Ulasan SL Hotel Myeongdong

Absolutely terrible, everyone avoid this hotel! Do not stay here! 1. The location isn't as convenient as it seems; it's about a 6-minute walk to the subway station. 2. The front desk staff had an appalling attitude. At night, I couldn't find a toothbrush, so I called to inquire. They hung up on me 4 times after answering. The same thing happened when Ctrip called on my behalf. The next day, there was no apology whatsoever. Then, when I wanted to store my luggage at the front desk, they said it would cost 11,000 Korean Won if I left it until the next day. It was only when they saw my unhappy expression that they started to explain themselves about the previous day's incident and said sorry, and that they wouldn't charge for the luggage storage. Why did it take so long? Did you only realize your service was bad yesterday while I was talking to you? Initially, there were no remedies, and they repeatedly emphasized that luggage storage would be charged. Is the hotel's business so bad that they have to resort to charging for things like this?!?!?! 3. The room had a strange odor, and the hygiene was poor. The toilet wasn't clean, and I felt itchy and uncomfortable after sleeping on the sheets, which clearly weren't washed properly.

It was very nice hotel. Room was big enough for 4 people and 2 beds were also big enough to sleep. ( 2 queen )There were big fridge, freezer, washing machines and dryer. ( no soap) Amenities were only shampoo, conditioner and body soap. The hotel is located between Myeongdong exit 10 and Chungmuro. The hotel has wow pass machine and convenience store. Staffs were nice and room was clean. ( I just see some dust left on the corner of room but it is not big issue ) Over all we loved to stay here and if we have chance, we would like to stay again.

The location is great, just a 3-5 minute walk from Myeongdong or Chungmuro Station on lines 3/4. The room has a washing machine and dryer, which is very convenient. It seems almost all guests are Chinese. However, there's no full-length mirror in the room, which is a bit inconvenient. As a result, the mirror by the elevator entrance became very popular (see pic 3). 😢😢

Korean subway stations each have a convenient 3-digit number. SL Hotel is located at Myeongdong Station (424) on the blue Line 4. If you don't have luggage, Exit 10 is the most convenient. After exiting Exit 10, walk straight ahead until you see a traffic light. The Ibis Hotel is across the street. Cross the road and turn left, and you'll see the hotel. Google Maps navigation isn't very accurate, but it's actually very easy to find – just walk straight, cross the road, and turn left. (If you have luggage, Exit 1 has escalators and elevators.) Pros: It's relatively new, and the bathroom is decent and not cramped. The GS25 convenience store on the hotel's ground floor is very convenient. Cons: There's only one bedside table, and it only has one power outlet. The double room is tiny, with no chairs or small tables. You have to sit on the edge of the bed to eat takeout or work on a laptop. Heads-up: There's no toothpaste or toothbrush, and the slippers are paper-thin. Housekeeping was a bit rough; they swept up the 'small cards' (presumably room key cards or other small items) into a cosmetic bag, and they ended up damaged.

Overall, the environment is quite clean, and the room was spotless and tidy. However, since I booked a single room, it was really small. I was surprised when I first walked in because it had an L-shaped layout, and I almost thought my suitcase wouldn't even open! Plus, there's no washing machine in the room, so I had to go to the laundry room on the second floor, which I think is a minor inconvenience. On the bright side, the hotel staff were very friendly, and there's a GS25 convenience store downstairs, which is pretty handy. It's also very close to Myeongdong.

The location is absolutely fantastic, but it's definitely on the pricey side. The staff were excellent and very polite, and they even had a self check-in machine with a Chinese language option, which is great for introverts like me. There's a convenience store right downstairs, Myeongdong is just next door, and Namsan Tower is super close too. Honestly, besides the cost, I have no complaints!

The location is very convenient. It’s around 5-8 minutes walk away from the main strip of MyeongDong, however it’s less noisy. The room is very spacious. The fridge is huge and there’s even a washing machine and dryer which I didn’t used. There’s a coffee shop and convenience store right downstairs, very convenient. Most of the customer service staff are nice. The complimentary water bottles were forgotten to be replenished but it’s a minor issue, I went down to concierge and they immediately gave me back. In overall I am satisfied with this hotel I would recommend my friends to stay there.

The location is pretty good, but you still need to walk a few minutes. Service was great too!

I paid a deposit when checking in, but when checking out, the front desk claimed I hadn't. They only refunded it after reviewing the surveillance footage, which confirmed I had indeed paid. There were bloodstains on the curtains. On the second day, I requested room cleaning, and the cleaning lady ended up dumping trash from the neighboring room into my toilet, causing it to clog. There was even trash liquid around the toilet rim. Luckily, a Chinese front desk staff member helped resolve the issue, otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to communicate. It's a new hotel with a great location.

Great location. New hotel. Close to 2 subway and airport bus 6001 and 6015. Highly recommended to ppl with luggage and doesn’t want to carry around the train station. Also easy access via Seoul station and Arex from Incheon Airport. With washing machine and seperate dryer. Room is not big but enough. Room size is comparable to Japan in size. Will still stay there again as I prefer hotel with reception. There’s also a convenient store at the ground floor.

Great location with easy access to all transportation and very helpful staff. On a very quiet street.

Stay at SL Myeongdong for 3 nights. Location is quite good, in between Myeongdong and ChungMuro station (~6 mins walk). Airport bus stops for 6001 and 6015 located near the two stations. Frontdesk is efficient and friendly. Room is bright, relatively small but equipped with washing machine, dryer and a full-size fridge. Bed was comfy, but pillows were too soft. Hotel is new but the cleaning/maintenance can be better, cos some marks can be seen on the tiles. On the first night, we noticed a bit of blood stain on the side of the bedsheet, which they promptly changed after feedback. Overall a good place to stay in Seoul near Myeongdong.

SL MYEONGDONG Hotel location is very convenient, just a short walk from Myeongdong Exit 10. The airport bus 6015 is also easily accessible near Exits 8–9 of Myeongdong Station. The room size and layout are quite good. In the morning, I left my luggage at the front desk, and when I returned, they had upgraded me to a slightly bigger room—probably noticing that I had quite a bit of luggage. The front desk staff were very polite, and the service was excellent. Would definitely come again next time.
