The hotel is clean. Location is great. Room is good although it is small as same as most of hotels in Japan. Free onsen for guests. Breakfast is very good. You have local dishes and hot food station. They have Gyutan, Shiroishi noodle, seafood rice and other Japanese food. Only a bit confusion for parking your car and reception tried to fix the issue. I recommend this hotel for everyone stay in Sendai.

The location is fanastic. It is close to Sendai JR Station, Sendai Morning Market and shopping streets. It is especially important given we have 2 ninety-year-old ladies in our group. Breakfast was great. The dining hall was of Art Deco design. It had a mixture of western and Japanese dishes. The amount was plentiful and quality was good. The onsen was free. There were jacuzzi and old water bath. It is pity that there was no open air bath. We would consider a return if we happen to come back to Sendai.

Good location just 5 mins walk from Sendai station and close to shopping malls and shops. Good onsen with free drinks and beer too !ย  Just a bit old but historic ๐Ÿ˜Š

The best part of the hotel is its location a 5-minute walk from the Sendai Station. The decor is a quirky European style. The room was clean and comfortable. We didnโ€™t have breakfast or try the bath but otherwise a very enjoyable stay!

We enjoyed most is their big warm bath tops, clean and relaxing after whole day shopping and running around. Location is excellent and easy to reach everywhere near the train station or by buses as well. Front desk staff are nice and polite. Their English is good to communicate too. Will come back to stay without hesitation.

Convenient location, just across the footbridge from the west exit of Sendai station. Like the European-style design of the room, which is bigger than usual . It also offers a bath and a lounge with free drinks for the guest. Staff are polite and attentive.

Hotel Monterey is centrally located just outside the Sendai Station and is easily seen after you exit the station. The staff was very courteous and helpful at the time of check in. Language could be an issue but is easily manageable. I was offered a single room in a lower floor and on my request for a room on the higher floor, without any hesitation I was allotted a double room on the higher floor. The ambience of the restaurant for breakfast was great and the variety of food served catered to Japanese and western. The breakfast was delicious. I had to extend my stay and this was also done seamlessly without any issues. Overall a great hotel centrally located with plenty of shopping around. If I come to Sendai again, I will return to Hotel Monterey if I visit Sendai again.

Having stayed at a few other properties of this chain, I was quite surprised at the conditions of this one. It must have seen better days. While the cleaning staff did a very good job for our room, another member of our party on a different experience otherwise. Despite my best efforts to explain to the front desk if they can help me hire a driver and vehicle for a day, they came up with a detailed DIY programme. Where is a concierge when you need one ๐Ÿ˜ช

We love the location of this hotel, close to all shoppings, foods and Train Station. Great amenities, nice onsen eventhough a bit old style. If we come back to Sendai, we will choose this hotel again. Thanks for the nice stay.

This is our second times to stay in this hotel. Excellent location and staff. Staff is nice and help us to switch another room as the on/off button is not working. Will defenitiely book this hotel next time.

Beautiful decor and really comfortable. Loved the toiletries and pyjamas provided. There's also an air purifier in each room. Location is superb, a few steps away from Sendai Station and main shopping area!

3-4 mins walk from Sendai Station. Itโ€™s well located and itโ€™s super clean. Staffs were super friendly and helpful. Hotel for 3 of us was great, spacious and facilities inside the room was awesome for the amount I paid! Definitely value for money! Thank you and I will book this again if I ever come Sendai ๐Ÿค™๐Ÿป
