"I recently stayed again at Merusaka Nusa Dua, and overall it was a pleasant and good-value experience.
The staff are consistently kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which remains one of the hotel’s strongest points. Service across the resort is warm and professional, and as a returning guest you do feel looked after.
That said, while the hotel is still positioned as a 5-star property, it is starting to feel a little dated. Compared with some of the newer or recently refurbished hotels in the Nusa Dua area, Merusaka no longer quite sits at the top tier of the 5-star category in terms of rooms and overall polish.
From a value perspective, however, the pricing is very fair. For what you pay, you receive a solid level of comfort, service, and amenities, which makes it a good option—especially for repeat visitors who know what to expect.
Breakfast is excellent and genuinely one of the highlights of the stay, with a wide range of high-quality options to suit different tastes. On the other hand, the New Year’s Eve dinner was average and did not fully meet expectations for the occasion, and the accompanying show was underwhelming.
Overall, Merusaka still offers good value for money, great service, and an outstanding breakfast, but it would benefit from some updates to truly maintain its 5-star positioning compared to other hotels in the area."
