Super great little hotel with fantastic views of the city and national park which is just a few minutes drive away as is the free to visit Ranthambore Fort (a must see!). The friendly staff, the adequately equipped and clean rooms and the tasty breakfast all contribute to a pleasant stay. Problems with noisy neighbors were eliminated as quickly as possible by an immediate room exchange. Even before the start of the trip, the hotel owner contacted us personally to prepare our stay as pleasantly as possible. - The hotel is a bit out of town so you always need a taxi if you want to do anything. But this is offset by the excellent overall impression of the hotel.

This place is a TOURIST TRAP hotel. Avoid The Vantage Haveli like the plague! Our brief 9-hour stay turned into a nightmare. We were compelled to choose this place for our brief 9-hour stay because we had to depart from our delightful stay at WelcomHeritage Resort. Regrettably, they couldn't accommodate us for an unplanned additional day due to being fully booked and unable to offer an extension. We reluctantly checked in, only to be charged us 1000 rupees for an experience barely worth a dime. The Room: The room was an utter disappointment, emitting nothing but unpleasant vibes. The owner: The owner, a cunning opportunist, seemed solely focused on taking advantage of tourists like us. The Location: Tucked away about 8-minute walk from the main road, this location was a logistical nightmare, leaving us stranded without local transport for a tedious 15-18 minute walk to find a decent meal. Mind you, if you request the opportunist owner to arrange for a transport such as Erickshaw, it will result in him adding a commission higher than that of the rickshaw driver's. The Food: And let's talk about the food – a complete disaster! The so-called ”red sauce pasta” arrived severely undercooked, drowned in an overly spicy Indian tadka that was unfit for consumption. The paneer paratha was even worse – a measly portion with hardly any paneer, overwhelmed by excessive pepper and salt. When we raised our concerns with the owner, he callously dismissed them, displaying a complete lack of empathy. Attached images serve as undeniable proof of our dreadful experience. Save yourselves the trouble and steer clear of this tourist trap. The owner's indifferent attitude only adds insult to injury. Don't fall victim to this horrendous choice. Pro tip: Contact local small time business owners & they will gladly help you with best of the stays & transport. Contact Shatir bhai an e-rickshaw driver on 89469 29786. He will gladly receive you & drop you off at any given time of your choice safely & at a very very very reasonable prices. He can also connect you with really good local stay/food/safari guide options. You can mention that you got referral from Jagdish bhai from Mumbai.

Firstly, I think it is important to point out that this hotel is on the outskirts of the National Park. We booked assuming it was within the walls and were somewhat disappointed to have to travel twenty minutes to get into the National Park each day. That said - Wow! What a hotel. It will surpass your expectations in every way. Service levels are off the chart. You will feel looked after like you have never felt before and when you think they can do no more, they will come up with a little extra to surprise you! The resort is meticulously maintained. The swimming pool is beautiful. The resort is vast and the tents spaced out, so you feel a sense of privacy. The tents are spacious, well appointed with huge bathrooms. Sockets are all in the right place. There are curtains separating the bathroom area from the room and an all important door to the toilet itself for privacy. We made the mistake of assuming that we were on a safari package with the hotel (like you would on safari in Africa) but actually our travel agent had booked all safaris through an outside company. This was disappointing as their vehicles were not new or particularly comfortable and the guides only spoke broken English if any. Safari zones have to be booked in advance and the company that escorted us did not seem to have access to the best zones for sighting a tiger. We found that other guests had much more success in spotting a tiger in zones 1-4. Tigers are few and far between and when one is spotted there will be hoards of vans and jeeps surrounding them. We only spotted 2 tigers in 6 safaris. I would recommend that you book safari through the hotel to avoid our mistake. Whilst we found the tiger safari disappointing, the hotel more than made up for it. A highlight was going to see the hotels rescue elephant, Lakshmi. It resides in the staff quarters ten minutes down the road. We were accompanied by the hotel naturalist who was fantastic in explaining how elephants live and telling us Laksmi's story. My children learnt more in half an hour than they had all safari. We really enjoyed our stay here, as we did at all of the Oberoi hotels we visited on this trip.
