We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The staff truly stood out—they were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond their duties. They even assisted us by retrieving parcels on our behalf and thoughtfully prepared packed breakfasts for us due to our very early departure on the last day. The front desk receptionists were always friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made our stay even more pleasant. We also appreciated the hotel’s pristine and quiet surroundings, providing a peaceful environment throughout our stay. We will definitely return when we are back in Shanghai and highly recommend this hotel to others.

The Remarkable Ms. Zhu, Culinary Ambassador Our stay was defined by an exceptional person we encountered exclusively in the dining area: Ms. Zhu. While we interacted with other staff for front desk matters, Ms. Zhu's domain was the restaurant, and she transformed it into the heart of our hotel experience. She is the Chef and the heart of the restaurant service. Her role is beautifully holistic. She isn't hidden away in the kitchen; she is actively present, overseeing the dining room with a watchful and gracious eye. You can see her ensuring every detail is right, from the food presentation to the guests' comfort. Her culinary skill is evident in the fresh, tasty, and thoughtfully prepared breakfast buffet. The variety of Chinese and Western options felt curated, not just standard. But what set her apart was her personal engagement. She would check on guests, offer a warm smile, and there was a palpable sense of pride in her work. She wasn't just serving food; she was sharing her craft and ensuring everyone started their day well. It's rare to meet someone who embodies both artisan skill and genuine hospitality so completely within their role. Ms. Zhu is not merely a chef who cooks; she is a host who nourishes. Her presence in the restaurant created a welcoming, personal atmosphere that made our meals feel special. While the hotel provided functional services for our trip, Ms. Zhu provided the warmth and memorable touch. We would return primarily for the pleasure of enjoying her culinary hospitality again. She is a true asset and the defining character of this hotel's dining experience.

It is a ver nice and quiet location with park and lake. The hotel is a very beautiful building, wirh nice places to sit in the shade and enjoy the atmosphere. The rooms are in very good condition, the employees are very friendly, the breakfast is super and the service is outstanding. I would love to come again.

The location of the Renzen Retreat is ideal if you want to be out of the city but close enough to Pundong Intl airport. It's relatively quiet there, which makes it a great getaway from the business of the major city areas. The breakfast was okay, but there were limited space and options. The room is spacious, but sadly, I can tell when someone outside near my room is smoking. I was able to get away (like I wanted) and visit some major areas.

I recently stayed at Rezen Retreat (Shanghai Sanjia Xintiansi Tourism Resort) and had a truly rejuvenating experience. Nestled in a serene, scenic area just outside the bustling city of Shanghai, this retreat offers a perfect escape for anyone looking to unwind and connect with nature.The surroundings are peaceful, with lush greenery, charming walking paths, and a gentle rural atmosphere. The entire resort blends modern comfort with traditional Chinese architecture, creating a calming and authentic environment. The room was spacious, spotless, and tastefully decorated with natural materials that made the space feel cozy yet elegant. Everyone was courteous, helpful, and eager to ensure that my visit was as pleasant as possible. Breakfast has good selection. I would happily return and highly recommend it to travelers seeking peace, comfort, and a touch of the countryside near the city.

Beautiful environment and service was great. They sent snacks and fruits to the room and took care of many of our requests. They even packed breakfast for us as we needed to leave before their breakfast time. The hotel is near the airport but further away from attractions.

Staying at this garden-style hotel was incredibly pleasant. Xiao Li and Xiao Xie, the front desk staff, were friendly and efficient. They responded promptly to our check-in requests and even patiently guided us on taking photos in the park. The lush greenery in the courtyard and the cleanliness of the rooms were top-notch.[Laugh]Definitely worth coming back!

We chose to stay here for our last two nights because it’s close to the airport. The hotel compound is large, offering many activities during the summer. However, traveling outside the compound is inconvenient without a car or taxi. Although the hotel was built in 2023, the room and buildings are not well maintained. As it was raining during our stay, there are mosquitoes and the corridor are wet and slippery. Breakfast selection not very impressive but at least serve decent coffee. Kudos to the staff who help us to order foods on their own delivery apps and made payment for us first.

