It was a very beautiful small isle in the middle of a marine park. The marine life seem to have suffered a bit from el nino, but it was still lots of life in the waters, but the corrals did not thrive. The isle did not have excessive wildlife due the small size and rather high density of infrastructure, however the nature still was close. As for the facilities we found that the restaurant and reception area to be enchanting with a very nice view of the sea and nearby isles. The furnishings were tasteful and elegant fitting for the Seychelles and creole culture. The boat transfer to the isle was good and the ”limitations in free fares” did not feel limiting due to the generous and flexible fares available. The villa we stayed in was over all very good. There was some details that could have a better finish such as the pool lister, pool exterior, drying possibilities, etc . We did not appreciate the out door toilet though, due to the ground frequently got wet (no matter how much we tried to dry it), and the high humidity dampened the toilet paper. Luckily we did not have any issues with mosquitos, however if the season was not as it was they may make the outdoor shower and toilet more sufferable. Also the small garden near the toilet was muddy and not to pleasant to walk upon when arriving from the beach wanting to clean out feet. The garden could over all be better maintained (but not excessively due to it would be a shame removing the natural feeling). Indoor there was not much negative to comment on, but for future purposes maybe you should install usb outlets or similar to make it easier for international costumers. The food was overall good comparing to our other stays in the Seychelles, and deaccent compared to our normal preferences. The fish dishes was the most refined, but also these could be further improved by consistency in texture. The burger paddy was ok, but did taste a bit like a prefab paddy of higher class. The portion sizes was to large if you wanted to eat more than one dish, it would be nice if they tried to adapt more to the entirety of the dining experience. Also the breakfast felt a bit directed, note that some people do not eat fat or salty foods during the morning, hence to start/to end should be more like lighter foods/ brunch dishes.

Have you ever eaten something that was missing something? Maybe an ingredient was substituted and you could tell something was not just right? Well this hotel is one of those. The property grounds are very well groomed. The buildings are constructed immaculately. The infrastructure is very well done and beautiful. The delivery of the product is just not up to what it should be for this expensive of hotel. We stayed here twice. On arrival and departure from Mahe to Nairobi. On the first visit, we arrived around 5 PM or after. It took an hour to get checked in to the hotel. Keep in mind that the checkout time is 10 AM at this hotel. So they had plenty of time to prepare the room for us. I am a lifetime diamond status with HIlton and they have my credit card on file and know how to charge it quite quickly. They know me well over the years. So that should not be a reason why it took so long to get us checked in. Granted it was a Friday evening check in so probably the B team was on staff. Maybe they had not been trained in how to run the computers as well as the daytime staff. So in advance of our second visit, I asked them if they could check us in a little faster than the previous visit. They were able to do it quicker this time at 2 PM (2 pm is normal check in starting time) but after an hour of in our room, I had to call to have our bags delivered. There was still plenty of beach time to be had. During the room orientation, I asked for a 2nd bed or have the pull out sofa bed fitted with sheets. The person said they would deliver a bed. I waited till 9 PM for them to deliver the bed. I ended up having to inquire about the bed but the person on the other line was a little confused on what I was asking for. Eventually 2 people showed up with sheets to put on the pull out bed. I guess they had changed their mind on delivering a bed. I realize that my expectations out of the Mango House maybe a little high after staying a week at the Four Seasons Desroches Island complex which was exceptional in all ways. So I kind of felt like I was staying at a poorly run Hampton Inn. In fact, I have had better service at a Hampton Inn in many cities. So even though this hotel has a really nice infrastructure, they have a long way to go to be at the level of a Four Seasons hotel as far as service goes.

