seemed a little insincere with his attempted effort to find any where for us to go after check out and said there was nothing available however we could see on *********** that there were still rooms available. He did however allow us to rest in his office AC for a while till our bus came so its not all bad! Overall Id say its a good choice for a nice stay near Oia however given it was advertised as a honeymoon suite I would not recommend it for this purpose given the fragile bed upstairs.

We stayed in the Deluxe Suite, and while it is definitely not a four-star hotel, it was a great experience. THE GOOD: - Stunning view. You really won't get a better one anywhere, unless you're paying top dollar for a hotel that's alone on some kind of a rock outcrop - Friendly and helpful check-in guy and porter (carried our bags from front desk which is in another location with no fuss or complaint) - Enormous. More space than 2 people need, and 4 would be comfortable as long as they don't mind a less deluxe bed. Two bathrooms! The suite has a funky, cave-y kitschy charm -Hot tub! THE NOT SO GOOD: - Condition of the entire suite is so-so. One of the showers didn't work all that well (control valve was broken or something). Various other things just not in great condition or high-quality to begin with - NO A/C IN THE BEDROOM! To me this is inexcusable. Thank god it wasn't too hot in late September, but it was borderline, and summer would likely be awful. The only AC unit was in the living/common room - VIDEO CAMERA monitors everything that happens on the terrace/hot tub. I would say the benefit of this for ”security” does not outweigh the loss of privacy. Be advised. Overall, as long as your tastes are not overly luxurious, it's a decent spot with a great view.
