Hotel berhampiran Vittoriosa Waterfront - Birgu Waterfront, Senglea

A very modern studio type apartment equipped with all amenities including a washer-dryer. Very clean and spacious. There is a restaurant with delicious food. The host is very friendly.

The location is convenient with restaurants and plenty of buses nearby but it's also a quite poor and ugly neigbourhood. It seems to be in the process of being gentrified with lot's of construction in the quarter but there are also many abandoned and broken buildings around. Generally it feels a bit sketchy. The Hotel itself is a new construction, designed well and very clean. My biggest complaint however is the service and staff. Unfortunately I was given one of the worst rooms, where the balcony was facing a wall, so there was almost no daylight in the room. When enquiring if a room change is possible, the receptionist blantly lied to my face and said they were fully booked. When I checked online for the same dates and room category, there was still plenty available, even in higher categories. So instead of trying to upsell me or finding another solution to satisfy me as a customer, they treated me like cattle.

Excellent place to stay in the heart of St. Julian’s. Had a very pleasant stay after a horrific experience in a nearby hotel (Carlton Hotel). Anna the receptionist was a wonderful person, I asked to see the room prior to booking it and she did plus all her help for me during my 4 days stay. The room was outstanding with a beautiful big balcony right on the bay with wonderful views. The room was well maintained and super clean with everything you can need. Large king bed with fluffy linen and good pillows. There was hair dryer and water heater, coffee & tea. Also a mini fridge and modern furniture. Bathroom was small but very clean and modern with no issues. Elevator is small but fairly new. Breakfast was also included. Palmena the manager was also very welcoming. Vishnu the male receptionist was very nice upon my checkout and held my bags as I was leaving town later in the day. Special thanks to Anna as she made sure everything was comfortable and that I’m happy with my stay. Definitely coming back and very highly recommended.

Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. The best place to be with the best check in made by Ms. Chiamaka No other place are do good as this one in Malta Best best locations with Cinema, bowling, bars and restaurants night clubs and shoppings all around the hotel 24 hours life. Best experience in the Malta lifestyle

My husband and I returned yesterday from room 218 at BWP in Malta. The staff here are a real asset to this hotel, all of the staff but in particular Deepak, Regi and Sofi in the dining room on level 9 - attentive, friendly and super professional ! They were a joy to meet and were one of our many highlights at this hotel. The food was exceptional on the half board a la carte menu with a change in menu every day. Breakfast was plentiful with everything you could want. The hotel has its own pastry chef - enough said !! The hotel is spotlessly clean as is the rooftop pool and bar, this is a lovely area to relax with plenty sunbeds and large umbrellas for cover if needed. We didnt eat at the pool bar but all of the meals which we saw being delivered looked and smelled excellent too. Any request made to Reception is dealt with immediately and nothing is too much trouble for anyone here. Thank you so much BWP, Malta we will definitely return and in fact we are considering another lovely week in the sun here in November.

Mooi en modern hotel. Mooie en goede locatie vlak aan de promenade. Enig minpuntjes waren: - slecht poetsen van de kamer - restaurant voor ontbijt te klein voor het aantal mensen die kwamen ontbijten en te weinig personeel en te weinig variatie in het ontbijt

Their staff doesn’t comes regularly. One day i had to clean my bin bag and put it outside by myself.This hotel they procided lot of amenities but you have to give them some deposit to get it that's such lame part.but location was good. You can see qawra beach just within 5 min walk. I would say it does worth your money

Ich bin alleine nach Malta gereist und habe mich für das Primera Hotel, als eines der günstigsten Optionen in Malta entschieden. Prinzipiell wird im Reiseführer aufgezeigt, dass man am besten in Valletta aufgehoben ist, dies würde ich allerdings so nicht bestätigen, da man von St. Paul‘s Bay 1 Stunde nach Valletta, 1 Stunde zur Fähre Richtung Gozo und eine halbe Stunde von Rabat/Mdina entfernt ist. Ausflüge wie zur Blue Grotto führen dann nur über Valletta und man ist 2 Stunden unterwegs unterwegs mit dem Bus. Allerdings kann man das ja dann mit einer Reiseroute über Valletta verbinden oder als letzten Spot vor dem Flughafen. Das Hotel war sauber, die Zimmer mehr als genug ausgestattet und für 8€ konnte vor Ort das Frühstück dazu gebucht werden, welches etwas Englisch angehaucht war, aber für jeden etwas dabei war. Das einzige, was schwierig werden könnte, ist als veganer mehr als nur Obst und Brot essen zu können.

Staff are helpful, location is close to beach and Salt Pans. People relying on public transport needa be aware that buses are always coming late, a bit tricky to catch buses in Gozo. Anyhow, the hotel itself is fine, you may tell some areas are dated but you cant ask for too much with this price in this location.
