This is not a 5 Star hotel. At most I would give it a 2.5 star rating. Accor should deflag this property. It is an embarrassment to the Fairmont and Accor brand. Here are just some of the problems I encountered:
1. Room- lock doesn’t work, do not disturb doesn’t work, housekeeping button doesn’t work, shower and toilet smells like mould, bathroom light went out and engineering fixed it quickly but housekeeping was reluctant to clean up the mess and kept telling me to sweep it on the side (I insisted and she did a mediocre job)
2. Pool- no food and beverage service, when asked the staff asked me to order take out from Meituan (what a joke), lounge chairs were filthy
3. Signage- placed without logic, the fitness room sign points to one direction when it’s in the opposite
4. Service- not one person could speak English or French, this is a French International hotel chain, not a local Chinese brand. All the descriptions and activities were all in Chinese as well, not friendly for non Chinese guests
5. Others- attention to detail doesn’t exist, worse hanging everywhere, garbage placed in the sides, lazy staff and mentality
I will never we stay at this property again and do not recommend it to anyone that’s used to 5 star level service.
