Cullinan Hotel and Spa

The location is great and convenient. It’s a very short walk from Wangsimni station and the subway line connects very well to other popular locations. The staff were nice and the lobby included a little ramen station, free water, and you could even buy bath bombs at the front desk! Unfortunately, I was not able to purchase a bath bomb as I was too scared to use my bath. I booked my room specifically for the bath and I am disappointed to say that I couldn’t use it due to a lot of mold covering it. There was also mold in the AC. I’m usually very positive and quite easy to please. But the cleanliness issue kind of put a damper on my experience at this hotel.

Good location near the metro station. Has restaurants nearby. Also has CU and GS convenient stores. Hotel provides water.

Overall I had a positive stay at this hotel and would consider staying here again. The location is fairly convenient, within a short walk's distance of Wangsimni subway station (a convenient interchange station for travelling around Seoul). I was able to get everywhere I needed to go from the hotel using only the subway network (including to the nearby city of Anyang). There are also several convenience stores within walking distance of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful; while most staff seemed to speak some English, even those who did not were very accommodating and helpful through the use of translation apps and coming up to my room with me to make sure I could resolve my issue. The room was very comfortable and mostly clean (a couple of grubby corners and so forth but the sheets and upholstery etc. were all very clean). The sound proofing also seemed superb. I don't normally notice this but it particularly stood out to me here. I was grateful for the free 24/7 laundry facilities; I am often awake late at night or very early in the morning so I was able to find times when the machines were free without too much trouble, but as there is only one washer and one dryer, some guests may struggle to catch them when not in use. The free-use water bottle fridge and vending machine in the lobby were also very welcome amenities. I will note to other travellers who may have the same confusion that the air conditioning unit is controlled with the TV remote(!). There is a control panel on the wall of the room which can control the lights and set the room temperature, but it does not actually turn the AC on, which initially led me to assume it was broken. However, the on/off button for the AC is actually near the bottom of the TV remote. This seems to be fairly standard in Korea, but it was very unexpected for me, so something to remember! Again, I overall had a good stay and will consider staying again.

The room is large, the window is small, and the bathtub is very comfortable, which can relieve fatigue. There is also an instant noodle bar on the first floor. I recommend it.

We had to book an extra day because our flight was rescheduled to the next day, and we didn’t want to stay anywhere else anyway. The location is awesome, and I think that’s the biggest selling point of this place. Just keep in mind that there’s no regular room maintenance unless you specifically ask for it at the front desk, so plan accordingly.

This place isn’t be called its name hotel, should be call motel. Very late check-in time after 18.00 so weird. Super bad is about room clean-up, its look dirty from starting date and must tell staff at the lobby everyday Feel not safe Yes location is near metro/train/bus station but actually far from everywhere. We spend 35-45min. To Gangnam, Myeongdong, Hannam, 1 hr to Seoul station, 1.35 hr. to Inchoen international airport Overall for me is bad experience, it not hotel as expected, cause it is motel suited to daily stay backpacker or budgeted tight traveller.

Pros: very friendly service at the front desk, great location - walking distance to mall, subway, theater, decently insulated walls, tons of restaurants around. Cons: dirty room - my sheets had fresh stains, which the hotel changed right away, walls and other surfaces are dirty and can easily wiped the grim away, bathroom drain was clogged, dusty surfaces, floor with stains, single ply toilet paper, the property is just not well maintained - mind you im a very easy traveler.
