Hotel Casa Gerardo

Very beautiful and calm place. Beautiful garden , where every songle corner full of aroma and love. Warm welcoming owner and incredible view. You can have breakfast at the terrace with a stunning sea view. Nice rooms, great location and if you want romantic spot- here it is! Try limonclo spritz)))

Our second stay at Casa Gerardo. There are only a few places that I visit that I would like to return to again & again. Ischia, Sant' Angelo, and Casa Gerardo are on that very short list. The setting, the hospitality (cocktails on the upper patio is one of my most favorite), the lovely breakfast, Giuseppe assisting with transportation (shout out to Giovanni picking us up at the ferry at Ischia Porto & driving us to Ristorante L'Arca & driving us back to the ferry) Giuseppe recommending restaurants & making sure we had everything we needed. Being able to walk to the beach at Cava Grade, Sant' Angelo, & Maronti, hiking Mount Ipomeo, and enjoying everything the island has to offer, while being close enough to stroll into Sant' Angelo for dinner all make the hotel perfect for a vacation destination.

This place is an absolute gem. The views are spectacular, and it's situated in a little corner of Sant'Angelo that's just a short pleasant walk from the bustling centre which is nice to have closeby but would have been too touristic for me to enjoy staying in the middle of. Breakfasts include little bits of care, like cakes baked by Guiseppe (more on him later) or figs that Guiseppe procured from a friend's tree. We also enjoyed midnight swims on the empty beach about 200 metres, including a long staircase, from the place. Guiseppe, the host, is also a completely lovely person-- graceful, funny, interesting to talk to, and was very resourceful in helping us plan our trip. If he didn't own a hotel, I would have tried to convince him to travel on with us when we left!

Casa Gerardo is 3 star hotel with 5 star+ views and hospitality. It 's located in a the quiet hidden niche of Sant'Angelo, but very well connected to bustling areas of Ischia via road and public transport; in fact, there's a bus stop just outside the hotel. Giuseppe, the host, is the best I've ever met so far on my travels. His guests just keep returning, and I am going to be one of them. I met guests who have been returning there for years during my stay. The hotel is a pleasant walk to the centre of Sant'Angelo; has a cove beach located nearby; and a thermal spa centre nearby too. Breakfasts are generous continental and served on the facility's magnificent terrace. What a way to start the day!

Minimal hotel with everything you need to enjoy the beauty of Ischia. Guiseppe will make your stay special, helping in any way he can and serving you drinks as you gaze across the bay in the evening. A nice thoughtful breakfast served every morning too. Altogether a hidden gem, with a stunning cove/beach a two minute walk away and the buzz of the town just a ten minute stroll.

La struttura,domina l'incantevole baia di Sant'Angelo, è vicinissima al borgo marinaro e alla spiaggia di Cava Grado,nonché alle caratteristiche acque del “Sorgeto”. Appena siamo arrivati,ci siamo subito resi conto,di essere giunti in un posto incantevole,per il panorama che incornicia la struttura e per l’ubicazione strategica rispetto al centro di S.Angelo. Non mi soffermo sulle ulteriori opportunità offerte dalla località di S.Angelo , in quanto ciascuno andrà alla ricerca di ciò che più gli interessa. Nella mia modesta esperienza di viaggiatore(dal Canada al centro e sud America,dall’oceano indiano all’Africa e per finire dall’Europa centrale a quella settentrionale)ho avuto modo di confrontarmi con le diverse accomodations,nonché culture e professionalità dei vari gestori delle strutture alberghiere. Tuttavia,l’accoglienza,la disponibilità,la professionalità e la finezza di Giuseppe e Raffaele Iodice,titolari di “Casa Gerardo”,sono state per me e la mia famiglia motivo di relax e piacevolezza per tutta la durata della vacanza. Entrambi si rendono disponibili per fornire tutti i comfort affinchè si trascorra quella che davvero si chiama vacanza! Colazioni strepitose con frutta locale (fichi,meloni,angurie,uva),rigorosamente proveniente da fonti locali e personali. Non mangiavo le marmellate,ma dopo aver assaggiato le loro produzioni,ne ho fatto una scorpacciata. La colazione sulla loro splendida terrazza e lo scenario offerto sulla baia,sono una esperienza davvero fuori dalla norma. Simpatia,discrezione e umorismo sono peculiarità innate in entrambi i fratelli,i quali si prendono cura dei loro ospiti,sin dalla mattina con informazioni necessarie su: escursioni,ristoranti,posti caratteristici sull’isola e suggerimenti in generale per trascorrere davvero una vacanza speciale! Io consiglio vivamente questa location che per quanto mi riguarda, merita il massimo dei voti! “Ad maiora” Giuseppe e Raffaele,buona vita.

Un profumo di casa,un panorama mozzafiato,Giuseppe,Pina e Raffaele i veri padroni di casa,la vera gentilezza,dandoti le pillole della salute semplicemente con le tradizioni(marmellate purissime fatte dalla loro mamma,ciambelle rigorosamente artigianali,pane ischitano tostato,un carrello di acqua e spremute di agrumi). E che dire dei letti, super comodi e stanze pulitissime.Il mare incantevole con la spiaggetta di Cala Grado,a qualche scalino sotto le stanze,che ti fa da cornice per tutta la proprietà. Insomma se vuoi sentirti in vacanza da Casa Gerardo devi andare !!! Grazie mille per avermi “coccolato”

la vista che offre casa Gerardo penso sia fra le più splendide che abbia mai goduto.GIuseppe,il titolare insieme al fratello,piu che un albergatore è divenuto un amico.colazione servita con eleganza su di una terrazza che profuma di mediterraneo. prodotti freschissimi ed attenzione verso gli ospiti impeccabile.quando tornerò ad Ischia sarò felice di ripetere la stessa esperienza. Per la mia prima volta ad Ischia non potevo trovare location migliore per vista spettacolare, struttura funzionale, pulita, titolari e personale disponibili e affidabili. Il b&b è vicino a Sant'Angelo che è un paese accogliente. Lo consiglio vivamente.
