This hotel is located at the far end of Haitang Bay, just a few hundred meters from Lingshui, offering a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. It's an excellent spot for relaxation, with fewer crowds. While there aren't many shops directly outside the hotel, plenty of dining options are just a kilometer away, and food delivery is very convenient. The hotel's own Thai restaurant is also excellent. The recreational facilities are fantastic. There are plenty of sun loungers by the swimming pool, and the hotel boasts a private beach with an abundance of comfortable loungers, chairs, and hammocks. Breakfast is also great, with numerous indoor and outdoor seating options. Our room was very spacious and faced directly south, right onto the beach (most hotels in Haitang Bay face southeast). We could enjoy plenty of sun on our balcony. The only issue we encountered was that the safe in our room was broken. Eventually, a hotel engineer came to replace it. For a five-star Renaissance brand hotel, this really shouldn't happen.

The hotel service was excellent. I added the Trip.com concierge's WeChat, and they were incredibly helpful in resolving issues. We had to switch rooms twice before we were satisfied, and I really appreciate the bell staff for their hard work in moving our luggage each time. The hotel offers an airport shuttle, which is a significant plus, and you can book it a day in advance. The hotel environment is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for a vacation, and it has its own private beach. The hotel breakfast was also quite good, and the restaurant's food was excellent. Facilities: Some areas are a bit dated, and I hope they can be renovated soon. I wish the hotel continued success and improvement. If a full renovation isn't possible in the near future, perhaps they could replace smaller items like hair dryers and some of the worn-out chairs. Hygiene: Overall, it was acceptable. However, I hope the hotel can regularly clean hard-to-reach areas, like inside the spotlights, as those details were a little off-putting.

This hotel is really good and spacious, and the breakfast spread is fantastic. It was my first time in Sanya, and I'm so glad I chose this hotel – definitely didn't pick wrong! The front desk even upgraded my room, which was a lovely bonus. I think this hotel is excellent, though my stay was a bit rushed. I arrived very late at night and had to leave for Haikou by 7 or 8 AM after breakfast. Otherwise, if I had more time next time, I'd definitely stay here again. Highly recommend it!

Our stay was fantastic! The hotel's grand gardens and the sprawling pool system are absolutely incredible. From our room balcony, we had breathtaking views of swaying palm trees and the azure sea – it immediately put us in relaxation mode. The service at the hotel maintained a high standard; we did encounter a couple of minor issues, but the staff member, Marcia, addressed them promptly, which was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was abundant, and the newly added local 'Qingbuliang' (herbal dessert) stall was a big hit. My favorite part was definitely the beach – the sand was wonderfully soft, and it wasn't crowded. Whether I was jogging in the morning or just sitting and listening to the waves at sunset, I had a perfect sense of tranquility. Overall, with its just-right warmth and stunning scenery, this place perfectly embodies what a 'leisurely vacation' should be. As we left this time, I was already looking forward to our next visit.

This hotel deserves a perfect score for our stay! Traveling with kids, they were completely captivated by the wide range of activities, with a new theme every day. They had a blast, and we finally got to relax. What truly touched us was the butler's incredibly thoughtful service. They not only remembered our needs but often surprised us with thoughtful gestures—fresh coconuts meticulously prepared in our room, and different welcome fruit platters every time. These heartwarming details far exceeded our expectations. This hotel truly knows how to create memorable moments. Highly recommend it, especially for families; you're guaranteed to have a joyful and warm experience!

The room was spacious and bright, and having the pool right downstairs was super convenient for a swim. Our butler, Audrey, provided excellent service and was quick to resolve any issues we had!

Our stay was fantastic! The hotel room was spacious and comfortable, and the sea view from the room was absolutely beautiful. Bruce provided excellent and attentive service. The hotel itself is stunning, with picturesque views at every turn. Sitting in the 'birdcage' chairs by the sea, enjoying the ocean breeze, was so relaxing and not at all hot. The only minor issue was that check-in was a bit slow.

I rarely write reviews, but this hotel is just too unique. First off, the hotel is located in Tengqiao Town, which is very far from Haitang Bay. It's about 10 kilometers to the duty-free shop, and right next to the Tengqiao Ancient Tomb Complex. If you're afraid of ghosts, I'd suggest staying away. Getting around is extremely inconvenient; there's nothing to eat or drink nearby, just a pitch-black, big rural area. Secondly, this hotel feels like a three-star motel that caters to tour groups. There's absolutely no service to speak of; the front desk staff barely utter a word, even though they upgraded my room, which was probably just a perk of being a Ctrip Platinum member. Finally, let's talk about hygiene: the bathroom had a terrible sewer smell, and the bedding smelled foul, especially the pillows. The stuffing was all clumped together, feeling like a wad of socks when you touched it. The duvet was as thin as paper, probably used since the hotel opened without ever being replaced. I had to sleep with my own scarf as a barrier. The bedding was truly disgusting! It smelled like the body odor of a greasy man who had slept in it, and I felt nauseous all night. The breakfast area was also packed, full of tour group guests. If I had to mention a positive, the weather was good so the scenery was nice, and the hotel price was relatively low compared to other star-rated hotels in Haitang Bay. But for a Marriott-affiliated five-star hotel, this place definitely doesn't live up to its price. At most, it's a guesthouse for off-season stays. I genuinely do not recommend staying here for a vacation; after one night, I felt completely dirty! There's absolutely no service or quality control to be found.

Extremely satisfied with this booking! It's usually really hard to find a room that fits two adults and a 13-year-old, but the smaller bed in their family room is 1.2 meters, which was perfect for my child. The facilities are excellent, especially having two sinks and a huge walk-in closet. I'll definitely stay here again. The concierge service was fantastic too, very attentive and personalized.

It's truly meaningful to revisit a place after so many years. I came here a decade ago, and it was wonderful to recreate photos in the same spots and relive those memories. This is arguably the best value-for-money hotel in Sanya. After ten years, the rooms are still spacious and clean, and the cream-colored decor surprisingly still feels modern. The restaurant is just as impressive; it's no easy feat for a business to maintain such standards after a pandemic and in a challenging economic climate. Any issues I raised were addressed very well, with mutual understanding. I wish Renaissance all the best and I'll definitely be back. Plus, they've added a vegetable garden and a small petting zoo, which is a fantastic idea and was my favorite spot this trip!

The Renaissance Sanya Haitang Bay is absolutely perfect for solo travelers! It was so relaxing and enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bedding was soft, ensuring a great night's sleep. The breakfast buffet was exquisite and delicious, and the service was attentive yet unobtrusive – they truly understood the perfect balance. It's close to the beach, so I could go for a stroll or dip my toes in the water anytime, and the duty-free shop was also conveniently located. If you're looking for a place to unwind and recharge by yourself, this is the perfect choice!

The environment here is fantastic! After checking in, it's just a few minutes' walk to the beach. The hotel facilities are excellent, and there are so many activities to choose from. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, and the breakfast is delicious, featuring local specialties right here at the hotel. Highly recommended!!

The Sanya Renaissance Resort offers incredible value for money! 👍 The rooms are spacious, even the standard ones are 60 square meters. The hotel grounds have a lovely garden and fresh air, and the lagoon pool is beautiful. The restaurant has a wide variety of delicious dishes. Special shoutout to our butler, Audrey, whose service was absolutely outstanding – so warm and thoughtful. Plus, it's close to nearby attractions, making it very convenient for getting around. Highly recommend!
