Hotel Pralong

Booked for a week through Inghams Holidays. All of the travel arrangements went like clockwork so much credit to them. The hotel itself was outstanding. Spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom as were all of the public areas. Great food and service in the dining room and lounge and nothing was too much trouble. Went on two guided walks with Inghams reps following a super welcome briefing fabulous. Feel sure we’ll visit this area and hotel again. Thank you all at Inghams and Pralong.

We have just got back from the best week at this hotel! Food was fantastic - 5 courses every night!! Beds were super comfy and nice clean rooms. It was also nice and quiet too with a lovely view from the balcony! Nice sauna and steam room. The photos don’t do it justice, it was much nicer and the communal areas were more modern than expected, they were lovely and cosy too. Staff were also fantastic! Good location as there were so many slopes to ski so close to the hotel! Will definitely come back, as we would like to explore more of the resort!

The hotel was excellent in every respect. We emailed in advance and requested room 40 (bath, shower and balcony) which we were given. Very comfortable room with good beds and cleaned every day to a high standard. The food was exceptional and plenty of it - you will not go hungry, as were the staff - Christian in the very nice bar was a wealth of knowledge about the resort, weather etc. Shayla, Simone and Dominic in the restaurant were brilliant - always smiling and very helpful. Just over 100 yards from the hotel you can put on your skis and slide down an easy track to opposite the short Costabella chair out of the village followed by an easy slope down to the main Dantercepies gondola which leads to Colfosco and the Sella Ronda. You can ski back to the same place at the end of the day. We had a poor weather week and didn’t see much of the wonderful scenery but couldn’t fault the hotel or the resort (a couple of Austrian style apres bars plus other quieter bars). I will certainly return to the Hotel Pralong.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in, very clean, well presented, lovely staff, 10 min walk to gondola, food incredible. Lovely local wine 25 euro a bottle. We had room 22 that's on the side, has a balcony and view away from main road, with shower, some rooms has bath.

Good location in Selva, close to bus stops and a number of chair lifts; excellent bus pass provided via hotel. The service in the hotel was second to none. Lovely room with balcony. Quite close to the main road through the town.

My wife and I have recently returned from an 11 night Inghams holiday in Selva, where we stayed in the Hotel Pralong. The hotel is extremely well looked after and very clean. Our room was adequately sized and had a balcony with a mountain view. It was cleaned to a high standard every day and the towels and bed linen were changed regularly. The food in the hotel was excellent. Don’t expect cooked food for breakfast, but there’s plenty of choice with ham, cheese, muesli, breakfast cereals, bread, rolls and jam, and of course cakes – a choice of 6 every morning!! The 5 course evening meals were fantastic too and the beer and wine were both reasonably priced. We were served each morning and evening by Sebastian who was extremely friendly and efficient, but every one of the staff members were equally as good. A final word must go to Christian, who was front of house. He was very welcoming and friendly, and always there to give advice on walking areas and weather forecasts. We both really enjoyed our stay in the Hotel Pralong, and hope to return in the future.

We were recommended this family run hotel and resort from a friend and we were so impressed. We had a warm welcome from the owners son on arrival and our room on the second floor (no. 40) was lovely. Good size with large balcony overlooking the slopes and a bath in the bathroom which was great to soak in after a day skiing. The food was just amazing with 5 course dinner every evening with no repeated dish over our 7 day. We had initially asked if we could be moved from our assigned table to one near the window but the hotel was full at the time and the owners wife said she would move us when available which she very kindly did on day 3 which was very accommodating. Great cosy bar area for pre dinner drinks and a small lounge area. We didn’t get the chance to use the wellness area so can’t comment about that. . All the staff were very friendly and service was courteous and personable. I have not one negative comment about this fantastic hotel apart from the fact we didn’t want to leave. We will definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at the Pralong. We had read the excellent reviews on here and they were not wrong. From the moment we arrived when the charming owner carried my bag up to the hotel from the (Inghams) coach we received excellent service. Everyone was very friendly, the chambermaids all bid us good morning every day and the waiting staff were polite and attentive. Food was excellent, loads of choice for breakfast and 5 courses for dinner. Drinks in the bar were accompanied by lovely nibbles. Wine list was very good and reasonable. The location is good, at one end of Selva it is nice and quiet at night but only 5 minutes walk downhill into Selva and all the shops and apres ski action. The chair lift opposite is no longer in service but you only have to cross the road outside to join the bottom of a run which takes you to the Dantercepies lift. At the end of the day the run brings you back to the spot opposite the hotel. The boot room was cosy and heated. If you are looking for a lovely family run hotel with great food in a wonderful resort then this is the place for you.

My partner and I have just returned from a 7 night stay at The Hotel Pralong, This is a great little hotel very near the amenities. The rooms were clean, tidy, spacious and best of all a shower that actually has great pressure which is required after a hard days hiking. The breakfast was plentiful, the evening meal which consists of 5 courses if you include the salad buffet was very good especially if you are a fish and meat eater. My other half is a vegetarian which generally limited her choices, however the owners along with the chef went out of their way to prepare an alternative which was not on the standard menu. Also we wold like to thank Christian for his assistance on the best routes in the area and Simone who was our waitress for the week who we found to be very professional and personable.
