Hotel was about 10min walk from Sapporo Station - look for signage to Emion Hotel - you can walk on street level or underground walkway which is covered all the way. The building next to Emion is brand new (forgot the name) - this building has a direct lift that leads to the underground walkway. Exit 15 will lead you to a few Izakaya places and it's fully covered the walkway. Breakfast was good with local fare such as japanese curry with rice, soba, miso, fried chicken (was good!), various juices, fruits and desserts - breakfast ends at 930am. The onsen on 2nd floor is open to public but hotel guests can go in for free - opens till late 1am almost everyday. Hotel will issue the onsen card to all hotel guests separately. 7Eleven right downstairs for convenience. We had a three bedder, was a bit squeezy - see photo. bathroom had a tub which was a good surprise. toilet is separated fr bathroom. No gym though which is why i gave 4 stars for facilities.

We recently stayed at the Grand Mercury in Sapporo and had a generally positive experience. The hotel's location is very strategic, allowing easy access to various attractions in the city. One of the major perks was the free parking, which added significant convenience to our stay.
The room size was quite large, providing ample space for our kids to run around, which was a big plus for us. Additionally, the location is pretty quiet, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. While the hotel was fairly clean, it wasn't spotless. I'd give the cleanliness a rating of about 8 out of 10. The service was okay, with many self-service options available, which might suit some guests more than others. Overall, the Grand Mercury is a good choice if you're looking for a convenient location, spacious rooms, and free parking in Sapporo.

The staff here are fluent in English which is such a rare find in Japan. We loved the interior decor and vibes of the hotel lobby and our room. Location is alright (walkable to Odori park, Sapporo clock tower & other attractions in that area in around 20-25 minutes). Room size was comfortable as well.

Our recent stay at the Sapporo Stream Hotel was a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend it, especially for families with young children. The hotel’s location is truly unbeatable—it’s conveniently situated near major attractions, restaurants, and public transportation, making it easy to explore Sapporo without any hassle.
The hotel's accessibility was a game-changer for families like ours travelling with a stroller. It's directly accessible to the Cocono Susukino Mall and then directly down to the station area. It’s rare to find a hotel this considerate towards families, and we really appreciated the thoughtful design.
The housekeeping service was another highlight of our stay. The hotel efficiently ensuring our room was well-stocked with their “menu” of housekeeping options!
As expected in a Japanese hotel, the room was compact but thoughtfully designed. While opening two suitcases at the same time was a challenge, this is typical for hotels in Japan. The space was well-utilized, and we found it cosy and sufficient for our needs.
Overall, Sapporo Stream Hotel exceeded our expectations with its prime location, family-friendly accessibility, and excellent housekeeping. While the room size might be a slight adjustment for some, it’s a small trade-off for the convenience and quality of service provided. We’d gladly stay here again on our next visit to Sapporo!

The room booked (deluxe double) was spacious (over 40 square meters) and the breakfast selection was decent. My children loved the food!
Jump onto the Tozai line at Odori and you can visit Shiroi Koibito park after a short walk.
Jump onto the JR line at Sapporo and you can reach to further places like Otaru or Noboribetsu.
The service staff are friendly and helpful. Certainly recommended if you’re coming with young kids.

Berbeza dengan hotel lain tempat saya menginap beberapa malam yang lalu, terdapat lebih sedikit item untuk sarapan pagi, udang manis dan salmon telah dibungkus terlebih dahulu hirisan daging babi yang dibakar untuk ramen juga dipotong menjadi kepingan kecil, dan buahnya sangat nipis sehingga kelihatan seperti hiasan di tepi pinggan memakannya.

Bilik standard twin bagus. Penghawa dingin dan penyahlembapan berfungsi dengan baik.
Mandi adalah sangat baik. Tuala mandi, berus gigi dan selipar dihantar ke bilik setiap hari. Tandas dibekalkan percuma di lobi serta kopi/teh/aiskrim. Terdapat juga mesin basuh yang dikendalikan dengan syiling, ia sangat berguna.
Kakitangan kaunter penerimaan tetamu, terutamanya Nagai dan gadis dan lelaki muda yang lain, dan atendan bilik sangat baik dan membantu kecuali Pengurus Meja Penyambut Tamu, seorang lelaki Jepun, yang kasar. Dia tidak pernah menyambut tetamu pada waktu pagi atau petang (sama ada bahasa Inggeris/Jepun). Tiada senyuman langsung. Walaupun saya berkata ”Hello, selamat pagi, apa khabar?” dalam bahasa inggeris dan jepun kepadanya, dia tiada respon dan hanya memandang saya, dia sangat sombong dan tidak sopan! Selepas itu, saya tidak bertegur sapa dengannya lagi sepanjang tinggal saya. Dia pastinya perlu mengikuti latihan perkhidmatan pelanggan yang betul untuk memperbaiki sikapnya sebagai bekerja di kaunter penerimaan tetamu!!!

Room was comfy but not very soundproof. The guests above us were very noticeable; lots of foot stomping and moving around from 7:00am which wasn’t ideal.
Great shower, water pressure was brilliant and the bath products were good.