The place was awesome and the staff we really helpful with our queries. They even assisted us to order our dinner since we did not have the food app. It was a lovely stay indeed.

A very peaceful and pleasant stay. Rooms are clean and big. Staff is very attentive and friendly, no English. The property is very beautiful to explore. The breakfast is wonderful. Airport shuttle provided. There is no lunch or dinner. They helped me order takeout and they had some warm beer to sell to me. A little isolated for a solo traveler, but great for a relaxing evening before a flight out of Pudong Airport.

The hotel provided fast pick-up from Pudong Airport (reserved using WeChat). It took us over an hour to clear immigration, and the driver patiently waited for us. It’s about a 20-minute drive north from PVG to the hotel, which is less than average for hotels in the airport area. The hotel is located in a very quiet, peaceful, and quaint resort. Although we could see airplanes approaching from the northeast, preparing for landing, we didn’t hear any airplane noise while in the room. The hotel’s architecture is very unique. If you appreciate traditional Chinese Hui-style architecture, you’ll love the artistic and exquisite buildings with beautiful wood carvings. You’ll see courtyards with ponds, winding corridors, small bridges, and a river on the hotel property. Additionally, the resort features a lake with some water activities. It took my husband and me half an hour to stroll around the resort property. The walk was very relaxing and peaceful! The staff have been very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Our room is on the second level with no elevator, and the two front desk ladies helped us carry one checked bag upstairs. They are so awesome! I have a sensitive sense of smell and noticed that the bedding didn’t smell as nice as I would like. After asking the staff to change to a new set of bedding, they happily accommodated my request, even though it was a bit late in the evening, around 8 PM. The housekeeping lady was also very professional, warm, and helpful. She even tried to help me fix the door lock. It didn’t affect my ability to use the privacy chain to lock the door, so I told the front desk to resolve the door lock issue after we checked out. Their breakfast is one of the best I’ve experienced at a hotel in China, with many meat and vegetarian options. They even have vegetarian buns! The kitchen also provides freshly made wontons and noodles upon request. So delicious! Our checkout was supposed to be before 2 PM, but due to our departure flight delay, we had to stay at the hotel for another two hours. The manager offered to waive the late checkout fee for us. The hotel also offers airport drop-off upon reservation. There is no restaurant in the hotel; however, there’s an independently run restaurant in the resort, which is only a 2-minute walk from the hotel buildings. Although the hotel accepts foreign credit cards, this independent restaurant wasn’t able to accept my Alipay (linked to a foreign Visa credit card), and they didn’t accept foreign credit cards either. My relative in China ended up using the QR code provided by the restaurant and paid for me online. Given the hotel’s close proximity to the airport and its excellent service and environment, I would definitely recommend it to others and would return in the future.

Nice and quiet.

We stayed for a night at this lovely resort just before we had to catch a flight back home from Pudong Airport the next day. Such a tranquil and beautifully kept resort. Away from the hustle and bustle of typical Shanghai hotels, it offers the chance to stay in a retro Chinese styled rooms with convenience of modern facilities. For historical loving people, there is a 100 year old gate there with the most intricate of carvings that you can spend quite a while admiring the details. For families, having guest laundry is also a plus. Would recommend especially if as a stop before heading to catch a flight. Offers free shuttle services to the airport too which is a plus!

Staff was friendly, and accommodating. I wanted a cultural experience that was why I booked this place. The location is beautiful… but the gardens doesn’t look like the photos. It needs some attention, weeds growing everywhere…. It is overpriced. My AC had a mouse/rat that died, and the room stank so bad. Was excited for the “delicious breakfast”, breads was stale, poor choices to choose from. I was expecting some croissants, there were some but they were stale and cut in half. Waaaaay overpriced…. Go stay in the city instead.