The hotel has several good, not great, features. It’s on a beautiful piece of land, the staff is sweet and occasionally helpful, and the WiFi works most of the time but it’s very weak and slow. There’s one English news station on the TV, the AC works decently (though it is not strong) and it was clean. Also, parking was easy out front of the hotel. The hotel has several bad aspects. First and most obvious, it doesn’t live up to its title as resort or spa. There is a small and nice pool. There is a fitness center. There is a room for massage treatments. There’s one restaurant, and it’s average, and there is a bar. And of course there is a beach. And that’s it. This is not a resort. It is not a spa. But the hotel claims to be a resort in its ads. The staff were just not very welcoming. Checkin was slow and confused. The room was hot. The bed was uncomfortable. The shower water pressure was weak. The room was way, way overpriced (even for Seychelles which is very expensive). There was zero benefit or recognition for Hilton Honors status (I’m a Diamond member). Other than offering a bottle of water, there was no benefit and no recognition. It was really stunning. No extra points. No lounge or happy hour. No upgrade. I stayed at a Hilton because that usually improves the experience. The staff was sweet and polite (if not very helpful), but the management was aloof, dismissive, and rude. I tried to leave the hotel early, even offering to leave after the icey and confused checkin, and I was told I’d be charged if I left. That made it clear. This hotel is simply an investment for its owners and investors. The owners have done as little as possible to charge as much as possible. When the guest notices failings, management become confrontational. The front office management [Rania Asba, Front Office & Quality Manager] simply stormed away when she (after arguing for 20-30 minutes) couldn’t address the many issues. She was confused and became confrontational, which was very uncomfortable. I wanted to leave and was told I would still be charged. Management alternated between confrontational and confused, mostly confused, and only became confrontational when called on their confusion. The front office manager became indignant when confronted on the low quality, poor checkin, bad room, and many issues of low quality. On the few times she did engage, she was condescending, insecure, and dismissive. There are many nice places in Seychelles, and I will definitely be back to Seychelles, but I definitely won’t stay here again. I paid for a resort and got a basic three star hotel in a nice location. I would have paid less and had a much better experience in many of the two star hotels I visited (like Anse Soleil Beachcomber) that were far nicer and relaxing without claiming to be a resort. I would have even paid less at Hotel Savoy, a five star hotel at Beau Vallon Beach, which as a guest treated me far better than anyone at Doubletree. At the Doubletree, y

L'Escale is a small hotel close to the airport and Victoria. Simon, a gentleman from Kenya working at the reception was the star of our stay. He understood well, was helpful, resourceful and not forgetful. The rest of the staff... quite the opposite. If even the lady running the spa cannot explain to you what the treatments are, if in the restaurant a full buffet breakfast gets served one day, that the next day is only half size and the following day gets completely forgotten (or considered too cumbersome to dish up), if after booking you need to confirm your arrival or transport time 4 times to 4 different people, you know you won't come back. We did come back, as we booked upfront twice for three nights at the beginning and end of our 5 weeks Seychelles stay, and we wouldn't do book here again. The location of the hotel is great, the setup is very nice, but the people working there make it a mission to be a guest. The guest is not the center of the attention - it is rather that the staff makes their problems yours by asking the same questions over and over again, or making promises that don't get delivered upon. On top of that the rooms are visually nice but technically a disaster. We stayed in both of their two bedroom pool villas. TVs either not turning off at all (Villa 1 lounge) or randomly turning on and off by itself (Villa 2), air cons resetting to default 19 degrees though we don't want air con, a light that didn't turn off until we removed the bulb, a telephone flashing to alert you to ”99+ messages”... what a mess. We encountered housekeeping staff cleaning floors/shower with unused towels, and we had turn down service ringing the door bell at 21.30h while we were in bed. Loose shower fittings... you get it all. Management clearly lacks. That Villa 2 is noisy because of the proximity to the vibrating water pumps is an added motivation to look elsewhere. The pros about this hotel are certainly the location, a good gym and yoga room and a very nice layout - and the possibility to moor your super yacht.