RR J WRelatively clean, though it is evident that the hotel is quite old. The room and toilet were cosy. One main upside to this hotel is that they offer free drinks (coffee, tea, red/white wine, fruit juice, and hotel-made soup) from 1pm to 7pm, which is free flow as long as you are a guest at the hotel. There are also two fine dining restaurants at the top two floors, one of which is teppanyaki-style. There is also breakfast buffet at Lvl 5 which is quite nice.

AAsiaFamTravels2 small double beds were fine for 2 adults and 2 kids. Great breakfast buffet including wine and ice cream, salmon roe, cod roe and rice porridge for kids! Late checkout incurs a fee of 2000 yen an hour. Right outside exit 9 of JR with complete step-free access from the JR trains. No facilities but at least the lifts are fast. Close to daimaru where there is a Pokémon Heaps of mainland chinese tourists but I would definitely stay again.

Location: It was good. If you want to save up on transportation cost, the hotel is legit walking distance to many (like the JR sapporo station that has a mall, the clock tower, etc. Theres also a few convenient stores really close by.
Lobby: I came here when it was snowing so prepare for slippery and dirty floors! Theres also only 2 elevators and a lot of tourists come in groups so you might need to line up to use it.
Amenities: Theres only 2 laundry machines so try not to need to use it because they dont have a system for people using it, making it hard to identify whose clothes belong to when its done so the staff just lets it be there, making it hard for others to use it.
The amenities in the room was standard. I do enjoy the remote control bidet and they have a kid’s washing option which was rare.
Some reviews complained about the cleaning seemed to not read the instructions. Please use the ‘please clean’ or ‘do not disturb’ cards when you stay there and put the cards outside your room before 10 am. This information will be given during check in and they’ll will wait for you to finish reading it.
Room: The room can only fit 1 large luggage and at most 2 mid size luggage. It was pretty small if you have a big body frame.
The room wasn’t that clean. There was dried up chilli oil stain on the table that can easily be wiped off. This lowkey made me wonder how they cleaned the room and there i went on a bit of a cleaning spree on most frequently used places before utilising it.
The pillow was too soft that lowkey feels like nothing and the lighting at the vanity was bad for applying make up.
The air condition was bad in my opinion. They shouldve just not put it on heater mode because it was too warm to feel sleep at night. We had to turn off the heater and open the window to sleep.
Bonus:
- they gave us a few coupons for nearby seafood restaurants
- the room has a purifier + humidifier which is good for the cold weather
Overall:
A great hotel to stay in if you’re looking for a budgeted stay! Great location and comfortable accommodation.

Having recently returned from another stay at the Jozankei View Hotel, I couldn't resist sharing my positive experience once again. This wasn't my first visit, and it certainly reaffirmed my love for this incredible resort.
Highlights:
Indulgent Buffet Dinners: The star of the show remains the phenomenal buffet dinners. The variety and quality of dishes, spanning Japanese, Western, and even Chinese cuisines, is truly impressive. It's a feast for the senses and the stomach, leaving you fully satisfied and wanting more.
Water Paradise: The Water Kingdom Lagoon is a haven for water lovers of all ages. The massive indoor space features various slides, pools, and attractions, providing endless fun and entertainment.
Soothing Hot Springs: What's a trip to Jozankei without the hot springs? The hotel boasts vast indoor and outdoor baths, each with its unique charm and atmosphere. Immersing myself in the steaming waters, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, was pure bliss.
Delicious Breakfast Spreads: Breakfasts were just as impressive as the dinners, offering a diverse selection of Japanese and Western dishes to fuel your day's adventures.
Japanese Charm: I particularly enjoyed the lovely Japanese-style room. The traditional tatami mats, futon bedding, and overall ambiance instantly transported me to another world, enhancing the authentic Japanese experience.

My return to the Jozankei View Hotel was just as fantastic as my first visit. From the delightful buffet meals and incredible water park to the relaxing hot springs and charming Japanese-style rooms, every aspect contributed to a memorable and rejuvenating stay. If you're seeking a luxurious escape with exceptional amenities and a true taste of Japanese hospitality, look no further than the Jozankei View Hotel. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back for a third visit myself!

OOnanongThis is an excellent place to stay in Hokkaido. The location is quite convenient to get to, and there’s an affordable car park available at the entrance of the alley. The surrounding area has restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores nearby. The accommodation is not far from Susukino district, and it’s about a 15-20 minute walk. The check-in process might be a bit complicated, but the host provides clear and helpful instructions.
The interior is more spacious than I expected. Upon entering, there are two wardrobes where you can hang coats or winter clothes, with plenty of hangers provided. There are 2 bathrooms, 2 shower rooms, and 2 sinks. Bathroom amenities include towels, head towels, soap, shampoo, and extras like hair ties, cotton buds, and shower caps. A washing machine is also available, complete with detergent, bleach, and drying racks. Clothes can be dried using the heat from the heater, which is very convenient.
The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric stove, microwave, kettle, plates, bowls, cutlery, and even a sink. In the living room, there’s a dining table with chairs, a sofa set with a coffee table, and a TV. Beyond that is the sleeping area, which has one large bed and two bunk beds. Each bed has its own power outlet for charging devices, which is fantastic. There’s also a small table by the window, perfect for use as a makeup station.
This is a place I would love to stay at again. It holds wonderful memories for me, and I can still picture how everything looks. Thank you for providing such a lovely and reasonably priced accommodation. I absolutely love this place!
