The Helaina

Booked a sea view room for just one night. Very well presented place, friendly helpful staff who are easy to speak to. Loyalty scheme available for repeat visits. First time we have stayed here and we have both agreed this will be our go to hotel for any future visits. Parking was easy enough and the sea view didn't disappoint. The room was very small but clean, tidy with a notably nice bathroom. The full English Breakfast was spot on, Very well cooked And presented. Really enjoyed the whole breakfast experience here. We will definitely be back x

Absolutely spotlessly clean. The owners were really nice. And the lady who did breakfast was really nice and polite. I had full English and was really nice and hot. Not like some I've had in other hotels and b and b. I was upgraded to a sea view at no extra cost. The room was small but not a problem as I was only there for one night. But it wouldn't have been a problem to stay a week in it. The bed.pillows . And bedding was clean and very comfortable and I had the best night's sleep in ages. I live on a main road. So couldn't believe how quiet it was. Room was nice and warm and cosy as was the bathroom shower. Will definitely be staying there again next time I visit my mother.

We stayed here for the first time as we were attending a concert at the Spa. It was an easy walk, about 20 minutes at a steady pace. We received such a lovely warm welcome and shown to our room on the first floor. The décor throughout the hotel is lovely, quite modern with lots of nice paintings and mirrors on the walls. Our room was nice albeit quite small and I did feel rather cramped. It was quite overlooked out of the back so I was glad we had net curtains up at the window. We had to turn the radiator down and open the window as the room was very warm. The bed was nice and comfy although my partner said it was too hard for him. The room had a small wardrobe, bedside cabinets, desk with hospitality tray, two chairs (I would have taken one of those out because it was quite cramped) and a modern bathroom. The toilet was rather strange, I am 5’1” and my feet couldn’t touch the floor when sat on the toilet. I have never seen one so high. The shower had a very big shower head but the water flow to the shower couldn’t cope so the flow was quite disappointing. We ran out of milk during our stay and thought we might find supplies in the front room which had several items you could purchase and an honesty box. Even in the fridge there was no milk, so we had to do without our morning coffee. I know we could have rung the buzzer but didn’t want to disturb the host just for milk. Breakfast was help yourself to cereals, croissants, yogurts, fresh fruit etc. We then both had a lovely full English breakfast. It was piping hot and tasted so fresh, it was lovely. You could tell the products were sourced locally and it was cooked to perfection. We were served with a smile and a nice chat with the lady running the place. We will definitely return as we really enjoyed our stay there but perhaps book a room with a sea view next time.

Top floor room 10, was fantastic, view was amazing facilities excellent. Massive wall mounted tv, tea coffee and hot chocolate replenished daily, large bathroom with super rainfall shower, biggest bed I’ve ever slept in, positioned in the north bay with views of the bay and the castle.Top quality breakfast. Staff all friendly. Couldn’t fault in any way.

We stayed in the B&B side last year and had a fantastic stay with great breakfasts and great hosts. This year we decided to stay in one of the self catering apartments. Can i just say we were blown away with apartment. There was only 2 of us but if need be it had 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4. We were in Room 2 on the 1st floor. It had everything we needed, fridge freezer, dishwasher, etc etc. Tea, coffee, fluffy towels, bathroom gels, shampoos etc...basically everything. It was cosy in the living room and the central heating worked a dream on a particularly cold Friday. The view from the room was excellent with the waves, paddle boarders and surfers to watch. I'll let the photos speak for themselves but the apartment was superb Thanks Helaina, we'll be back for sure 😊👍
