As a couple we needed to work remotely for a few days. The Residence Inn was perfect! The two room set up gave us plenty of space, with and a bright and pleasant decor in the room, and good wi-fi. The kitchen set up allowed us to make meals and save money. We enjoyed the fitness center and heated pool. Breakfast gave us healthy options. And, all of the staff were friendly.

I feel like there is zero value here. I paid a ridiculous amount of money and got a dirty coffee machine( the water holding compartment was full of some flakey stuff), a dirty sink, no toiletries, and a banged up and super loud a/c. The staff however were super nice! However, I will never stay here again as I paid $900 for two nights stay, and the rooms are just standard rooms. I could have stayed anywhere for that kind of money. One of the fees was a “destination” fee for $25. Yay! I arrived. Charge me money?

I had a family wedding in June in Savannah. When the save the dates went out this lovely hotel was not open. At the time I booked what I thought was a nice hotel, The Perry Lane. However after two nights at The Perry Lane I knew I needed to be somewhere else. Luckily I was able to get one night at The Hotel Bardo and change my very unhappy trip to something memorable. This is truly a unique property set right across from the park that is the heart of Savannah. Elegant modern furnishings mix with Victorian architecture to draw you in. The staff are friendly and professional. The pool is right out of a luxury travel magazine. Room service, pool and St. Bibiana restaurants were all excellent. I will never stay anywhere else in Savannah now that this lovely property has opened.

We were so excited for our Savannah trip but the hotel was a bit of a let down. This is a 3-3.5 star hotel. Negative: Unprofessional front desk employees. The front desk workers were on their cellphones each time we were downstairs or walking through. The trash in the main entrance was over flowing, all Lysol holders had no wipes, the main restroom downstairs had no paper towels and the gym water dispenser was so dirty. They never said hello, acknowledged guest coming/going and they were sitting in the communal/sitting area on their phones when the front wasn’t busy! 1. I called and asked for an early check in and to be in the pond side (I read that the road side is extremely noisy) as I have a child who is sensitive to noise at night. We arrived at 3:20 and room was not ready- the young lady at the front desk greeted me with “hey” which is very unprofessional. They gave us a roadside room but at 10pmwhen I was coming back from the gym that a group of pilots/flight attendants arrived. They were on the same floor as we were and they were all on the pond side. I understand they are pluots however I am a customer/guest as well. 2. Our room was clean (1 star) but not sure if our linens were new as there was hair on the pillows and in the sheets 3. The road noise is awful - if you are given a roadside room, they must give you earplugs or an additional discount. There is no way that the quality is the same from pond side to roadside rooms. You will not get any sleep but you are paying the same as the person across the hall from you. 4. I asked for earplugs and the lady at the front desk Tuesday morning just stared at me. She then Asked me- what are earplugs? I explained and she said- no we don’t have them. 5. What happened to the cookies? 6. The coffee in the carafes in the front was not fresh. I stopped at 10am to get coffee it was fine, but at 230 you could tell it wasn’t hot or fresh and again at 6. I guess they fill it once and forget about it h til the next morning 7. My daughter wanted tea- at 7pm and we poured water from the hot carafe- the water was yellow (maybe they didn’t clean out the carafe) 8. The breakfast was wonderful- this is we’re the extra star comes in. There was also a staff member who was there each morning, greeted guest and helped if needed. I wouldn’t stay here again- even the good breakfast wouldn’t lure me back. I hope the manager calls me after this review- if not I will be sure to call as a follow up. this hotel was very busy but there were no employees who cared enough to greet guest or clean up. The staff was not welcoming or very nice. Check out Hyatt Place next door instead!
