Here is a clean and polished version combined in one flow: --- The room was excellent — truly worthy of the Mövenpick brand. The soap and shampoo were Jurlique, which was really nice, and the hair dryer was Dyson. The bed was very comfortable. We booked two rooms. Our room had no issues at all. The other room, where my uncle stayed, had an issue with the air conditioner not working, so the first night was quite uncomfortable and hot. However, once we informed the hotel staff, they assisted us very well, and we slept comfortably for the remaining nights. The location is excellent. People’s Square Station is right across from the hotel, and it’s only a short walk to the popular Nanjing Road. The area in front of the hotel isn’t overly crowded or chaotic. There are Lawson and FamilyMart nearby, and there are plenty of food options in the area. Overall, it was a great stay! I’d give it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Totally love this place!!! Really big nice room compare with the price. Very new and very clean. Convenient. Nearby lots of famous restaurants & shopping place. Great services. Travel to the Bund, Xintiandi is not far too.

Stayed at Mövenpick by Accor Shanghai People’s Square and had a fantastic experience. The staff were genuinely friendly and always willing to help, which made the stay feel really welcoming. The rooms are new, spotless, and super comfortable, exactly what you want after a full day of walking around Shanghai. The location couldn’t be better. It’s right next to People’s Park and just a short stroll to Nanjing Road, which made exploring the city incredibly convenient. There are plenty of restaurants and cafés all around the hotel too, so finding great food was never an issue. Overall, a perfect base for anyone wanting a clean, modern room and unbeatable central location in Shanghai. Highly recommend!

But what really set this stay apart was Lena Wang at the front desk. From the moment I checked in, she greeted me with a warm, genuine smile that immediately made me feel welcome . Knowing I was visiting the city for the first time, she took the time to share incredibly detailed and useful information—she mapped out the best public transport routes, recommended hidden local eateries (not just the tourist spots!), and even told me about a weekend market that perfectly matched my interests . When I asked about avoiding crowds at popular attractions, she gave me insider tips on the best times to visit, which saved me so much time and hassle. Her knowledge of the city was impressive, and it felt like getting advice from a local friend rather than a hotel staff member . The rest of the staff were also attentive, and the hotel’s public areas were well-maintained, adding to the overall pleasant experience . But Lena’s thoughtfulness and willingness to go above and beyond made the stay feel special. But I'd like to offer a bit of feedback on the breakfast: the space is quite small, and the food selection isn't very rich. I can’t recommend this Mövenpick Hotel enough—for its great location, comfortable rooms, and especially for Lena Wang’s exceptional service. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip!
