The Puli Hotel Shanghai offers a seamless blend of understated luxury and thoughtful service, perfectly situated near major shopping malls and key city attractions. From the moment we arrived, the staff were attentive and efficient, promptly assisting us with our luggage. As our room was not yet ready upon arrival, we took the opportunity to explore the surrounding area. When we returned about an hour later, we were pleasantly surprised to find that our luggage had already been delivered to our room, an excellent example of the hotel’s proactive and considerate service. The room itself was impressively spacious, providing a calm and elegant retreat from the city. The minibar was exceptionally well-appointed, featuring both sparkling and still water, juices, sodas, tea and coffee, beer, as well as fresh fruits, chocolates, and nuts, all replenished daily. The bathroom was equally well thought out, complete with high-quality amenities that added to the overall comfort of the stay. Overall, The Puli Hotel Shanghai delivers a refined hospitality experience marked by attention to detail, comfort, and an ideal location, making it an excellent choice for both leisure and city exploration.

Everything was just perfect. I’ll definitely be back here when visiting Shanghai!

A Heartfelt Birthday Stay Filled with Warmth and Grace From the very beginning, this stay at The PuLi Hotel and Spa felt truly special. Before my arrival, I had written an email mentioning that it would be my birthday. To my surprise, I received a beautifully written reply from Jason—so genuine, poetic, and full of grace. His words alone already made me feel deeply welcomed and cherished. When I arrived, I was astonished to find that I had been complimentarily upgraded to a suite, complete with a lovely birthday cake and two handwritten cards prepared by Belle, a sweet college intern. Her warmth and sincerity truly touched me. At one point, I jokingly asked for extra bath amenities because I loved their scent so much. The front desk, realizing how much I liked them, surprised me by sending a generous selection of them to my room, beautifully packaged with care. I was both touched and a little shy — it felt like they could read my heart. Everything about this stay—from the thoughtful details to the effortless kindness—reflected a rare kind of hospitality that comes from the heart, not from routine. To Jason, for your poetic kindness; To Belle, for your genuine warmth; and to The PuLi team, for making my birthday and reunion so unforgettable— thank you, from the bottom of my heart. This will always remain one of the most beautiful hotel memories of my life. 💛

Supremely stylish hotel despite its age. Rooms are well appointed and of a very comfortable size but felt somewhat dated. Maybe a carpet/ rug or two Might also have warmed up the ambience a bit espwcially in winter. We would have appreciated a dedicated luggage area although closet space for two is generous. Toilets are without bidets. Breakfast at the stylish restaurant was good! Service was Excellent! Special mention of the concierge team: Kenneth, William and Mike! Amazing team that despite their busy schedules managed to fulfill all my requests during the five days stay!!!!

Stayed here last year and this year with my family, and it has always been a pleasure staying at Puli. Special thanks to William who was so excellent and could not have been more welcoming. Would highly recommend this hotel for any families or business travels as the location is excellent.