We enjoyed a 10 night stay here over Christmas. Staff - Everyone was really friendly and helpful. Reception staff, waiting staff, security guards and cleaners were all polite, full of smiles and accommodating. Buffet - Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice. Hot drinks and egg orders are taken by the wait staff and brought to the table, everything else was self service. Evening buffet was themed each night, Asian night was my favourite. There is a lot of fish on every menu, I don’t eat fish but I found plenty of tasty choices. The restaurant felt relaxed and never too busy. Room - We booked a double room with sea view and terrace. The room was incredible. It was light and airy with good air conditioning. We enjoyed sitting in the terrance and looking out to sea. Pool - The pool looked over the sea. Fresh towels and a water station were always readily available. There were always Sun loungers available when we wanted to sit by the pool. Paris restaurant - We had one visit during our stay. Unfortunately it did not go smoothly. On the positive, I asked for a chicken breast instead of duck in advance and they happily accommodated this, it was really good. The T bone steak was tasty. Sadly, the steak came with potatoes that were hard, then the pineapple tatin was inedible- cold and really hard, like it had been sat in the fridge for a few days. The staff were friendly but the service was disjointed with no consistent person serving our table. Beach Access - The hotel does not have direct beach access. To get to the beach you need to walk to the end of the walkway in the hotel. If the river is low you wade through the river. If not, you have to walk across a wall and do a little jump down to the sand. We were quite happy to do this, but it is something to be aware of if anyone has mobility issues. We had a great stay and would love to return one day.

Coral Strand Smart Choice

Please avoid the Coral Strand Hotel. Every Room has issues with mold (the curtains all contain mold at the very least) and this creates an unpleasant and gross smell which you can not ignore. We were able to change rooms and it got slightly better but thats sadly not the only thing that went wrong. The AC didnt work anymore at one point and about everything in the room broke. This place needs some HEAVY renovation! At least they acted quick with our request to change the room and always tried to fix the issues that we had in a kind manner. The buffet on the other hand was pretty exceptional and I cant give this place just one star. It wouldnt be fair because the location is also pretty nice and they are working hard to imrpove your stay if any issues arise. But still, I recommend avoiding this place, as the mold probleme is severe and will definitely dampen your seychelles experience!

Acajou is a great hotel! Very clean rooms with cozy interior. Nice green territory with good swimming pool and access to the sea shore. There are several restaurants in the hotel with delicious food and pleasant service. Buffet breakfast is very tasty. The staff shows great hospitality, especially we would like to mark the work of Eranda, Aruna and Amila. These guys do outstanding job! It was very nice to have friendly conversations with them. Amila always was attentive and gave special service. We definitely can recommend Acajou hotel and truly hope we will come back one day. Thank you!

Beautiful and comfortable apartment. Comfortable kitchen. Large bathroom. Very clean. Daily cleaning. There is a grocery store on the first floor. Christina, the owner of the apartment, is very friendly. She helped us with the transfer from the airport and back. The neighborhood where the apartments are located is very convenient. Near stores, market, in 3 is a bus stop. The beach is clean, the best. On the beach there are small cafes where you can rent kayaks. We will come back here again. Thank you.

In summary, we found this hotel location to be quite isolated and some of the staff very rigid in approach to customer service. It was like the staff saw everything as black and white no ability what so ever to be flexible, it was across the board so it gives the impression that attitude is coming from management. Please see some examples below: 1. Bus shuttle - We had 3 nights at this hotel. We were on our honeymoon (also known to the hotel.) As soon we arrived we were keen to get to the beach. So we asked did we need to book in on the hotel advertised shuttle. Well forget it if to get there through any assistance of this hotel….. We arrived on a Wednesday morning and the next shuttle going was Friday. We were told we could not go on it because it was already booked out…. For context the main beach is 45 minutes away. We were added to a waiting list and we never heard back. I think this is outrageous. Surely most travelling to this island want to go to the beach? And for us to have arrived and it’s already booked out, you would think the hotel would surely do shuttles some more days if there was this much demand especially due to the remote location. It looked very cheap on the hotels behalf. Or at the very least pre warn customers when booking the accom to book the beach shuttle before arrival? 2. Car rental - On the note of communication from the staff, we had one day left on the island and rented a car from the hotel for 9.30. So we got up had our breakfast and were ready to go for this time. Reception staff could see us waiting and no car arriving. Once again there was just no communication from the reception, it was constantly us going up to them to which they would say “10 more mins”, “15 more mins”…… and every time duration would pass by 10 mins before once again WE would have to go up to them to ask for an update. This went on for nearly an hour and a half…… We fully accept if an external car company has not shown up the hotel has limited capability to control this. But they do fully control their reaction. They should have been chasing the car company they recommended and they made the booking with instead of us chasing them to chase the company. It was extremely annoying to have to keep going up to prompt them when they can see us sitting there and it is clearly miles beyond the last time they gave us. 1 and a half hours wasted when you only have a few days on an island is actually a lot. Plus, just getting up early and being ready and standing there with constant false times actually is just a really irritating start to your day too. While the staff were looking at us sitting there hot and bothered for so long waiting, you think they would even so much as offer a drink of juice or water? 3. Using a snorkel - As discussed above, our days plan was now messed up and delayed at the car company the hotel booked faults. We originally planned to be back at the hotel before 16:00 to use the snorkels…. 16:09 return back and go down to the s

Abbiamo soggiornato qui per 5 notti in trattamento mezza pensione (colazione+cena), ci siamo trovati molto bene. Al nostro arrivo PJ, un ragazzo filippino che lavora al Chez Bea (praticamente gestisce tutto lui), ci è venuto a prendere all'aeroporto con la nostra auto a noleggio. Arrivati al Chez Bea ci ha offerto un drink di benvenuto e abbiamo sbrigato tutte le pratiche sia per il check in all'hotel che per l'auto a noleggio. Al pomeriggio iniziamo il tour dell'isola con la nostra auto che, purtroppo, si rompe. Nel giro di un paio d'ore PJ ci aveva già portato un'auto sostitutiva. La nostra camera, al piano terra, era grande e spaziosa. La colazione viene servita direttamente al tavolo e comprende un piatto di frutta, pane tostato con burro e marmellata e qualche pietanza salata. Quando PJ si è accorto che noi non mangiamo cibi salati alla mattina, ci ha messo più pane o brioches rispetto agli altri ospiti. Le cene, sempre cucinate da PJ, erano tutte deliziose, ogni sera cambiava pietanza ed è stato anche molto attento alle nostre esigenze. Le ultime due sere abbiamo chiesto se potevamo avere il pesce e lui è andato a prendere il pescato del giorno fresco e ci ha cucinato due pesci squisiti. Mi ricorderò per sempre la sua insalata con il pesce marinato, DA VOLAR VIA!!! Molto carina anche la piscina, non grandissima ma ottima per un ultimo bagno di ritorno dalla spiaggia. Molto gentile anche il resto del personale, soprattutto le due ragazze che si occupavano delle camere e della colazione. Unica pecca la pulizia... il bagno non era pulitissimo e nella camera c'erano dei tappeti molto sporchi. In ogni caso ci siamo trovati molto bene e consigliamo Chez Bea a tutti i viaggiatori che cercano confort e buon cibo. Ottima la posizione centrale dalla quale sono facilmente raggiungibili entrambi i lati dell'isola.

四季度假村一如既往的好,非常滿意,前台的Rustom親切熱情,善解人意,湖邊餐廳的Angela、Sharon和Tracy和藹可人,聰明伶利。去用午餐時,餐廳裏空無一人,Angela和Sharon一本正經地告訴我,很抱歉,餐廳關閉了,要明年再開,我有點懵,看着不像啊,前台告訴我有午餐吃,Buggy司機帶我去餐廳時也沒說關閉,兩位美女繼續忽悠我說:“他們不太清楚的”,在我將信將疑時她們終於哈哈大笑:“we’re just kidding you”,然後引位、點餐,非常美味,應該是在塞舌爾吃到的最滿意的菜品,很有趣、也很棒的一次體驗。結賬時我看午餐沒掛帳,我還專門提醒Rustom ,他告訴我free,很有意思的一次體驗。 別墅設計沒話說,體現了四季的該有的水平,雖然不便宜,但物有所值。
